Peggy Ann Cash
Peggy Ann Cash, 58, of Frametown, passed away February 16, 2009. She was born August 8, 1950 a daughter of the late Cecil and Dorothy Hamric Cash.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolly and Raymond Wilson, Betty and William Mitchell, brothers, Ronnie and James Cash; niece, Diane Wilson; nephew, Raymond Wilson.
Her sister and brother-in-law, with whom she made her home, Dottie and Freddie Carr of Frametown; sister, Wavlea Dawson and husband, Art of Melbourne, FL, survive her.
She will be missed and was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones, many special friends and neighbors, Roger and Debbie James and family.
Services were held at 3 p.m., Thursday, February 19th at Hope Baptist Church, Frametown with Rev. Rich Demastus officiating. Burial was in the Hamric Cemetery, Tate Creek.

Shelva Skinner
Shelva Skinner, age 90 of Ireland, WV passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Holbrook Nursing Home in Buckhannon, WV. She was born March 23, 1918 at Pleasant Hill, Braxton County, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoy Skinner.
She is survived by one son, William T. (Bill) Skinner and Carrie his wife of Buckhannon, one daughter, Wanda McClain and Jack her husband of Ireland, 2 grandchildren, Jackie Stewart and Buck her husband of Napier, WV, Keith McClain and Karen his wife of Ireland and 3 great grandchildren, Kristen McClain, Shae McClain and Alicia Brown. Also surviving is her brother Fenton Eugene Carter of Norfork, VA, 2 sisters in law, Marion Forinash of Ireland and Sylvia Skinner of Buckhannon. Shelva was the 19th Queen of the Irish Spring Festival in Ireland, a homemaker and attended the Ireland United Methodist Church.
Friends were received at the Alkire Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, where services were held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2009 with burial following in the McCutcheon Chapel Cemetery.

Floda Irene Hart White
Floda Irene Hart White , 99, of Perkins, Gilmer County, West Virginia, died March 15, 2009 at home surrounded by her family.
Floda was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Albert Ray White on April 2, 1990; and two grandchildren, Rodney Wayne (Jackie) Parsons and Virginia Lee White ; and 2 great grandchildren, Kara Delaine Brannon and Cullen Austin Marks.
She was the daughter of the late William and Mae Frame Hart. Floda was born September 18, 1909 and lived a full life in her 99 and half years.
She was a homemaker and the oldest member of the Crooked Fork Baptist Church, and mother to 12 children, nine girls and 3 boys, Treva (John) Berry of Sutton WV, Kenneth (Louise) White of Cedarville WV, Fay (Wilbur) Marks of Little Hocking OH, Wiladene (Nolan) Moyers of Frametown WV, June (Charles) Shaffer of Stow OH, Kay (Doug) Henline of Normantown WV, Nina (Gene) Stump of Flint MI, Dana (Caren) White of Normantown, Marjorie (Al) Born of Elyria OH, Austin (Gerry) White of Normantown, Connie (Gary) Gainer of Weston WV, and Joyce (Larry) Fisher of Perkins.
She was the beloved grandmother to 39 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19 at the Crooked Fork Baptist Church at Perkins. Elders George Rose, Roger Stewart and Austin White will officiate. Interment will be in

Mildred H. Carder
Mildred H. Carder, 79, of Gassaway WV, went quietly to eternal rest on March 15,2009 with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Carder; 2 daughters, Helen Schott, Charlotte NC and Cheryl Carder, Gassaway WV; 3 Grandchildren, Tom Schott and wife Teresa, Charleston WV, Amy Schott-Collins and husband Jim , Charlotte, NC , Molly Carder, Charlotte NC; 1 Great granddaughter, Peyton Riley Collins; 1 Sister, Sandra Duffield, Gassaway WV. She worked over 20 years with the late George T Hoylman, MD until his retirement, and then at Walkers Drug Store. She was a member of the Gassaway United Methodist Church, and a volunteer in her later years at Mountaineer Food Bank logging many hours of service. Mildred gave the greatest gift a person can give by donating her body to The Human Gift Registry of WVU for the advancement of medical education and research. At her request, there will not be a memorial service. John W “Wimpy” Skinner
Wimpy” Skinner, 90, of Orlando, WV passed away Wednesday March 18, 2009 at Braxton Health Care Center after a long illness.He was born on June 17, 1918 on Knolls creek (now Burnsville Lake) in Braxton County, a son of the late Okey Granville and Floata Mae McCauley Skinner.He was a farmer and worked for Owens Corning in Ohio and was a protestant. He was also a US Army Veteran during WW II.He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Junie Skinner.Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Stockert-Gibson-Sizemore Funeral Home in Flatwoods, WV with the Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Heaters, WV.Friends called from 1-4 pm Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.
Gloria Jean Kitts Gum
Gloria Jean Kitts Gum, of Sutton, WV died March 19, 2009 at her home. She was born December 20, 1946 in Sutton, WV, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Melba Green Kitts. Also preceding her in death were her brother Gary Keith Kitts; infant brothers Johnnie Homer & David Olen Kitts; and uncle, Olen Green.
She was a member of the Wayside Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Larry R. Gum; daughter Michelle Lea Johnson of Sutton; granddaughter Kylea Michelle Johnson; niece Stacey Leber & husband Eric; nephews Jonathan Keith Kitts & wife Angie & Daniel Jason Friend & wife Star; sister-in-law Brenda Friend & husband Dan; uncle Richard Green & wife Elizabeth; aunts Virginia Green & Virginia Keaton & her daughters Connie & Nancy and son Jerry Jackson; loving cousins Kathleen Hutchison, Joyce Sergent & Patricia VonIns; great nephews Hayden, Gavin, Oliver & Evan; great niece Annabelle; and a host of friends.

