CHARLES C. "HOPPY" HOPKINS
KEYSER, W.Va. - Charles C. "Hoppy" Hopkins, 71, of Route 1, Box 140 C5, Keyser, died Thursday, May 1, 1997, at his residence.
Born July 11, 1925, in Hampshire, he was the son of the late Della (Hamilton) Charlton and stepson of the late Samuel Charlton. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Hopkins; and a grandson, Jason White.
Mr. Hopkins was retired from the Masteller Coal Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Kelly Mansfield Post 52, Piedmont, and a member of Keyser VFW Post 3518. Mr. Hopkins was Pentecostal by faith.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Alice (Virts) Hopkins; two sons, Bob Hopkins Sr. and wife Sue, Keyser, and Steve Hopkins, Keyser; three daughters, Kathleen Ravenscroft and husband Roger, Keyser, Anna White and husband Melvin, Westernport, Md., and Judy Williamson and fiance Gary Kalbaugh, Keyser; one sister, Bernadine Citarelli, Keyser; nine grandchildren, Bob Hopkins Jr., Joe Hopkins, Nikki Shaw, Joshua Ravenscroft, Erik Ravenscroft, Shane White, Zachary Hopkins, Abigail Hopkins, and Brandy Williamson; five great-granchildren; and a special friend, P-Nut Roy, Keyser.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Eversole officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, where full miliary honors will be accorded at the graveside.
EUNICE M. BILLMEYER
RIO, W.Va. - Eunice Mae Billmeyer, 86, of Rio, died Friday, April 11, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Aug. 4, 1910, in Rio, she was the daughter of the late James Wilson and Zella (Bean) Wilson. Her husband, George G. Billmeyer, died Feb. 21, 1994. She also was preceded in death by one daughter; one grandson; one great-grandchild; one brother; and one sister.
Mrs. Billmeyer was co-owner of Billmeyer Grocery for 40 years in Rio. She was a member of the Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Rio.
Surviving are one son, Eugene Billmeyer, Romney; three daughters, Rebecca Gillam, Neelyton, Pa., Patricia Kemp, Shepherdstown, and Elizabeth Davis, Rio; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor R. Don Prange officiating.
Pallbearers will be Scott Kemp, E.T. Billmeyer, Jeremy Mongold, Mark Gillam, Philip Billmeyer and Doodle Lewis.

GLEN C. BITTINGER
PIEDMONT, W.Va. - Glen C. Bittinger, 60, of 38 E. Fairview St., Piedmont, died Saturday, March 1, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Aug. 7, 1936, in Bloomington, Md., he was the son of Helen (O'Brien) Bittinger, Oakland, Md., and the late Edward Bittinger. He also was preceded in death by one daughter, JoAnn Logan Hanlin.
Mr. Bittinger was a retired construction worker from Local 616 having worked at Carl Belt Inc. He was Methodist by faith and was an avid gardener.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wilma (Mayhew) Bittinger; two daughters, Gloria Harman, Frostburg, Md.; Janet Bray, Kitzmiller, Md.; one stepson, Vernon Cornett, Cumberland, Ky.; two brothers, Richard Bittinger and wife, Vonda, Bloomington; James K. Bittinger and wife, Elizabeth, Oakland; one sister, Ethel McKenzie, Keyser; four grandchildren, Joanna Amoroso, Piedmont; Jason Amoroso, Piedmont; Brittany Harman, Frostburg; J.R. Bray, Kitzmiller, Md.; two step grandchildren, Christopher Cornett and Christine Cornett, Cumberland, Ky.; one great-grandson, Alec Jason Amoroso and three step great-grandchildren, Christopher, Heather and Jessica.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William Kady officiating. Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.

MADELINE JEAN BLACKBURN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Madeline Jean Blackburn, 75, of Ocean Springs, Miss., formerly of Carskadon Lane, Keyser, W.Va., died Saturday, May 17, 1997, at Ocean Springs.
Born July 6, 1921, in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Rex Isaac and Katherine (Moran) Frankland. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Blackburn, 1990; and a daughter, Katie Blackburn.
Mrs. Blackburn was a homemaker. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Keyser.
Surviving are one son, Raymond Blackburn, Ocean Springs, Miss.; one sister, Jean Truly, Frostburg; and two grandsons, Raymond Lee Blackburn II, and Jeffrey Steven Blackburn.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Graveside services will be in Philos cemetery, Westernport, on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Judson Pealer officiating.
FRED E. ISENBERG
KEYSER, W.Va. - Fred Elroy Isenberg, 69, formerly of 25 Old Orchard Drive, Keyser, died Thursday, June 26, 1997, at the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, Md.
Born Sept. 3, 1927, in Williamsburg, Pa., he was a son of the late Millard and Ethel (Kensinger) Isenberg.
Mr. Isenberg was a retired tax accountant for Westvaco Corporation with nearly 40 years of service. He was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and the Altoona School of Commerce. He was a member of the Fountain United Brethren in Christ Church, Keyser.
Mr. Isenberg was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the National American Legion, the Gideons International, and the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Shickley) Isenberg; one son, Timothy C. Isenberg, Madison; one daughter, Vera L. Davy, Burlington; two foster sons, Ronald Reeseman and Ted Newkirk, both of Altoona, Pa.; two brothers, John I. Isenberg, Keyser, and Raymond Isenberg, Williamsburg, Pa.; and three grandsons, Jonathan Davy, Justin Davy, and Blake Isenberg.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Dean officiating.
Graveside committal services will be conducted at the Royer cemetery, Royer, Pa., on Sunday at 4 p.m.
EVELYN M. BANE
KEYSER, W.Va. - Evelyn M. Bane, 74, of HC 84, Box 8, Keyser, died Friday, March 21, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born March 31, 1922, in Allegany County, Md., she was a daughter of the late Floyd A. and Fannie B. (Hevener) Miller.
Mrs. Bane was a member of the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, the Women's Fellowship of the church, and the Mineral County Historical Society. She was an avid collector of genealogy.
Surviving are her husband, Robert A. Bane; two daughter, Betty Dzubba, Berlin, Germany, and Doris Helsley, Keyser; three grandchildren; and two nieces.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Herman L. Baliles, the Rev. Owen Stultz and the Rev. Franklin Bishop officiating.
HOY W. FERGUSON
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - Hoy W. "Bud" Ferguson, 63, of Ridgeley, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born March 17, 1934, in Kerens, he was the son of the late Harry H. and Goldie L. (Arbogast) Ferguson.
Mr. Ferguson was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. He was a Baptist by faith, and he was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Ann M. (Deffenbaugh) Ferguson; three daughters, Diane M. Robinette and husband Greg, Debra M. DeVore and Bruce Snyder, and Tammy L. Miltenberger and husband Jeff, all of Ridgeley; one brother, Harvey H. Ferguson and wife Patty, Marianna, Pa.; two sisters, Virginia M. Deffenbaugh and husband Jack, Munhall, Pa., and Betty R. Heckel and husband Melvin, Elkins; four grandchildren, Shawn and Chad Robinette, and Davie and Autumn Miltenberger; two special friends, Dave Miller and Ron Whitacre; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Benny R. Brakeall officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
