ELDRIDGE C. KESNER
KEYSER, W.Va. - Eldridge C. Kesner, 86, of HC 72, Box 140, Keyser, died Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born April 24, 1911, near New Creek, he was a son of the late Joseph Luther and Martha Jane (Miller) Kesner. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda M. (Dolly) Kesner on October 28, 1995; and by one sister, Buena Defibaugh.
Mr. Kesner was retired from the maintenance department with the Mineral County Board of Education. He attended the old Paris School at New Creek for 8 years. He was a member of the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, New Creek.
Surviving are one son, Richard L. Kesner and wife Dorothy, Ridgeville Road, Keyser; two daughters, Phyllis Lyon and husband Robert, New Creek Drive, Keyser, and Karen Sue Kesner, at home; one sister, Lona Gurd, Covington, Va.; two grandsons, Craig Alan Kesner and wife Trina, New Creek, and Brian Scott Kesner and wife Barbara, Ridgeville Road, Keyser; four great-grandchildren, Kirk Alan Kesner, Danielle Marie Kesner, Whitney Lynn Kesner, and Alexis Renee Kesner; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren on Saturday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Herman L. Baliles and the Rev. Ed Weaver officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services.

KATHRYN M. KIFER
AURORA, W.Va. - Kathryn M. Kifer, 63, of Route 1 Box 382, Aurora, died Monday, Nov. 10, 1997, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Born May 12, 1934, in Cross, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Hilda (Divelbliss) Baker. She also was preceded in death by her husband, William "Scooch" Kifer; a son, Larry Kifer; and a sister, Betty Muir.
Mrs. Kifer was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 71 American Legion, Oakland. She was Brethren by faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Poling and husband Roger, Aurora; two brothers, John Baker and wife Shirley, Cross, and Roger L. Baker and wife Wanda, New Creek; two sisters, Leona Logsdon and husband Harold, Westernport, Md., and Rayma Fickes, Moscow Mills, Md.; three grandchildren, Laura Poling, Oakland, Md., Kim Poling and Anna Poling, both of Aurora; and a great-grandson, Eugene Wade Root III, Oakland.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stanley Waybright officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
WILLIAM E. KIGHT
BOCA RATON, Fla. - William E. Kight, 84, of 23343 Blue Water Circle, Boca Raton, died Dec. 5, 1997, in the Edgewater Point Nursing Center.
Born in Elk Garden, W.Va., he was the son of the late William H. Kight and Mae (Winning) Kight.
Mr. Kight was a member of the Allegany High School Class of 1929 and was graduated from Washington College, Chestertown, Md., majoring in chemistry. He was formerly employed by the Celanese Corp. and Allegany Ballistics Laboratory. He was a member of the St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Pompano Beach.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen (Hetzel) Kight; a stepson, Eric B. Fable, Stone Harbor, N.J.; two sisters, Louise K. Rice, Annapolis, Md., and Betty Jean Hansrote, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, G. Byron Kight, Sun City Center; and a number of nieces and nephews.
CONNIE F. KIMBLE
KEYSER, W.Va. - Connie F. Kimble, 26, of Route 1, Box 167, Keyser, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Nov. 29, 1970, at Baltimore, she was the daughter of Edgar P. and Mary L. (Dawson) Kimble, of Keyser.
Miss Kimble was a waitress at the Hagenbuch Restaurant, Wiley Ford, and the Hamburger Haven Restaurant, McCoole, Md. She was a 1989 graduate of Frankfort High School, Short Gap.
Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Edward P. Kimble and Gary L. Kimble, both of Keyser; one sister, Linda K. McKenzie and husband Edward, Keyser; one nephew, Nathan W. McKenzie, Keyser; and several aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Fountain United Brethren in Christ Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Dean officiating.
GEORGE P. KING
KEYSER, W.Va. - George P. King, 78, of 599 W. Piedmont Street, Keyser, died on Wednesday, March 5, 1997 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born March 21, 1918 in Gorman, Md., he was the son of the late Oliver Guy and Bertha Virginia (Jenkins) King.
Mr. King was a World War II Army disabled veteran. He received the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Deguerre with Silver Star and the American Defense Service Ribbon.
