MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Glen Wade Ashton, 48, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Born March 11, 1951, in California, he was the son of Marie McGowan of Lockport, N.Y. and the late Fred G. Ashton.
He was a mold repairman and welder for Corning Consumer Products Company.
He attended St. John's Lutheran Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Dona Smallwood Ashton of Martinsburg; his stepfather, Jesse McGowan of Lockport; two daughters, Kori S. Ashton at home and Andrea Lewis of Martinsburg; a son, Bryon G. Ashton of Inwood, W.Va.; a brother, Billy Ashton of Barboursville, W.Va.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Josephine Ashton, and a brother, James Ashton.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, 2060 Rosedale Road in Martinsburg. The Rev. James Riley will officiate.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

RANSON, W.Va. - Mary Ellen Kesecker, 56, of Ranson, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson.
Born May 17, 1943, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Alvey W. and Ruth Myrtle Brown Plotner Sr.
She was a member of Church of God.
She was a member of Chapter 738 Women of the Moose.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ruth Mowbray, Linda Gail Dillow and Georgetta Ruth Breeden, all of Charles Town, and Barbara Ellen Pohl of Ohio; four sons, Roy Lee Dillow of Martinsburg, W.Va., Robert Lee Dillow Jr. of North Carolina, Jeff Allen Dillow of Ranson and Bart Wayne Dillow of North Carolina; four sisters, Ruby Carol Gaither of Martinsburg, Alice Jane Engle of Berryville, Va., Rebecca Ann Longerbeam of Charles Town and Margaret Elizabeth Viands of Rippon, W.Va.; a brother, Kenneth Allen Plotner of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a close friend, Russell Adrian Kesecker of Charles Town.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Alvey W. Plotner Jr.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Harold O. Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Cecelia "Cel" Betty White, 67, of Route 1, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born Oct. 12, 1932, in Chestnut Hill, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Turner Longerbeam.
She was a Methodist.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Don J. White; two daughters, Elizabeth Casteel and Faith Jackson, both of Harpers Ferry; three sons, Donald White, Dennis White and Jeffrey White, all of Harpers Ferry; a sister, Ellabelle Renner of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Lee White and Terry Allen Cogle; a sister, Ada Cogle; and five brothers, Arnold Longerbeam, Harvey Longerbeam, Lester Longerbeam, Wilmer Longerbeam and Melvin Longerbeam.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church, Chestnut Hill. The Rev. Basil Day and the Rev. Franklin Nick will officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill cemetery.
The family will receive friends today and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Louise Keesecker Fuss, 93, of Charles Town, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born Feb. 24, 1906, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Philip T. and Nanie Stater Keesecker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur T. Fuss.
She was a beautician in Charles Town for many years.
She is survived by one son, Glen Fuss of Palmdale, Calif.; three grandchildren, Bridget Stover of Sacramento, Calif., and Kellie Zigo and Erik Fuss, both of Columbus, Ohio; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ara Gibson; and five brothers, Mason Keesecker, Bryon Keesecker, Palmer Keesecker, Ward Keesecker and Jessie Keesecker.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Rosedale cemetery, Martinsburg, W.Va. The Rev. Richard A. Neal will officiate.

John A. Ryan
INWOOD, W.Va. - John A. Ryan, 61, of Inwood, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born May 15, 1938, in Harrisburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Maynard and Julia Schroader Ryan.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Onalee Hinkle Ryan; a stepdaughter, Brenda Flanagan of Hedgesville, W.Va.; a stepson, Sherman Wilfong of Craigsville, W.Va.; seven step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Curtis Wilfong.
Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Lynnie Ambrose will officiate. Burial will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian cemetery.

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Louise Collins Garrett, 57, of Hidden River, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born Sept. 1, 1942, in Florida, she was the daughter of Almeda Nanmom Collins of Florida, and the late Louis Cannon Collins.
She was a retired accountant and office manager for Stohlman Volkswagon and Subaru Dealership in Tysons Corners, Va.
She was of the Baptist faith. She attended Middleway United Methodist Church in Middleway, W.Va.
She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Robert Classen; two daughters, Angela M. Pereschuk of Keedysville, and Sharri Lynn Walitalo of Rockwall, Texas; two sisters, Ann Nix of Tampa, Fla., and Vernice Watts of Birmingham, Ala.; one brother, Dan J. Collins of Angier, N.C.; one grandson; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Collins and Charles Collins.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Middleway United Methodist Church. The Rev. Patricia Drake will officiate. Burial will be private.
There will be no visitation.
