LOIS F. OURS
PETERSBURG, W.Va. - Lois (Feaster) Ours, 80, of Petersburg, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Grant County Nursing Home, where she had resided since April 23, 1997.
Born Sept. 14, 1916, at Blacksville, she was a daughter of the late Fred L. and Besse (McIndoe) Feaster. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie and Irene Feaster.
Lois was a graduate of West Virginia University, and taught school in Grant County for 40 years. She was a member of the Grant County Association of Retired School Employees, and Grove Street United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 25 years. She was chairman of the Grant County Public Library Board, and a chartered member of the Grant County Arts Council.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Leland Ours; two sons, Leland ``Thad" Ours and wife Nancy, and C. Fred Ours and wife Carol, all of Petersburg; four grandchildren, Josh Ours, Tad Ours, Brian Ours, and Jeremy Ours; one great-granddaughter, Libby Ours; and one sister, Marguerite R. Feaster, Petersburg.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Garber and the Rev. Richard Longbon officiating.
Memorials may be made to Grant County Public Library, Petersburg High School Scholarship Fund, or charity of choice.
ROBERT A. QUEEN SR.
KEYSER, W.Va. - Robert A. Queen Sr., 66, of Route 1, Box 201 A, Keyser, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Aug. 16, 1931, at Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Elbert and Inez (Harris) Queen. He also was preceded in death by one son, Ellery B. Queen; and one granddaughter, Tabitha Queen.
Mr. Queen was the owner of B&B; Air Conditioning and Heating. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 662, Keyser.
Surviving are his wife, Jane A. (Rhodes) Queen; three sons, Robert A. Queen Jr., Eagle Bay, N.Y., Russell Allen Queen, Berlin, Md., and Christopher Queen, Frederick, Md.; four daughters, Katie Inez Pace, Harpers Ferry, MaryJane Bimini Howard, Olney, Md., Christine Brinkmeier, Florida, and Jennifer Fiore, Westminster, Md.; one brother, E.B. Queen, Potomac, Md.; one sister, Joan Foreman, Fairfax, Va.; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Queen requested that his body be cremated.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Headsville United Methodist Church, Headsville, on Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Anderson officiating.
The Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, is in charge of arrangements.
JOHN C. RICHARDS, SR.
PIEDMONT, W.Va. - John C. ``Bootsie" Richards Sr., 82, of Piedmont, died Wednesday, May 14, 1997, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born May 2, 1915, in Piedmont, he was the son of the late Harry M. and Pansy (Legge) Richards.
Mr. Richards retired from the electrical shop at Westvaco in 1978. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont; the Tri-Towns Lions Club; a life member of the Kelly-Mansfield Post 52; McCoole VFW 6775; and Knights of Phythias. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Eleanor M. (Zimmerman) Richards; one son, John C. Richards Jr. and wife Connie, Laurel, Md.; and two grandchildren, John C. Richards III and Susan E. Richards.
Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Jarrett officiating.
Donations may be made to the Tri-Towns Rescue Squad.
Pallbearers will be from the Kelly-Mansfield Post 52 and McCoole VFW Post 6775.
EVA G. RICHMOND
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Eva G. Richmond, 87, of Fort Ashby, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at Dawn View Manor Nursing Home, Fort Ashby.
Born May 16, 1909, at Fort Ashby, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland T. and Ethel (Hawkins) Pyles. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard R. Riley; one brother, Lee J. Pyles; and one nephew, Joseph T. Shriver.
Mrs. Richmond was a 1934 graduate of the Monongalia County Hospital School of Nursing, Morgantown. She had worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, Decatur Street, Cumberland, Md., and retired from Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Fort Ashby. She also was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Retired Nurses Association.
Surviving are her husband, Richard R. Richmond; two sisters, Ruth H. Deremer, and Margaret T. Broome, both of Fort Ashby; a sister-in-law, Dolly Pyles, Fort Ashby; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dallas Forren officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be nephews, Blair Deremer, Blaine Deremer, Joseph Deremer, Allen Streett, Gerald McCaslin, and Mark Shriver.

JOHN H. RICKENBERG
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - John H. Rickenberg, 76, of Ridgeley, died Tuesday, May 27, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Aug. 10, 1920, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John H. and Emma Victoria (Stott) Rickenberg.
Mr. Rickenberg was a retired chicken farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where he was an usher.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy E. Rickenberg; one daughter, Anita D. Rickenberg, Ridgeley; and one grandson, John S. Rickenberg.
At Mr. Rickenberg's request he was cremated.
Memorial services will be conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark C. Dill officiating.
The family requests that contributions be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
HAROLD E. ROE, SR.
KEYSER, W.Va. - Harold Edward Roe, Sr., 74, of Keyser, died Thursday, May 29, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Feb. 6, 1923, in Eckman, he was the son of the late James and Nora Jane (Doss) Roe.
Mr. Roe worked as an operator of heavy equipment for the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood Area, where he retired after 20 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion, Essex, Md., the Essex Moose, Edgewood American Legion, and the VFW, Middle River, Md.
Along with his wife of seven years, Margaret P. (Rice) Roe, Keyser, he is survived by four sons, Harold E. Roe Jr., Jackie L. Roe, John R. Roe, all of Edgewood, Md., and Donald E. Roe, Abingdon, Md.,; four daughters, Janice Hardin, Jonesburg, Tenn., Patty Brown, Aberdeen, Md., Susan Buchanan, Bel Air, Md., and Nancy Jackson, Darlington, Md.; one step-son, Grant Deffinbaugh, Essex, Md.; two step-daughters, Starr Leavel, Rehobeth Beach, Del., and Melanie Cushing, Ridgeley; 22 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, Md., on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home on Monday, June 2, 1997, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard W. Goode officiating.
Interment will be in Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, Baltimore.
Pallbearers will be John R. Roe, Joshua J. Roe, Harold E. Roe Jr., Brian Roe, and Jackie L. Roe.
