NELLIE A. KESNER
ROUGH RUN, W.Va. - Nellie Adaline Kesner, 86, of Rough Run, died Saturday, July 19, 1997, at the Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg, where she had resided since Sept. 18, 1991.
Born March 8, 1911, at Rough Run, she was a daughter of the late George and Clara Adaline (Bond) Kesner. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Myrtle Kesner Mongold, Lena Kesner Westfall and Beulah Kesner Sites; five brothers, Austin Kesner, William O. Kesner, John Kesner, Lester Kesner and Fred Kesner; four infant brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews including nephew Oliver Ketterman.
Miss Kesner was a member of the Hedrick Chapel Church, Dorcas.
Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Stella Kesner, Dorcas, with whom she made her home until September 1991; and several nieces and nephews including Doug and Melda Kesner, Dorcas, and Allen and Kim Kesner, Cabins.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard L. Longbon officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Hedrick Chapel Church, Grant County Nursing Home, or the charity of the donor's choice.
ROBERT L. BRILL
NEW CREEK, W.Va. - Robert L. Brill, 81, of New Creek, departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born Dec. 26, 1915, at Zepp, Va., he was a son of the late James N. and Rosa (Miller) Brill. He also was preceded in death by his foster parents, Henry and Verdie Ritchie of Needmore, W.Va.; one brother; four sisters; one foster brother; and five foster sisters.
Mr. Brill retired in 1974 after 30 years' service as a general mechanic at the Westvaco Luke Mill. Prior to his employment with Westvaco, he was associated with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Aleutian Islands. He was a faithful and longstanding member of the Church of the Brethren and the Nancy Hanks Post #3518, VFW, Keyser.
Mr. Brill was the loving and dedicated husband of 52 years to Sadie L. (Combs) Brill. He is also survived by a niece, Louise Kirk, Keyser; nephews, Hoyt Whetzel, Baker, W.Va., and Eugene Brill, Keyser; one sister, Ollie Yates, Warrenton, Va.; foster relatives, Edith Ritchie and Bessie Ritchie, both of Westernport, Roy Ritchie, Ridgeley, W.Va., and Frank Walker, Keyser. Along with a large number of other loving nieces and nephews, is a special niece, Christine Funkhouser and family of Short Gap, W. Va.; and special nephews from the Louis and Vivian Combs family.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the New Dale Church of the Brethren, Baker, on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ward Halterman, the Rev. Herman Baliles, and the Rev. Lloyd Heatwole officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the New Dale cemetery.

CARL RICHARD "DICK" FRIDLEY
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - Carl Richard "Dick" Fridley, 67, of Ridgeley, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at the Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit.
Born Jan. 24, 1930, in Ridgeley, he was the son of the late Conrad "Jake" and Nellie G. (Justice) Fridley. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Clark Fridley.
He was a 1948 graduate of Ridgeley High School.
Mr. Fridley was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, having served in Okinawa. He retired from the Maryland National Guard, where he was a Sergeant First Class.
Mr. Fridley was retired from the Boilermakers Local #154, Pittsburgh, Pa. He also was a retired member of the Ironworkers Local #568, Cumberland.
He was a life member of the Gold Star Post #6452, V.F.W., Ridgeley.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Diane (Wilson) Fridley. He was a devoted father to three sons, David Fridley, Ridgeley, Gary Fridley and wife, Rhonda, Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Stephen Fridley and wife, Bonnie, Ridgeley; loving grandfather to Shane, Matthew, Brook, Stephanie, Scott, Daniel, and Holly Fridley; one brother, Conrad Dale Fridley, Manassas, Va.; one sister, Lois Jean Ringler, Ridgeley; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Vernon Beachum officiating.

LYSLE R. EVERHART JR.
KEYSER, W.Va. - Lysle Rogers Everhart Jr., 62, of Glen Burnie, Md., formerly of Keyser, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997, at North Arundel Hospital, Glen Burnie.
Born Feb. 12, 1935, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Lysle R. Everhart Sr. and Margaret E. (Grimes) Everhart. He also was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Mr. Everhart was raised in Cumberland and moved to Glen Burnie 20 years ago. He graduated from Allegany High School in 1954. Mr. Everhart retired after 36 years of employment as a cartographer for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration in Washington, D.C. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Pasadena United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie (Ward) Everhart; one son, Lysle Everhart III, Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Kimberly Zwobot, Pasadena, and Jennifer Everhart, Glen Burnie; one sister, Linda Wiley, Keyser; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at Queens Point cemetery, Keyser, on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Sue Culbertson Jarrett officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser.
CLYDE W. BRINKMAN
WILEY FORD, W.Va. - Clyde W. Brinkman, 87, of Wiley Ford, died Monday, March 17, 1997, at the Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, Cumberland, Md.
Born Oct. 24, 1909, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late J. Howard and Mary Emylie (Gracey) Brinkman. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie C. (Files) Brinkman, in 1986.
Mr. Brinkman was retired from the B & O Railroad. He was a member of the Old Furnace Church of the Brethren, where he served as church deacon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are one son, William H. Brinkman and wife Mary Jo, Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Betty J. Hatter and husband Charles, and Joan Self and husband William, all of Ridgeley; one sister, Leona Miller, Cumberland; one brother, Howard Brinkman and wife Frances, Cumberland; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Don Mathews and the Rev. Calvin Roop officiating.
HARTZELLE K. EVERLINE
KEYSER, W.Va. - Hartzelle Kathryn Everline, 82, of Route 2, Keyser, died Friday, Aug. 15, 1997, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Sept. 16, 1914, in Purgitsville, she was a daughter of the late Burt Allen Helman and Martha (Arnold) Helman. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Chester J. Everline Sr.
Mrs. Everline was a homemaker and Methodist by faith.
Surviving are one son, C. J. Everline Jr. and his wife Joy, LaJolla, Calif., one sister, June Helman Ashby, Keyser; and one niece, Michelle Joy Ashby, Mauertown, Va.
At Mrs. Everline's request, her body was cremated. There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1997, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, Md., with the Rev. Richard Mortimore officiating. Friends and family may attend.
The Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, is in charge of arrangements.
PAUL B. BROTEMARKLE
WILEY FORD, W.Va. - Paul Bryan Brotemarkle, 30, of Wiley Ford, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born July 14, 1967, in Cumberland, he was the son of Charles A. Brotemarkle, Pinto, and Betty (Shreve) Brotemarkle, Carpendale. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Goldie Brotemarkle; maternal grandmother, Minnie Shreve; and two aunts, Margaret Brooks and Jenny Shreve.
Mr. Brotemarkle was employed at the Cumberland Pasta Company. He was an avid pool and shuffleboard player.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife, Lisa (Hall) Brotemarkle; one daughter, Tonya Brotemarkle; two sons, Charles and Scott Brotemarkle, all at home; two sisters, Denise Payne and husband, Zak, Annette Brotemarkle and friend, Richard Dorsey, all of Carpendale; grandfather, Daniel Shreve, Keyser, W.Va.; three nieces, Nicki, Chrissy, Ashli; one nephew, Colten; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margurite and Walter Hall; three brothers-in-law, Mitchell, Roger and Greg Hall, all of Wiley Ford; and an aunt; several uncles; and cousins.
