ROY G. REEL
KEYSER, W.Va. - Roy G. Reel, 80, of 1335 Cornell St., Keyser, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997 at the Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born June 6, 1917 at Emoryville, W.Va., he was a son of the late Martin F. and Anna P. (Evans) Reel. He also was preceded in death by his wife Dora Garnet (Queen) Reel on May 2, 1997; one son, Roy D.P. Reel; and one daughter, Nola Sharpless.

Mr. Reel was a retired foreman in the coal mining industry. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Clearwater, Fla.

Surviving are one daughter, Brenda Cannon, and husband Bernard, Keyser; son-in-law, David S. Sharpless, Keyser; three brothers, Martin C. Reel, Seabrook, Lee W. Reel, Kitzmiller, and Charles R. Reel, Keyser; five grandchildren, Gwen Sharpless Snyder, Jill Sharpless, David Sharpless III, Dora Gibson, and Dawn Barbe; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Marple officiating.

Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.

PAUL F.L. MILLER
FISHER, W.Va. - Paul Frazier Lee Miller, 61, of Fisher, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 17, 1997, at Baker, W.Va., from an apparent heart attack.
Born Nov. 12, 1935, in Hedgesville, he was the son of the late Kenneth Allen and Susan (Reid) Miller.

Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army, was a truck driver for Southern States, was a member of the Moorefield American Legion, and attended the Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred (Reel) Miller; two daughters, Jennifer "Elaine" Clarke, Fisher, and Nancy Louise Smith, Baker; one son, Jimmy Lee Miller, Fisher; three sisters, Virginia Mae Judy, Falling Waters, Eleanor Louise Leingang, Normall, Ill., and Mary Catherine Hite, Falling Waters; two brothers, William Allen Miller and Kenneth Albert Miller, both of Fisher; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Elmore-Chambers Funeral Home, Moorefield, anytime after 8 a.m. on Sunday. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Bowyer officiating.

Burial will follow at Miller Family cemetery.

GEORGE E. RADER
NEW CREEK, W.Va. - George E. Rader, 65, of HC 75, Box 18, New Creek, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born March 15, 1932, at Upper Tract, he was a son of the late Fred McKee and Lyda B. (Wilson) Rader. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Lyda L. Dawson, on Sept. 14, 1995; and a half sister, Lucille VanCleave.

Mr. Rader was retired from the Westvaco Corporation 6 and 7 Machine Room with more than 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, New Creek; Queens Point Memorial Post 6775, VFW, McCoole, Md.; and Boyce-Houser Post 41, American Legion, Keyser.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine M. (Miller) Rader; stepmother, Dempsey (Lahman) Rader, Harrison, Ohio; two sons, Timothy G. Rader, New Creek, and Mark E. Rader and wife Donna, Westernport, Md.; one brother, Charles "Sonny" Rader and wife Bertha, Keyser; one half brother, Robert Rader and wife Norma, Hamilton, Ohio; one stepbrother, Glen Marshall and wife Lois, Fairmont; two half sisters, Linda Gillman and husband Raymond, and Patsy Wright and husband Clyde, Harrison, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Timothy Daniel Rader, Matthew Dawson, Trulie Dawson and Ian Rader.

Also surviving are many wonderful friends and his loving church family.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, New Creek, on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Herman Baliles and the Rev. Mary Aronhalt officiating.

The body will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren Building Fund, HC 75, Box 15, New Creek, WV 26743.

JOHN C. RHEA SR.
BAYARD, W.Va. - John C. Rhea Sr., 71, of Bayard, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997, at Courtland Acres Nursing Home, Thomas, W.Va.
Born Dec. 10, 1925, in Saltville, Va., he was a son of the late Ballard Rhea and Rosemary (Davidson) Rhea. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel (Church) Rhea, in 1995, as well as one son; one daughter; three brothers; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rhea was a retired construction worker and served as the Bayard police chief for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are two sons, John C. Rhea Jr., Brownsville, Pa., and Gerald Rhea, Mount Storm; two daughters, Linda Frye, Hopewell, Va., and Rose Clark, Bayard; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William McCallister officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Storm cemetery.

Full military honors will accorded at graveside by members of local veterans' organizations.

Individuals wishing to make contributions in Mr. Rhea's memory, may make them to a hospice of their choice.

ANNE E. PANCAKE
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Anne Eskridge Pancake, 77, of Romney, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at her residence on River View Farm.
Born Oct. 26, 1919, at the River View Farm, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Andrew and Mary Howard (Heiskell) Pancake. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. William (Avery) Milleson and Mrs. William (Frances) Jones.

Miss Pancake taught at both the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf and the West Virginia School for the Deaf. She retired after teaching for more than 35 years.

Miss Pancake was a member of the Romney Presbyterian Church since 1932 where she taught Sunday School for 41 years. In 1981, she was the second ordained female elder in the Romney Presbyterian Church. Miss Pancake was the leader of the Circle Bible Study for 35 years and served as historian for the Presbytery Women of Shenandoah and the Synod of the Virginias. Miss Pancake was a life member of the Presbyterian Women and the recipient of the Zoulean Anderson Award for distinguished Bible teaching from Montreat-Anderson Presbyterian College in North Carolina. She also served as editor of the Romney Presbyterian Church Newsletter and the Shenandoah Presbyterian Women Newsletter. Miss Pancake was a loyal supporter of the Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Va., and Massanetta Springs Conference Center in Harrisonburg, Va. She was an avid supporter of the Global Mission Effort of the Presbyterian Church "USA."

Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. E.W. (Alma) Lacey Jr., Winchester, Va., Mrs. George E. (Edith) Herriott, Romney, Mrs. Denny M. (Mary Jo) Slane, Richmond, Va., Mrs. Garrett B. (Sally) Kuykendall, Romney, and Miss Virginia Pancake, Romney; five nephews and four nieces.

Friends will be received at the residence at River View Farm, Romney, on Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at the Romney Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Dr. John S. Franklin and Dr. Joseph A. Slane officiating.

Interment will be in Indian Mound cemetery, Romney.

Memorials may take the form of donations to the Romney Presbyterian Church, 100 West Rosemary Lane, Romney, WV 26757.

LLEANDRE F. RUBIO
WOODSTOCK, Ga. - Lleandre F. Rubio, 13, of Woodstock, formerly of Piedmont, W.Va., died Sunday, July, 27, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center as a result of an automobile accident.
Born Jan. 15, 1984, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of Guillermo and Melissa (Taylor) Rubio.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his Maternal Grandparents, James and Betty Taylor, Piedmont.

Lleandre attended the eighth grade at Woodstock Middle School, Woodstock. He was a Pentecostal by faith.

RUTH I. MILLER
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Ruth I. Miller, 77, of Fort Ashby, died Tuesday, April 22, 1997, at her residence. She and her sister, Mary Pearl Bennett, left together, hand in hand, to join Jesus in heaven.
Born March 29, 1920, in Buck Valley, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ira and Katherine (Wertz) Smith. In addition to her parents and sister, she also was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katie Miller.

Mrs. Miller worked in the spinning department at the Celanese Plant. She belonged to the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Fort Ashby VFW Post 6667 Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as president. She also served as a past president of the Fourth District.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth R. Miller; two sons, Edwin Miller and wife Mary, Fort Ashby, and Terry Miller, Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Irene McGregor and husband Bill, and Carole Haines and husband Phillip, all of Fort Ashby; 10 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Fort Ashby VFW will conduct a joint memorial service for Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Bennett at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

A joint funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dallas Forren officiating.

Interment will be in Fort Ashby cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ed Riley, Ron Hershberger, Eddie Willison, Doug Wolford, Ron Evans, and Steve Wotring.

WILLIAM T. MILLESON
SPRINGFIELD, W.Va. - William T. Milleson, 89, of Springfield, died Monday, May 5, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Sept. 16, 1907, in Springfield, he was the son of the late Silas C. Milleson Sr. and Susie French (Taylor) Milleson. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Avery (Pancake) Milleson, on Feb. 14, 1990; and one brother, Silas C. Milleson Jr.

Mr. Milleson was a lifelong resident of Hampshire County, an outstanding individual and an inspiration to all who knew him. He graduated from Potomac State College and West Virginia University. While a lifelong livestock farmer, he served 56 years as a director of the First National Bank of Romney. He served as the bank's president, vice president, and chairman of the board. Mr. Milleson also served 12 years as a delegate in the West Virginia State Legislature. As a legislator, he was a member of the Banking and Insurance Financial Committee, and vice-chairman of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. After leaving the legislature, he served as a citizen member of the State Forestry Committee, and was appointed by Gov. Rockefeller to his first six year term on the State Building Committee.

Mr. Milleson was a member of the Springfield Presbyterian Church; Romney Lions Club; Springfield Ruritan Club; West Virginia Horticulture Society; and past county and state director of the West Virginia Farm Bureau; over 50 year member and past master of Clinton Lodge 86 AF&AM; president and director of Farmers Livestock Exchange of Winchester, Va.; past director of Southern States Cooperative, Richmond, Va.; and secretary/treasurer of the Springfield Water Association. Mr. Milleson was the recipient of the Rotary Club Knight of Ole Hampshire award in 1990.

In his spare time, Mr. Milleson took up flying and was an avid flyer and barnstorming pilot for many years. His love for traveling led him to organize and lead three ``People to People" tours to Europe and the Soviet Union.

Surviving are one son, William J. Milleson Sr. and wife Vickie Jo, Springfield; one daughter, Mary French Barbe and husband John W., Romney; one sister, Mary Sue (Milleson) DuVall, Fort Ashby; five grandchildren, Mary Margaret (Barbe) Story, J.T. Barbe, Julie Ann Milleson, Jill Christine Milleson, and William J. ``Joe" Milleson Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Jessica Avery Story.

Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, Wednesday, May 7, 1997, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be at the Springfield Presbyterian Church, Springfield, Thursday, May 8, 1997, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Sue Lowcock Harris and the Rev. Sumner D. Sawyers officiating.

Interment will be in Springfield Hill cemetery, Springfield.

At the family's request, memorials should take the form of donations to the Springfield Presbyterian Church, Springfield, WV 26763.

RICHARD A. MILLS
BAKER, W.Va. - Richard A. Mills, 63, of Route 1, Box 162-A, Baker, formerly of New Creek, died Monday, March 24, 1997, at the home of his sister in Cresaptown, Md.
Born March 16, 1934, at Keyser, he was a son of Mabel K. (Dawson) Eagle, Baker, and the late Kenneth Isaac Mills. He also was preceded in death by a sister, Iris V. Wise; and a brother, Hillary Mills.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two sisters, Hilda Shell, Cresaptown, Md., and Peggy Mills, Baker; three brothers, Wayne Mills and Allan Mills, both of Baker, and Gene Mills, Bergton, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Moyer and the Rev. James Runion officiating.

Interment will be in the Cabin Run cemetery, Keyser.
