SUMMIT POINT, W.Va. - Michael Christopher Tucker, 12, of Pembroke Grove, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Born Nov. 10, 1987, in Baltimore, he was the son of Dale Robert and Terry Lynn Worrell Tucker of Summit Point.
He was a seventh-grade student at Charles Town Junior High School, Charles Town, W.Va.
He was a member of Summit Point United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Sunday School Class and the Youth Group, and served as an acolyte.
He played Summit Point Little League Baseball for the Angels. He was a member of Bobcats and Paw Prints 4-H Club of Summit Point.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Marissa Carol Tucker at home; a brother, Matthew Steven Tucker at home; maternal grandparents Elijah and Nancy Worrell of Pasadena, Md.; paternal grandmother Victorine Tucker of Ellicott City, Md.; maternal great-grandmother Janie Rorrer of Beckley, W.Va.; and cousins.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Summit Point United Methodist Church in Summit Point. The Rev. John Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Middleway Masonic cemetery in Middleway, W.Va.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town.

Doris J. Gosnell
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Doris Jean "Dottie" Gosnell, 64, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Feb. 15, 1935, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Louise French Gosnell.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
She was a client at Eastern Panhandle Training Center.
She is survived by three sisters, Helen Caldwell of Philadelphia, and Florence Lord and Marian Farling, both of Martinsburg; two brothers, William Gosnell of Charleston, W.Va., and Dale Gosnell of Martinsburg; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James C. Gosnell.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Al Clipp will officiate. Burial will be in Johnsontown cemetery in Johnsontown, W.Va.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Orvel V. Peters
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Orvel V. Peters, 77, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Born Feb. 25, 1922, in Eunice, W.Va., he was the son of the late Nelson and Maude Tony Peters.
He retired from the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He was a prisoner of war for four years and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was a member of Westview Baptist Church.
He also was a member of V.F.W. in Beckley, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Phillips Peters; two daughters, Martha J. Brooks of Antioch, Calif., and Deanna Inkrote of Maryland; one sister, Betty Carpenter of Alabama; one brother, Jack Peters of Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Ann Peters; and one brother, Dallas Peters.
Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Johnny Kelley will officiate.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Baltimore, with military honors by the State of Maryland National Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Carol L. Unger
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Carol Lee Unger, 48, of Berkeley Springs, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at her home.
Born Nov. 19, 1951, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of Robert Stanley and Sarah Ellen Everett Unger of Berkeley Springs.
She was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She was a home health aide, and a community volunteer.
She was a Protestant.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Danielle Natasha Bamber of Martinsburg; one sister, Rose Marie Bishop of Hancock; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Amber Dawn Fink and Melanie Dawn Bohrer.
Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wesleyan Chapel, 612 Harrison Ave., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. William C. Swope will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends at the church Sunday one hour prior to the service.

Hazel E. Hooper
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Hazel Elizabeth Hooper, 91, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Home in Berkeley Springs.
Born July 30, 1908, in Mount Union, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Levi and Myra Cowan Wible.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton L. Hooper, in 1976. They were married
July 15, 1930.
She was a 1926 graduate of Mount Union High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.
She was a member of Berkeley Chapter 77, Order of the Eastern Star in Berkeley Springs, and AARP.
She is survived by one daughter, Eleanor H. Effland of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Esther Hutchison of Bethlehem, Pa.; one granddaughter, Terri L. Effland of Greencastle, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Olive Hack and Mabel Wible; and one brother, Lloyd Wible.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Union cemetery in Mount Union. The Rev. Kelly L. Scott will officiate.
