MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Bunnie Alice Lee Clem, 93, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born July 28, 1906, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William and Allie Mae Miller Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Vernon Clem.
She was a member of Charles Town Lodge 1028 Loyal Order of the Moose.
She is survived by a brother, William Smith of Front Royal, Va.; six grandchildren, Victoria Elbin of Martinsburg, Bunnie Andrade, Harold Clem, Roy Clem, John Clem and Phyllis Clem, all of Massachusetts; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma May Greenfield; a son, Harold Clem; a brother, Eldred Smith; and a grandson, William Roy Clem.
Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Robert S. Hill Jr. will officiate.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Edge Hill cemetery in Charles Town, W.Va.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Norman L. Dockeney
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Norman Luther Dockeney, 83, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at Heartland of Martinsburg.
Born Sept. 12, 1916, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Luther McDonald and Nellie May Ritenour Dockeney.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret May Kretzer Dockeney; a sister, Mabel Springer of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Springer, Dorothy Breeden, Sarah Mullin and Thelma Breeden; and two brothers, Thomas Dockeney and Luther Dockeney.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Leonard Fyke will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Col. Nicholas S. Strider
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Col. Nicholas Samuel "Sam" Strider, 82, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born May 5, 1917, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles Howard and Edith Katie Wall Strider Sr.
He was a 1935 graduate of Charles Town High School. He attended West Virginia University; and graduated from Ben Franklin University in Washington, D.C.
He worked for the civil service in the office of the Comptroller for the Department of the Army.
A retired U.S. Army colonel, he served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He received the U.S. Army Commendation Medal and Legion of Merit. He retired Jan. 7, 1967.
He was a member of Charles Town Presbyterian Church, and was an elder.
He was a member of American Legion Post 71; Forty and Eight Organization; and Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his wife, Enid Willard Strider; a daughter, Christine Talbott Schwalenberg of St. Genevieve, Mo.; three sons, Dr. Michael Willard Strider of St. Leonard, Md., Steven Craig Strider of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Scott Douglas Strider of Manassas, Va.; a sister, Edith Talbott Cornwell of Alexandria, Va.; a brother, Dr. David Valentine Strider of Charlottesville, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Howard Strider Jr.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Charles Town Presbyterian Church. The Rev. William Everhart will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home in Ranson.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m., at Arlington National cemetery in Arlington, Va.
Lottie Van Rheeden
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Lottie Van Rheeden, 92, of Shepherdstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, at Canterbury of Shepherdstown.
Born Aug. 3, 1907, in Belleville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Lulu Stapp Raith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B. Van Rheeden, in 1987.
She was a member of Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of Women's Association; Chapter S of the P.E.O. Sisterhood; New Street Senior Citizens Group; and Shepherdstown Woman's Club.
She is survived by a son, Bruce F. Van Rheeden of Shepherdstown; six grandchildren, Caitlin Van Rheeden, Maria Van Rheeden, David Van Rheeden, Marc Van Rheeden, Gregory Van Rheeden and Megan Van Rheeden; a great-grandson; and a niece.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold F. and O. Robert Raith.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Randall Tremba will officiate.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Anna Louise Nisewarner, 80, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Nov. 12, 1919, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Caton Cookus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loring G. Glen Nisewarner.
She was a 1938 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She retired from the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg.
She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of Chapter 738 Women of the Moose; and A. A. Robertson Lodge.
She is survived by a daughter, Glenda K. Nisewarner; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Reynolds Cookus.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. Pastor Jack Rudy will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
