Edith Webb, 89, of Romney, WV went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, January 2, 2005 at the Hampshire Memorial Long Term Care Unit, surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of the late James and Nora (Patterson) Coleman, born September 17, 1915 in Grundy,Virginia.
In addition to her parents, her husband of forty-nine years, Elzie Webb, November 22, 1979; 2 sons, James Coleman Webb, at birth, March 12, 1932, Samuel Rayburn Webb, May 22, 1995; one daughter, Joann Marie Webb, March 8, 1984; one grandchild, Christina Marie Kesner, August 15, 1969 and one great grandchild, Jarrod Forrest Arnett at birth, October 2, 1990 also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Webb was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Romney Church of the Nazarene where she served as Sunday School Secretary and Treasurer for over fifteen years and was also a MWMS Missionary Leader and Sunday School Teacher. She was responsible for sending cards for all occasions to members of the church. This was a way she could serve God and serve others.
Surviving are one sister, Lily (Coleman) Peters of Fort Myers, FL; six sons, Hugh Hubert Webb and wife Marjorie of Fort Gay, WV, James Ervin Webb and wife Delores of Mansfield, OH, Teddy Vinton Webb of Martinsburg, WV, Larry Webb and wife Carol of Navarre, FL, Arlie Allan Webb and Wife Patricia of Romney, Steven Andrew Webb and wife Pamela of Romney; three daughters, Jeree Webb of Hendersonville, WV, Norena Webb Ramsburg of Berryville, VA, and Alta Mary Morris of Romney. In addition to her children, she was also blessed with 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at the Shaffer-Warnick Funeral Home in Romney on Tuesday, January 4, 2004, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
A service will be conducted at the Romney Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday, January 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron DiCiolla officiating where friends will be received at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to service.

JAMES DONALD 'DON' WOODSON
James Donald “Don” Woodson, 83, of Springfield, WV died Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, MD.
Son of the late Walter E. and Margaret (Krouse) Woodson, born April 18, 1921 in Springfield, WV.
In addition to his parents, a brother Walter Woodson preceded him in death.
Mr. Woodson was retired from Kelly Springfield with 25 years of service as an oiler in maintenance.
He attended the Springfield Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Clinton Lodge # 86 A.F. & A.M. in Romney.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Geraldine (Smith)Woodson of Springfield, WV; two sons, Robert E. Woodson and wife Myrna of Springfield and James R. Woodson and wife Jean of Springfield; one brother, Frank E. Woodson and wife Janet of Springfield; and four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
At the request of Mr. Woodson, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at the Shaffer-Warnick Funeral Home on Friday, January 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Norman Landis and Pastor Tom Gulbronson officiating.
A luncheon will be served immediately following the interment at the Springfield Assembly of God Church.

GRACE MARIE RAINES
Grace Marie Raines, 95 of Middletown, PA formerly of Hampshire County, WV died Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Frey Village in Middletown, PA.
She was born on November 29, 1909 in Charlottesville, VA, and was the daughter of the late Josh Marion and Sally B. (Dunn) Garrison.
In addition to her parents her husband, Andrew “Ted” Cecil Raines on May 30, 1981 also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Raines was a homemaker. She was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Hershey, PA.
She is survived by one son, Hubert Garrison of Highspire, PA; one step-son, Cecil Raines; one daughter, Syvellia Lehn of Awnville, PA; and one step-daughter, Rubbie Shelin.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer-Warnick Funeral Home on Friday, January 7, 2005 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be conducted at Ebenezer cemetery on Friday, January 7, 2005 at 2:15 p.m. with Dr. Roy Knight officiating.

RUBY ARLENE DOMAN
Ruby Arlene Doman, 70, of Romney, WV went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at 9:25 a.m. at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA after a brief battle with a sudden illness. Ruby displayed courage and dignity at her time of passing. She was surrounded by her daughter and other family members at the time of her death.
She was born July 24, 1934 in Romney, WV, the daughter of the late John E. and Clara (Shockey) Hott.
In addition to her parents her husband, Ray Franklin Doman on April 11, 2001 preceded her in death.
Mrs. Doman was a homemaker and the secretary of The Hampshire County Farm Bureau. She was a member of the Romney Presbyterian Church and a 1953 graduate of Romney High School.
She is survived by one daughter, Diana K. Doman of Romney; two brothers, John W. Hott of Romney and Charles “Peachy” Hott of Green Spring, WV; two sisters, Juanita M. Baize of Romney and Louise R. Doman of Romney; several nieces and nephews and her special friend, her dog, Sable

George Oliver Cousins, 62, of Shanks, WV died Saturday, January 15, 2005 at his residence.
Born January 28, 1942 in Harrisonburg, VA. He was the son of the late Gilson and Viola (Donivan) Cousins.
Mr. Cousins was a shipping clerk with Standard Distilleries.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Cousins of Baltimore, MD and George Cousins, Jr. of Augusta, WV; two daughters, Patty Cousins of Shanks, WV and Cindy Ireland of Baltimore, MD; three brothers, Thomas Cousins of Shanks, WV, Robert Cousins of Delray, WV and Gil Cousins of Pennsylvania; one sister, Juanita Brougham of Baltimore, MD; and seven grandchildren.

