LUCY V. WRIGHT ABE
SARASOTA, Fla. - Lucy V. Wright Abe, 96, of Sarasota, died Friday, June 11, 1999, at Doctors Hospital, Sarasota.
Born on Sept. 9, 1902, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Mary E. Wright.
Mrs. Abe had been a resident of Sarasota since 1963, coming from Fort Ashby, W.Va. She was pre-deceased by her husband, the late Clarence R. Abe.
Mrs. Abe was a member of Old Furnace Church of the Brethren, Ridgeley, W.Va., leader of the First District of West Virginia Women's Work, Clerk, Secretary, Sunday School teacher, and Camp Leader, 4-H Leader, President of P.T.A., and Homemakers Club.
Mrs. Abe attended West Virginia University in Keyser, majoring in Domestic Science.
Mrs. Abe is survived by three daughters, Dimple Ward, Pittsford, N.Y., Esther Foltz, Inwood, W.Va., and Marion A. Morgan, Sarasota; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, 1999, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Toale Brothers Colonial Chapel, 40 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at 10 a.m. at First Brethren Church in Sarasota.
Burial will follow at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton, Fla.

NORRIS O. ALT
KEYSER, W.Va. - Norris O. Alt, 76, of Keyser, died at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, on Saturday, April 3, 1999.
Born March 15, 1923, in Petersburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Eugene R. and Odessa May (Judy) Alt.
Mr. Alt was a retired foreman from Westvaco. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption, Keyser, a member of Assumption Council 10545 Knights of Columbus, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Boyce-Houser Post 41 American Legion, and the Nancy Hanks VFW Post 3518.
Surviving are his wife, Helen E. (Cobb) Alt; two daughters, Joanne E. Stickley and husband Michael, and Sharon L. Alt, all of Keyser; five sons, Gary N. Alt and wife Frances, Keyser, Phillip J. Alt and wife Corine, Tifton, Ga., Dean R. Alt and wife Kathy, James A. Alt and wife Cynthia, and Martin H. Alt and wife Julie, all of Keyser; two sisters, Edna M. Sites and Mildred D. Bergdoll, both of Petersburg; four brothers, Grover M. Alt, Altoona, Pa., Eugene R. Alt, Texas, Dewey B. Alt, Hershey, Pa., and Samuel E. Alt, Keyser; and 13 grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, Keyser, on Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at 10 a.m. with Father Ivan M. Lebar, T.O.R., as celebrant. Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
GENEVIEVE L. COLLETT
ELKINS, W.Va. - Genevieve Lantz Collett, age 92 years, a former resident of 138 Delaware Ave., Elkins, and more recently a patient at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, Md., departed this life Friday, March 19, 1999, at the nursing home. She had been in declining health for the past 10 years.
She was born Nov. 27, 1906, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Berlin F. and Madge Gillispie Lantz.
On May 28, 1923, at Oakland, Md., she was married
to Willis Clare Collett Sr., who preceded her in death on July 24, 1989.
Surviving are two sons, Berlin Lantz Collett and his wife, Shirley, Keyser, Willis Clare Collett Jr. and his wife, Andrea, Doylestown, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. Louis 'Mary Jim' Kish, Lincoln, Del.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by one brother, Ward Lantz; and one sister, Georgia Inzatari.
She attended the schools of Randolph County, was employed as a sales clerk for the former Jack and Jill Shop. She was a homemaker and was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, the Elkins-Randolph County Senior Center, The Democratic Women's Club, the First Baptist Church, and she was an avid Bridge player.
Friends will be received at the First Baptist Church Parlor from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
On Friday morning, Mrs. Collett will be moved to the First Baptist Church Sanctuary where final rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Parli will officiate, and interment will follow at the Maplewood cemetery at Elkins.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to First Baptist Church Vision 2000, 412 Randolph Ave., Elkins, WV 26241.

BETTY L. BAKER
NEW CREEK, W.Va. - Betty Louise Baker, 22, of New Creek, W.Va., died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born June 23, 1976, at Cumberland, she was the daughter of John and Shirley (Wilt) Baker, New Creek.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hiram S. and Hilda (Divelbliss) Baker, and William Zedick and Lora Alice (Broadwater) Wilt.
Miss Baker formerly worked in Columbus, Ohio, as a certified nursing assistant. She was a 1994 graduate of Keyser High School and the Mineral County Vocational Technical Center.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Jay Baker, Petersburg, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Saturday, June 5, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, Westernport, on Sunday, June 6, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Goldizen and the Rev. Jerry Schloe officiating.
Interment will follow in Sinclair Memorial Gardens, Cross, W.Va.
EVA MAE CROUSE
ELK GARDEN, W.Va. - Eva Mae Crouse, age 73, of Elk Garden, passed away Friday, July 9, 1999, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Born Sept. 24, 1925, in Bayard, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Eva (Cornel) Michaels.
Eva Mae was a member of the Elk Garden Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Elwood Crouse; one daughter, Connie Paugh, Elk Garden; two brothers, Bill Michaels and Dewey Michaels, both of Elk Garden; one sister, Gladys Newhouse, Elk Garden; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The body is at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, Md., where friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Elk Garden Church of God with the Rev. Byron Mayberry officiating.
EVA M. COSNER
SHORT GAP, W.Va. - Eva Mae Cosner, 89, of Short Gap, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 1999, at her residence.
Born March 9, 1910, in Lahmansville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Cora (Bosley) Shrout. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, William A. Brown; and her second husband, Raymond Cosner.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Douglas Brown, Salt Lake City, Paul William Brown, Houston, and David Phillip Brown, Charleston, S.C.; two daughters, Pat Shank, LaVale, and Terri Renee Gough, Springfield, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren including Chris Brown Gough.
A graveside service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Merdith C. Shryock officiating.
