NOAH A.R. KUHN
CARPENDALE, W.Va. - Noah Aaron Robert Kuhn, three weeks old, of Carpendale, made his journey to Heaven on Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997. We know he is in the loving care of his Pap and Granny Kelley, Grandma and Granddad Kuhn, and Grandma and Granddad Chavis.
Born Sept. 28, 1997, in Morgantown, he was the son of Cory Allen "Pete" Kuhn and Samantha Carolyn (Bussard) Kuhn.
Noah is also survived by his brother, Jaymes Allen Harley Kuhn, at home; his paternal grandparents, Jay and Cathy Kuhn, Carpendale; maternal grandparents, Sam and Sheila Bussard, Spring Gap, Md.; paternal great-grandparents, James and Eleanore Kuhn, Triple Lakes, and Steve and JoAnn Wray, Cascade, Va.; maternal great-grandparents, Herman and Grace Bussard, Cumberland, Md., and Russ and Carol Beckman, Spring Gap; paternal great-great-grandma, Catherine Ritchie, Spring Gap; uncle Russell Bussard, wife Linda and cousin Nathan, Cumberland; aunt, Mary Kuhn, Carpendale; several great-aunts and great-uncles, including a special great-uncle Bob Kelley, Cumberland; and great-aunt and great-uncle, Elizabeth and Larry Huff, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Harry L. Burchell Jr. officiating.

Noah is under the watchful eyes of Jesus, Our Lord. Although short, we thank God for the time we had with Noah.
CHARLES B. KUYKENDALL
MOOREFIELD, W.Va. - Charles "Charlie" B. Kuykendall, 79, of Elm Street, Moorefield, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, after a long illness.
Born July 10, 1918, in Hardy County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Michael and Hattie (Wratchford) Kuykendall.
Mr. Kuykendall was the owner and operator of the Kuykendall's Radio and TV, Moorefield. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren, the John M. Golliday Post 64 American Legion, the Denny-Pratt-Moyers Post 9606 VFW, the Disabled American Veterans Association, an Honorary member of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company 46, a Founding Board member of the Valley TV Co-op, and a former Operating Engineer for WELD Radio Station, Fisher.
Surviving are his wife Kathleen (George) Kuykendall; one son, Larry Kuykendall, Moorefield; two sisters, Blanche Koontz, Romney, and Mary Sions, Harrisonburg, Va.; and one granddaughter, Pastor Renee Kuykendall-Scholten, Harrisonburg.
Friends may call at the Fraley Funeral Home, Moorefield, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Veteran's Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren on Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Pastor Renee Kuykendall-Scholten and the Pastor Buzz Weatherholtz officiating. Mr. Kuykendall will be taken to the church one hour prior to the time of service.
Interment will follow at the Olivet cemetery, where Military Graveside Rites will be accorded by the Moorefield Veteran's Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company or to the Moorefield Church of the Brethren Building Maintenance Fund.
HARRY A. KUYKENDALL
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Harry A. Kuykendall, 88, of 450 Depot St., Romney, died Thursday, April 3, 1997, at the Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Jan. 19, 1908, in Hardy County, he was a son of the late Mike J. Kuykendall and Hattie (Wratchford) Kuykendall.
Mr. Kuykendall was a retired mechanic. He was a member of the Romney Brethren Church and was a deacon of the church.
Surviving is his wife, Gertie (George) Kuykendall. Mr. and Mrs. Kuykendall celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Oct. 10, 1996. Also surviving are four daughters, Violet J. Smith, Baltimore, Phyllis J. Robertson, Essex, Md., Irene V. Minturn, Essex, and Bernita J. Ham, Marion, Va.; one brother, Charles Kuykendall, Moorefield; two sisters, Blanche Koontz, Romney, and Mary Sions, Harrisonburg, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Miller Funeral Home, 115 E. Birch Lane, Romney, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Roger Leatherman officiating.
FRIEDA M. KERNS
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - Frieda Marie Kerns, 60, of Route 2, Ridgeley, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1997, at her residence.
Born Aug. 8, 1937, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dora (Hartman) Shanholtz. She also was preceded in death by one brother, James Franklin Shanholtz; and one sister, Josephine Frances Friend.
Surviving are her husband, Willard E. Kerns Sr.; three sons, Willard E. Kerns Jr. and wife Teri, Ridgeley, Kelvin R. Kerns and wife Helen, S.C., Bryan K. Kerns and wife Cheryl, Ridgeley; one daughter, Rose Doraleen Cates and husband David, La.; two sisters, Eloise Belle Hott, Cumberland, and June Marion Burkey, Hyndman, Pa.; and 10 grandchildren, Megan and Taylor Cates, La.; Amber, Sarah, Andrew, and Jonathan Kerns, Ridgeley; Vicky, Nichole, and Holly Falls, Ridgeley; and Darick Kerns, Ridgeley.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Leasure-Stein Funeral Home, 230 Baltimore Ave., Cumberland, on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Sven E. Miller officiating.

