MYRTLE R. HEINRICK
MARTIN, Tenn. - Myrtle Rita (Lemon) Heinrick, 100, of Martin, died Sunday, June 15, 1997, at Columbia Volunteer Hospital.
Born Oct. 6, 1896, in Scherr, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John Marshall Lemon and Belle Lemon Kimble. She also was preceded in death by two husbands, Harry M. Hudson and Albert S. Heinrick.
Mrs. Heinrick was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Martin. Surviving are one son, Harry M. Hudson and wife Betty R. Martin; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Lewis Lemon, Keyser, W.Va.
Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, W.Va., on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. S.D. Sawyers officiating.
HELEN L. HEAVNER
MOOREFIELD, W.Va. - Helen L. Heavner, 66, of Dogwood Street, Moorefield, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at Grant Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 7, 1931, in Hardy County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Simon and Mary (Stonebreaker) Turner.
She is survived by her husband Larry Heavner of Moorefield; three sons, Allen Shoemaker, Rig, W.Va., Mike Shoemaker and Denny Shoemaker, both of Moorefield; one brother, May Turner, Needmore, Pa.; four grandchildren, Patrick Shoemaker, Sarah Shoemaker, Melanie Shoemaker, and Nathan Shoemaker; and one great-grandson, Brian Helmick.
Friends may call from 5 till 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Mel and Lisa Fike officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet cemetery in Moorefield.
Mrs. Heavner was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, and VFW Auxiliary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fraley Funeral Home of Moorefield.
JACK A. HEAVENER
ROMNEY, WVa. - Jack Allen Heavener, 64, of Romney, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Feb. 9, 1933, in Hampshire County, he was the son of the late Frank and Leona (Everett) Heavener Sr. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia "Peg" Graham.
Mr. Heavener was an electrician employed by Kelly-Springfield until it closed. He was presently employed by Cooper Industries, formerly known as Abex, Winchester. He was a member of the Indian Heights Presbyterian Church, Romney; a life member of the VFW Post 6667, Fort Ashby; and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Betty J. (McKee) Heavener; four sons, Steven A. Heavener, Mark L. Heavener and wife Kimberly, Michael E. Heavener and wife Jayne Anne, and Scott M. Heavener, all of Romney; one daughter, Sue H. Davis and husband Kevin, Yellow Spring; three brothers, James D. Heavener and Frank Heavener Jr., Romney, and Paul E. Heavener, Kernersville, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Friday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Romney on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Meadows officiating, assisted by the Rev. John S. Franklin.
Interment will be in the Ebenezer cemetery, Romney. Military rites will be accorded by the Veterans Organizations of Hampshire County.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
JAMES E. HARMAN
KEYSER, W.Va. - James E. Harman, 86, of 500 Carskadon Lane, Keyser, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Aug. 18, 1911, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late James Kidwiler and Anna Nina (Brewer) Harman.
Mr. Harman was a retired press operator in the filtration department for the Celanese Amcelle Corporation with 42 years of service. He attended Allegany High School, Cumberland, Md. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Keyser; a member and Past Master of Davis Lodge No. 51 AF&AM;, and served as secretary of the lodge from 1982 until the time of his death; a member of Keyser Chapter No. 19 Royal Arch Masons, Keyser; Damascus Commandery No. 23 Knights Templar, Keyser; Alkire Chapter No. 10 Order of the Eastern Star, Keyser; and Scottish Rite Bodies, Cumberland.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth R. (Taylor) Harman; one son, James A. Harman, Joliet, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
ELIZABETH A. HARMISON
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Elizabeth Ann Harmison, 95, Romney, died Monday, Nov. 24, 1997, at the Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney.
She was born April 15, 1902, in Capon Bridge, W.Va., the daughter of the late Baxter and Julia (Sirbaugh) Sirbaugh.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Leroy Harmison, on Oct. 3, 1965; two brothers; one sister; two brothers-in-law; and one grandson.
She was retired as a Nurse's Aid from Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney. She was a member of the Romney Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Van E. Harmison, Prince George, Va., and Charles N. Harmison, Cedar Town, Ga.; two daughters, Barbara J. Mershon, Frederick, and Cheryl Singhal, Silver Spring; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Herman Goede assisted by Pastor Dewitt Clinton.
KENNETH E. HARMON
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Kenneth Edward Harmon, 44, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, May 12, 1997, at his home.
Born April 30, 1953, in Martinsburg, he was the son of Helen Jane Weir Harmon, Westernport, and the late Edward Norris Harmon. He also was preceded in death by his foster father, Ercell Johnson.
He was a member of the Back Creek Valley Full Gospel Church, Hedgesville. He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School, Class of 1972. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 307, Cumberland. He worked as a hand line technician with the Richardson-Wayland Electric Corp., Roanoke, Va., and most recently with M.J. Electric, Luke. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 2883, Cresaptown.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his foster mother, Pearl Virginia Johnson, Berkeley Springs; six sisters, Carol Ann Herrell, Martinsburg, Ruth Louise Bennett, Hagerstown, Linda Lou Cooper, Berkeley Springs, Virginia Lee Silver, Hedgesville, Mary Gene Harmon, Martinsburg, and Evelyn Marie Harmon, Romney; one brother, James Meredith Harmon, Keyser; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday for the convenience of friends.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Max E. Silver officiating.
Interment will be in the Back Creek Valley Full Gospel Church cemetery.

GEORGE MARTIN HARRIS
WILEY FORD, W.Va. - George Martin Harris, 85, of Wiley Ford, died Nov. 7, 1997, at Heartland Nursing Home in Keyser, W.Va.
Born April 14, 1911, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late George Bernard Harris and the late Francis Mae (Lynch) Harris. He also was preceded in death by one son, George David Harris in Feb. 22, 1997; three brothers, Leo, Earl, and Frank Harris; and one sister, Eleanor Moore.
Mr. Harris was a retired insurance agent for The United Insurance Company of America. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II, where he served with the Medical Corps for two years in Louisville, Ky. He was a member of the American Legion in Ridgeley, and Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Mary "Etta" (Epperly) Harris; a son, Paul Harris and wife, Jo, Westminster; three brothers, Bernard Harris and Eugene Harris, both of Cumberland, and Paul "Sonny" Harris, Baltimore; two sisters, Lucille Bridges, Cumberland, and Edith Thompson, Baltimore; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Benny Brakeall officiating.
