WANDA A. CROSS
WESTOVER, W.Va. - Wanda A. Cross, 66, of 143 Marchand Drive, Westover, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at Sundale Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 14, 1931, in Keyser, a daughter of the late Carl D. and Uris Runion Broome.
She had been employed at the PHI Kappa PSI Fraternity at West Virginia University and was previously employed at Shepp's Grocery in Keyser. She was a member of the Westover United Methodist Church and the John L. Frazier VFW Post #9916 Ladies Auxiliary. During the '60s she was very active in the Wesmon Youth Leagues, the PTA groups and served as a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Cross; one son and spouse, Andy and Jennifer Doane Cross, Wheeling; two brothers, Howard Broome, Elkton, Va., and Bob Broome, Fountain; five sisters, Betty Bolyard, Keyser, Lillian Bolyard, McCoole, Md., Marlene Koontz, Keyser, Sue Rogers, Cumberland, Md., and Ethel Seibert, Hampton, Va.
Friends will be received at the William McCulla Funeral Home on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rick Sale officiating. Burial will follow at the West Virginia National cemetery at Pruntytown.

RONALD L. BURNS
TULSA, Okla. - Ronald Lee Burns, 45, of Tulsa, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, at Hillcrest Hospital, Tulsa.
Born April 16, 1952, in Huntington, W.Va., he was the son of Stanley Burns of Palermo, W.Va., and the late Reba Faye Kinsman, and the stepson of Charles Kinsman of Keyser, W.Va.
Mr. Burns was a graduate of the West Virginia School for the Blind, Romney, W.Va., where he had been valedictorian of his class.
He graduated from Zion Christian College, Grantsville, Md., where he became an ordained minister. He also earned an associate degree from Allegany Community College, Cumberland, Md.; a bachelor of science degree from Frostburg State University, Frostburg, Md.; and a paralegal degree from the University of Florida, where he graduated with a 3.8 average.
He had been employed with the Blind Industries in Cumberland for 14 years, and had made a bid for the position of mayor of Cumberland in 1992. He had moved to Oklahoma after graduating from the University of Florida.
Surviving in addition to his stepfather are his wife, Audrey (Carpenter) Burns; three sisters, Judy Thomas and husband Randy, Martinsburg, W.Va., Susie Umstot and husband Buster, and Jeanie Kesner and husband Jim, all of Keyser; one brother, Danny Burns, Short Gap, W.Va.; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Keyser Church of God, 277 W. Piedmont St., Keyser, on Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m.
EDITH BOSLEY
MAYSVILLE, W.Va. - Edith (Kimble) Bosley, 80, of Maysville, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born May 5, 1917, at Maysville, she was the daughter of the late Corbert L. Kimble and Lily (Powell) Kimble. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Reginald Kimble Sr. and Thomas Glenn Kimble; one sister, Mary Riggleman; and one stepsister, Gwendolyn Price.
Edith was Valedictorian of Petersburg High School Class of 1935. She attended Potomac State College and graduated from Fairmont State College in 1939. She taught school for 26 years in Grant County and five years in Mineral County. She was a member of Davis Baptist Church at Maysville. She served as secretary of the Grant County Public Library until her retirement in October 1991. She served as secretary of Maysville cemetery Inc. from 1967 to 1993. She was a member of the Grant County Association of Retired School Employees.
Surviving are her husband, William Gerald Bosley, whom she married
on April 12, 1941; one son, William Gerald Bosley Jr. and wife Patricia, Maysville; two grandchildren, Michelle Nesselrodt and husband Chuck, Laurel, Del., and Dr. William Gerald Bosley II and wife Dr. Emily, Clarksville, Tenn.; one great-grandson, Matthew William Nesselrodt; and one sister, Maxine Shanholtz, Annadale, Va.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Davis Baptist Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Donaldson and the Rev. Ann W. Harrison officiating.

WILLIAM L. BLYE
PIEDMONT, W.Va. - William L. Blye, 66, of East Harrison Street, Piedmont, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1998, at Potomac Valley Hospital.
He was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Hampshire, W.Va., and was the son of the late Elbert Stanley Blye and Alverdia (Miller) Blye. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley Albert Blye and James R. Blye; and one son, William L. Blye.
Mr. Blye was Protestant by faith.
Mr. Blye retired from the Purolator Courier as a driver in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna D. (Foote) Blye; one son, James S. Blye and wife, Cynthia, Cary, N.C.; one brother, Earl E. Blye and wife, Joan, New Creek, W.Va.; one sister, Dorotheymae Kyle, New Creek. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Daniel, Sean and April.
Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, on Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, 1998, with the Rev. G.A. Whitehurst officiating.
BEULAH CHAPLIN BAKER
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Beulah Chaplin Baker, 87, of Romney, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
She was born on Feb. 22, 1911, in Hampshire County, the daughter of the late Dallas F. and Willa Chelsea (High) Rogers. Also preceding her in death were her husband of 56 years, Edgar S. Baker, Feb. 3, 1985; one brother, Ralph Rogers; and a half-brother, LaVan Greenwalt.
She was a homemaker and a loving aunt.
Mrs. Baker was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are one niece, Jane R. Wolford, Cumberland; and one nephew, John Baker, Westminster, Md.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney.
Services will be conducted on Sunday, June 21, at 2 p.m. at the Shaffer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harley F. Baldwin officiating.
FRANK S. DAVY JR.
PURGITSVILLE, W.Va. - Frank Seymour Davy Jr., 76, of Purgitsville, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at the Long Term Care Unit, Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney.
He was born Nov. 19, 1921, at Junction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Frank Seymour and Sarah "Effie" (Mills) Davy Sr.; three brothers, James "Slim" Davy, Holland Davy and Lloyd Davy; one sister, Daisy Clites.
He retired from Southern States after 32 years of service.
Mr. Davy attended the Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Purgitsville.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Hampshire Post #91, Romney.
Surviving are his wife, Leota M. (Shoemaker) Davy; two daughters, Barbara J. DeLawder, Old Fields, Karen A. McDonald, Shanks; one sister, Mildred Bynum, Ypsilanti, Mich.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Mount Olive United Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Glen R. Hamrick officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