He was a United Methodist by faith. He was a member of VFW post 3518 Nancy Hanks, Keyser.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma E. Powell) King, two sons, Ronald F. King, Winchester, Va., and Edward Allen King and wife, Lora, Hartmansville, W.Va.; four daughters, Beverly J. Braithwaite Bishop and husband, Charles, Jr., Keyser; Brenda Lee Keller, Keyser; Ida Haines and husband, Kenneth, Springfield, and Tina Marie Rodeheaver and husband, Denny, Jr., Keyser; one brother, Jack B. King, Keyser; one sister, Donna Staggs, Keyser. He also is survived by 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Markwood McKenzie Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, March 8, at 1 p.m. with Dr. Parker L. Hinzman officiating. Interment will be in Queens Point cemetery, Keyser.
Military honors will be accorded at graveside by local veterans organizations.
DENCIL L. KIRKPATRICK
BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - Dencil (Denny) Lloyd Kirkpatrick, 37, ormerly of Cumberland, died Monday, Sept. 15, 1997, at Holbrook Nursing Home in Buckhannon.
Born July 3, 1960, in Weston, W.Va., he was the son of the late Marvel Kenneth and Nellie Delortha (Lorentz) Kirkpatrick. He also was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Kirkpatrick.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was a former employee of Big Lots in Cumberland.
Surviving are his former wife, Brenda Kirkpatrick; two sons, Matt Kirkpatrick and Tom Spiker both of Cumberland; two daughters, Samantha Kirkpatrick and Krista Spiker, both of Cumberland; three sisters, Marsh and husband Dave Snyder of Weston, W.Va., Patricia Strickland and Brandi DeAngelino, Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, Mike and wife Jeanie Lorentz of Buckhannon, Kevin and wife Debbie, Kirkpatrick, and John Kirkpatrick, both of Weston, and Rick Kirkpatrick of Pittsburgh.
Friends will be received at the Boyle Funeral Home, Weston, on Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. Services will be conducted following the viewing.

ELK GARDEN, W.Va. - Allen James Kitzmiller, 68, of Elk Garden, died Thursday, May 27, 1997, at his residence.
Born May 5, 1928, in Bloomington, Md., he was a son of the late Gabriel and Pearl (Methner) Kitzmiller.
Mr. Kitzmiller was retired from Westvaco Corp. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Lois (Hanson) Kitzmiller; seven sons, George and Ronald Kitzmiller, Mount Storm, Roger Kitzmiller, Houston, Texas, Frederick Kitzmiller, Salem, Ore., Richard and Harold Kitzmiller, Elk Garden, and James Kitzmiller, Oakland, Md.; four daughters, Virginia Paugh and Mildred Paugh, Elk Garden, Betty Kitzmiller and Cindy Kitzmiller, Hedgesville; five brothers, Arnold, Norman, and Gabriel S. Kitzmiller, all of Houston, Texas, Russell Kitzmiller, Rawlings, Md., and Frederick Kitzmiller, Florida; four sisters, Murial Elias, Weidman, Mich., Katherine Bernard, Christmas, Fla., Betty Dake, Newport News, Va., and Shirley Hoover, Keyser; 24 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, Md., on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donald E. Marple officiating.
LARRY E. KRATZER
THREE CHURCHES, W.Va. - Larry Eugene Kratzer, 54, of Three Churches, died on Saturday, August 9, 1997, at his residence.
Born August 24, 1942, in Dalmatia, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert Eugene and Anna Arlene (Lenker) Kratzer. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Rosa Marie Kratzer.
Mr. Kratzer retired from GTE, Romney, where he worked as a cable splicer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of St. Luke's Church, Malta, Pa., a member of the Upper Shenandoah Valley Bowling Association NABI, the Romney VFW, and the Romney American Legion 40 & 8.
Surviving are his wife, Isa Ruth (Shanholtz) Kratzer; one daughter, Rose Ann Kratzer, Three Churches; one stepdaughter, Jean Dooley, Woodbridge, Va.; one sister, Patsy A. Gwizdale, Romney; one brother, Dennis Kratzer, Dalmatia, Pa.; and four nephews.
Friends will be received at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. with Robert Jeffreys, Minister, officiating.