HUGH H. KEPNER
KEYSER, W.Va. - Hugh H. Kepner, 91, of 345 Parkview Drive, Keyser, died on Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Oct. 17, 1906, in Pocahontas County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Eugene and Elsie Virginia (Griffith) Kepner. He also was preceded in death by a son, James E. Kepner.
Mr. Kepner was a retired conductor for the Western Maryland Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Surviving are his wife, T. Maxine (Secrist) Kepner; one grandson, James E. Kepner, Wadsworth, Ohio; two stepsons, Robert Winkler Jr., Linwood, Pa., and Lee Winkler, Keyser; two stepdaughters, Rhonda Tranum, Keyser, and Patty Winkler, Westernport; one brother, Dwayne Kepner, Hambleton, W.Va., 12 step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Markwood McKenzie Funeral Home, Keyser, on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John F. Footen officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
ROGER A. KEPLINGER SR.
MOOREFIELD, W.Va. - Roger Allen Keplinger Sr., 50, of P.O. Box 877, Moorefield, died on Monday, Sept. 22, 1997, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.
Born Sept. 30, 1946, in Petersburg, he was a son of the late Carl E. Keplinger and Willard (Mayle) Keplinger.
Mr. Keplinger was employed by Wampler Foods, Inc. of Moorefield. He graduated from Hampshire High School, Class of 1967.
Surviving are his wife, Shelia (Nixon) Keplinger, whom he married
on Nov. 15, 1980; one son, Roger A. Keplinger Jr., at home; two daughters, Tyra Lynne Keplinger, Jacksonville, Fla., and Nikole Lynn Keplinger, at home; and two sisters, Sandy Keplinger, Short Gap, and Vicky Keplinger, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ted Osgood officiating.

RAYMOND LEROY KELLER, SR.
KEYSER, W.Va. - Raymond Leroy Keller Sr., 70, of Route 2, Box 49B, Keyser, died Saturday, May 31, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Feb. 18, 1927, at Beryl, he was a son of the late James H. and Isabelle (Metcalf) Keller. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Dema Wertman; and one step-granddaughter, Stephanie Dvonne Rotruck.
Mr. Keller was a retired material supervisor for the CSX Railroad with 44 years of service. He later was employed in the maintenance department with the Mineral County Courthouse and was a supervisor for the Fountain Public Water Service.
He attended the Headsville United Methodist Church, Headsville. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Nancy Hanks Post No. 3518 VFW, and the Boyce-Houser Post No. 41 American Legion, both of Keyser.
Surviving are his wife H. Fern (Snyder) Keller; three daughters, Sueann Faith Keller, Keyser, Iona Raye "Sue" Keller, Morgantown, and Mary Frances Nash, McCoole; one son, Raymond Leroy Keller Jr., Morgantown; two stepsons, Greg K. Rotruck and Hal F. Rotruck, both of Keyser; two brothers, James H. Keller Jr., and Richard W. Keller, both of Keyser; two sisters, Betty Maquire, Cumberland, and Lois Ann Sanchez, Staunton, Va.; three step-grandchildren, Robin Lynn Rotruck, Gregory K. Rotruck II and Harold F. Rotruck II, all of Keyser; former son-in-law, Craig A. Kesner, Keyser; and a godchild, Kelli Robinette, Carpendale.
