JOSEPH E. HEDRICK
KEYSER, W.Va. - Joseph E. Hedrick, 59, of 92 Third St., Keyser, died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born on May 27, 1939, at Cumberland, Md., he was a son of the late Arlie A. and Frances Arnold (Shillingburg) Hedrick.
Mr. Hedrick was retired from the Celanese Amcelle Plant with 20 years of service as a pipefitter. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and attended the Lighthouse Church of God, Keyser.
Surviving are one sister, Wenonah Ruth Hedrick, Keyser, W.Va.; four cousins, Sherry Sanders, Cumberland, Tammy Leatherman and husband Jerry, Todd Leatherman and Jason Emry, all of Antioch, W.Va.; and two aunts, Myra Crowe and Sarah Kuh, both of Keyser, W.Va.
Friends may call at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Knotts officiating.
EVERETT C. JOHNSON
WILEY FORD, W.Va. - Everett Clayton Johnson, 76, of RFD #1, Box #53, Wiley Ford, died Monday, April 12, 1999, at the Kensington-Algonquin, Cumberland.
Born May 25, 1922, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late James R.C. Johnson and the late Eva M. (Leaman) Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, the late Patricia J. (Wertz) Johnson, on Nov. 19, 1981.
Mr. Johnson was a retired barber at 926 National Highway and the Sears Town Shopping Center. He was a member of the VFW in Ridgeley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II for four years.
Surviving are a daughter, Trish M. Wagoner and husband, Craig, Knoxville, Tenn.; a son, Jim C. Johnson and wife, Liz, Maryville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Brianna Johnson and Allison Wagoner, both of Knoxville; and a friend, Lillian E. Tyree, LaVale, Md.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fort Ashby cemetery with the Rev. Daniel Taylor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Western Maryland Health Systems, Hospice Home Care of Memorial, c/o Linda Valentine, 900 Seton Drive, Cumberland.

LOIS E. HERBAUGH
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - Lois Ellen (Liller) Herbaugh, 82, of Ridgeley, died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Dec. 6, 1916, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Clifton O. and Lula (Berry) Liller.
During World War II, Mrs. Herbaugh worked at the Cumberland Celanese Plant. She was retired from the Laundry Department at Sacred Heart Hospital. Prior to going to Sacred Heart, she had worked in the Laundry Department at Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Park Place United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Charles R. Herbaugh; two sons, Charles E. Herbaugh and wife Sue, Carpendale, and William G. Herbaugh and wife Cheryl, Cumberland; one sister, Eula Firlie, Cumberland; five grandchildren, Lory Van Meter, Charlie Herbaugh, Sam Herbaugh, J.R. Herbaugh, and Todd Herbaugh; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Lee Brotemarkle officiating.

LESTER E. JONES
HARTMANSVILLE, W.Va. - Lester Edward Jones, 87, of Hartmansville, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at the residence of his son, Eugene Jones.
Born July 22, 1912, at Maysville, he was the son of the late Jacob and Gracie (Hawk) Jones. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Sager) Jones; and a son, Samuel Jones.
Mr. Jones was a retired farmer and timberman. He attended the Emoryville Methodist Church, and was a member of the Woodmen of the World. He was a great outdoor sportsman, and a bear and elk hunter.
Surviving are three sons, Glenn Jones and Eugene Jones, both of Elk Garden; Kermit Jones of Mount Storm; two daughters, Wilma Reed and Velma Kifer, both of Elk Garden; two brothers Emmett Jones and Alvin J. Jones, both of Elk Garden; two sisters, Alma Weimer, Gorman, Md., and Anna Lahman, Springfield, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the home of Earl and Wilma Reed on U.S. Route 50, four miles east of Mount Storm, by the Jones and Reed Market, on Thursday and Friday.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the House of Prayer, Hartmansville, with the Rev. Glen Hamrick and the Rev. William Anderson officiating.

EMMETT J. HALTERMAN
MAYSVILLE, W.Va. - Emmett J. Halterman, age 85, of Water Street, Maysville, formerly of Moorefield, passed away Monday morning, June 7, 1999, at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
Born April 6, 1914, in Hardy County, he was a son of the late Jehu and Ersula (Simmons) Halterman.
Mr. Halterman was a retired farmer and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Rig. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Hartman) Halterman; one son; three brothers; and seven sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Emily (Shreve) Halterman; one daughter, Opal Nutt, Petersburg; two brothers, Roscoe Halterman, Huachua City, Ariz., Ferguson Halterman, Moorefield; four sisters, Josephine Bensenhaver, Rig, Wade Bean, Moorefield, Chloe Hawse, Moorefield, Elsie Chipley, Moorefield; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at the Fraley Funeral Home, Moorefield, with the Rev. Charles Snyder and the Rev. Raymond Cox officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fraley Funeral Home, at which time the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
JOHN F. HAMILTON
KEYSER, W.Va. - John F. Hamilton, 83, of 107 Spring St., Keyser, died Tuedsay, Jan. 12, 1999, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Oct. 3, 1915, in Rowlesburg, he was the son of the late James and Charity (Bell) Hamilton. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Hamilton was a retired B&O; Engineer. He was a member of the Keyser Presbyterian Church and the United Transportation Union. He served for four years in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Violet V. (Rogers) Hamilton; two sons, John F. Hamilton Jr., Germantown, Md., and Russell K. Hamilton, Keyser; one daughter, Sandra K. Davis, Imperio, Va.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen P. Fritz officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