Edith Irene Jones, 92, of Keyser, WV formerly of Green Spring, WV died Sunday, January 23, 2005 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, WV.
She was the daughter of the late Penton and Sarah Jane (Roberson) Kerns, born July 8, 1912 in Green Spring, WV.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Winter L. Jones; son, Robert L. Jones; two grandsons, Terry R. Jones and John Ray Jones; great granddaughter, Kaylea Jones; five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of the Forest Glen United Methodist Church in Green Spring, WV.
She is survived by two sons, Ray R. Jones of Green Spring, WV and Roy L. Jones of Oldtown, MD; one brother, Dennis F. Kerns of Green Spring, WV; ten grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

JAMES JOSEPH ROWAN
James Joseph Rowan, 82, of Lonaconing, MD formerly of Cumberland, MD died Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center in Lonaconing, MD.
He was the s on of the late Winifred J. and Nina (Sluss) Rowan, born January 1, 1923 in Mt. Savage, MD.
In addition to his parents his wife, Anna Lee (Robertson) Rowan, preceded him in death on August 6, 1998. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Winifred Rowan and William Rowan; five sisters, Edith Emerick, Evelyn Bradburn, LaVerne Kirkwood, Betty Spataro and Rose Marie Grove.
"Jim" retired from Mead-Westvavo in 1987 after forty-five years of service as a Paper Inspector in Quality Control. He was veteran of the U.S Army having served during WWII.
He was a member of St. Mary's of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Lonaconing, MD and a former member of the Goodwill Volunteer Fire Co. in Lonaconing, MD and the Lonaconing Republican Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Katherine Ann James and husband, Steve of Westernport, MD; one sister, Dorothy Lashbaugh of Lonaconing, MD; one grandson, Patrick James and Gretchen of Satellite Beach, FL; two great-granddaughters, Kelsey James and Molly James of Bealeton, VA and one great-grandson, Nathaniel James of Satellite Beach, FL.
Friends and family will be received at St. Mary's of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Lonaconing, MD on Saturday, January 29, 2005, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Lonaconing on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. following the visitation.

Vicki Jo Ickes, 42, of New Port Richey, FL formerly of Hampshire County, WV died Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center in Bayonet Point, FL.
She was the daughter of Jo Ann Ginevan Morse of Shanks,WV and Ian Victor Ickes of Virginia, born April 27, 1962 in Washington, DC.
Her Grandparents, Opal and Frank Ginevan of Levels, WV preceded her in death.
Vicki was of the protestant faith and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, one son, Robert Alan Wills and wife, Sarah; two daughters, Rebecca Lynn Wills and Nicole Elizabeth Wills; and one granddaughter, Karyssa Autumn Wills, all of Glen Burnie, MD survive her. She was married
to Lewis Wills, Jr. also of Glen Burnie, MD.
Vicki was cremated as per her request. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the Shaffer-Warnick Funeral Home in Romney, WV with Pastor Don Kesner officiating where friends and family will be recived at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.

Dorothy Elizabeth Nixon, 75, of Green Spring, WV died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney, WV.
She was born October 10, 1929 in Green Spring, WV and was the daughter of the late Alston and Della (Dayton) Davidson.
In addition to her parents, a daughter, Deborah Nixon on December 20, 2004; three brothers, Edward Davidson, William Luther Davidson and Lester Davidson and two sisters, Katherine Whetzel and Shelby Jones preceded her in death.
Mrs. Nixon was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert S. Nixon of Green Spring, WV; three sons, Robert "Pete" R. Nixon of Springfield, WV, Philip E. Nixon of Green Spring, WV and Daniel B. Nixon of Sandusky, OH; one daughter Dixie L. Maphis of Kemblesville, PA; two brothers, James "Tom" Davidson of Fremont, OH and Ralph "Sam" Davidson of Fremont, OH; five sisters, Julia Davidson of Washington, DC, Margaret Powell of Antwerp, NY, Anna Phillips of Crofton, MD, Rosalie Riggs of Manassas, VA and Mary Ann Close of Odenton, MD; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