Hurshal K. Reaser
Hurshal K. (Shellbark) Reaser, age 96 of Burnsville departed this life at 10:00 p.m. on April 9, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born May 9, 1912 in Gilmer Co. a son of the late Samuel Warren and Margaret Virginia Griffith Reaser.
He was a member of the Cedarville Baptist Church, farmed on Dry Fork and then went to Ohio and worked in a flour mill and foundry. He returned to Dry Fork and farming. He also worked in the old glass factory in Glenville and the Royal Oil and Gas Company from which he retired. During his retirement he loved to fish, coon hunt and make his famous homemade wines.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Flora (Gregory) Reaser and 4 brothers: Monroe, Otto, John and Charlie.
He is survived by his second wife of 38 years, Fanny (Conley) Reaser of Burnsville. His daughter Betty Tustin of Middlebourne, WV and sister Geneva Rindfleisch of Elyria, OH, many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., at Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., Glenville with Rev. Tom Whaley officiating. Burial followed at the Cedarville Cemetery. Friends called 4-8 Monday, April 13 at the Mortuary.

Roy Gibson
Roy “Butch” Gibson, 62, of Herold Rt., Sutton, WV died April 11, 2009 at CAMC, Memorial Division, Charleston, WV. He was born December 27, 1946 in Sutton, WV a son of the late Julian and Mabel Young Gibson. Also preceding him in death were his son Todd Gibson and brother Paul Gibson.
He was a member of the Stump Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by 2 daughters Juli Gibson Burchett & husband Eric of Lincolnton, NC and Christina Gibson Craig and husband Jimmy of Sutton Lane; grandchildren Gunnar Burchett, Kayla Burchett, Todd Craig and Cameron Craig; Former Wife - Bobbie Barnette Gibson;
Brothers John Gibson and Samuel “Unk” Gibson of Herold and Michael Gibson; and sisters JoAnn Gawthrop of Gassaway and Christy Gibson of Clarksburg.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, WV with Pastor Eric Burchett officiating. Burial was in the Meadow Hill Cemetery, Tesla, WV. Friends called Monday from noon until service time.

Charles Clayton James
Charles Clayton James, 72, of Lorain, OH, son of the late Walter and Isabelle Ross-James died April 12, 2009 due to a heart attack following a short illness. Charles went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. He was born May 26, 1936 in Braxton County.
Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in Germany. He worked for the B& O Railroad and U.S. Steel and Penn Central R.R and was a Baptist.
Left behind are his beloved brothers and sisters: Joseph James of Salem, WV, Walter Jr. and Ruby James of Lorain, OH, Earl Hill, Russell Ford and Karen James of Sheffield Lake, OH, and Lois James-Jarvis and Gary Jarvis of Lorain, OH; Numerous nephews and nieces, and care providers, Douglas Meadows and David Deeds. .
He was preceded in death by sisters Doris James- Hill, Ruth James- Jones, and “Windy”, Alleen James- White and Gale, Irene James-Greenleaf and Russ, Mary James- Snyder and Woodrow, and, Freda Browning-James and Helen James, infant sister.
Graveside services were held on Thursday April 16th at 11 am with military Honors at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway, with Pastor Frank James officiating.

Dusty William Mohr
Dusty William Mohr, infant son of Adam and Julie Sattler Mohr of Normantown passed away April 12, 2009 at WVU Children’s Hospital, Morgantown.
In addition to his parents he is also survived by maternal grandparents, Pete and Judy Sattler of Chapel; paternal grandparents, Kenny and Pam Mohr of Chapel; paternal great grandparents, Harold and Geneveive Moore of Chapel and Meda Ruth Mohr of Chapel; several aunts and uncles.
Graveside service was 11 am Wednesday, April 15 at the Bender Run Cemetery, Chapel with Pastor Rick Hart officiating.
