MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Jacob Lee Cave, 64, of Martinsburg, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Dec. 28, 1935, in Blairton, W.Va., he was the son of Leah Coates Cave of Martinsburg and the late C. Claude Cave.
He retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and the 167th West Virginia Air National Guard.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.
He was a member of Men's Christian Fellowship Bowling League.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Saville Cave; two sons, Mark A. Cave of Martinsburg and Chad M. Cave of Frederick, Md.; two sisters, Patricia A. Grove of Gerrardstown, W.Va. and M. Dawn Devenney of Inglis, Fla.; a brother, C. Donald Cave of Martinsburg; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brian A. Cave; and a brother, M. Ray Cave.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church. Pastor Don B. Smith will officiate. Entombment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg.

Pauline I. Alger
RANSON, W.Va - Pauline Isabelle Alger, 76, of Ranson, W.Va., died Monday, May 22, 2000, at her home.
Born April 3, 1924, in Millville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Sarah Hawk Garrett.
Her husband, Randolph Alger, preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Bolivar Pentecostal Church of Christ.
She is survived by six daughters, Barbara Jean Bean of Martinsburg, W.Va., Linda Jane Higgs of Shepherdstown, W.Va., Shirley May Alger and Jean Ann Painter, both of Ranson, Joan Ann Underwood of Charles Town, W.Va., and Sharon Lynn Trovinger of Hagerstown; five sons, Gary Lee Alger, David Lee Alger, Franklin William Alger and Kenneth Wayne Alger, all of Ranson, and James Randolph Alger of Shepherdstown; one stepdaughter, Bonnie Jean Dunn of Middleway, W.Va.; two sisters, Nettie Longerbeam of Charles Town, and Betty Deck of Ranson; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Nevie Longerbeam; and two brothers, Harvey and Herman Garrett.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Bolivar Pentecostal Church of Christ, Camp Ground Road, Bolivar. The Rev. Bev Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery in Charles Town.
The family will receive friends at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home in Ranson today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
David V. S. Milburn III
VIAN, Okla. - David V. S. Milburn III, 33, of Vian, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 27, 1966, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of David S. Milburn Jr. and Gwen Milburn of Bunker Hill, W.Va., and Carolyn Hayes Ballard of Vian.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Vian.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Carla Milburn and Tammy McCullough, both of Martinsburg, and Crissy Milburn of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; a brother, Marty Cloud of Linden, N.J.; maternal grandfather, Paul Hayes Jr. of Gerrardstown; and paternal grandparents, Patricia A. and Douglas L. Miller of Nollville, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lucille Hayes; and his paternal grandfather, David V. S. Milburn Sr.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. Pastor Jack Rudy will officiate. Burial will be in Tuscarora cemetery.

Eldora M. Trail
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Eldora Martha Trail, 69, of Linnihurst Street, and formerly of West Main Street in Hancock, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
Born Feb. 2, 1931, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Campbell and Martha Denkenberger Campbell Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Junior Trail, in 1994.
She was a homemaker.
She was a Protestant.
She was a member of Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Hancock; and had been active with the Girl Scouts and Brownies of Hancock.
She is survived by a daughter, Tracey Trail-Mahan of Soquel, Calif.; two brothers, David Campbell of Morgantown, W.Va. and Billy Dean of Kingwood, W.Va.; and four granddaughters.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. in Hancock. Evangelist Timothy Swindell Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Piney Plains United Methodist cemetery in Little Orleans, Md.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 2 p.m.

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Arlean M. Russler, 84, of Falling Waters, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 3, 1915, in Rappahannock County, Va., she was the daughter of the late William Winston and Bertha Lucy Cloud Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russler.
She was a member of Martinsburg Church of God.
She is survived by a son, James Staubs of Falling Waters; two grandchildren, Teresa Jainniney and Robert Staubs; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Staubs; seven sisters, Bessie Bennett, Beulah Custer, Anna Mae Ward, Jessie Siford, Mabel Symons, Irene Pasco and Lou Cook; a brother, Sam Murphy; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at noon at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Howard J. Snow Jr.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Howard James "Bubby" Snow Jr., 65, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Home in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born May 21, 1935, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Howard James and Pauline Leonard Snow.
An upholsterer, he was employed by Berkeley Upholstery. He worked in the White House for John and Edward Kennedy.
He is survived by his former wife, Josephine O'Leary McBride of Martinsburg; two daughters, Lisa Jo Snow of Martinsburg and Tracey L. Salinas of Hedgesville, W.Va.; three sons, Jerome Snow, Dennis P. Snow and James H. Snow, all of Martinsburg; two sisters, Arlene Tabler of Pikeside, W.Va. and Eunice Horner of Hedgesville; a granddaughter; five grandsons; nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Delores Kilmer of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph James Snow.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. Pastor Mark Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
