Edith Blankenship, 80, of Isaban, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2008, from her residence.
Born on November 26, 1927, at Isaban, she was the loving daughter of the late Jerry and Littie (Fuller) Griffey.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Blankenship; a son, Billy Blankenship; three sisters: Elizibeth Morgan, Goldie Trent, and Earsey Griffey; and a brother, Luther Griffey.
Edith was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends called at the Isaban Church of God at Isaban on Thursday, November 27th from 6 to 9 pm.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 28th at the Isaban Church of God with the Rev. Lawrence Cantrell officiating. Burial followed in the Brushy Fork cemetery at Isaban.
Pallbearers were: Billy Justice, Randy Goodman, Adam Hardin, Edgar Hardin, Bobby Coleman, Johnny Ray Lester, and Ralph Blankenship.
Abby Browning, God's precious angel, went back to her Heavenly Father on November 17, 2008, from Williamson Memorial Hospital at Williamson.
Born on November 17, 2008, at Williamson Memorial Hospital, she was the precious daughter of Kevin and Amy (Marcum) Browning of Wharncliffe.
Preceding her in death are her paternal great grandfathers: Donald Spence and Arnold Browning.

Sandra Lynn Amburgey, 45, of Hampden, departed this life on Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.
Born on September 8, 1963, at Iaeger, she was the beloved daughter of Florence (Steele) Bryant and the late Robert Bryant.
Sandra was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a homemaker and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Eliza Elva Davis Lyall, of Hanover, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 29, 2008, from Welch Community Hospital at Welch, following a short illness.
Born on March 2, 1925 at North Spring she was the beloved daughter of the late Lee and Callie (Lambert) Davis.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Bernice Collins; her brothers: Blaine and George Davis; her sisters: Annie Elenor Davis, Nellie Steiner, and Edith Riffe.
Eliza was a loving daughter, wife, mother, step mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a retired factory worker with Xerox Corporation in Rochester, NY. She was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church at Iaeger. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Billy Gene Cook, 62, of Justice, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, from his residence.
Born on April 10, 1946, at Tamcliffe, he was the beloved son of the late William Howard and Flossie Virginia (Justice) Cook.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his wife, Telisha Ann (Shupe) Cook; two brothers: Wallace Edward and Benny Ray Cook; and two sisters: Bobbie Addington and Betty Sue Kleingbald.
Billy was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a disabled coal miner employed by Massey. He was a US Air Force Veteran, and a member of the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Betty Jo Kenneda Blankenship, 74, of Simon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, from Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, at Charleston, WV.
Born on September 13, 1934, she was the beloved daughter of the late Kirt and Sara (Cline) Kenneda.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Levi Arnold Blankenship; one son, Leman Blankenship; one son-in-law, Marvin Bradford, Sr.; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Gay Blankenship; five brothers: Landon, Arson, Ulin, Arlin, and Willie Kenneda; and three sisters: Lila Mae Brooks, Elouis Conn, and Janice Lawrence.
Betty was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a homemaker and a member of the Long Branch Freewill Baptist Church. She loved and was devoted to the Long Branch Freewill Baptist Church Ladies Aid serving as their president. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary Ethel (Wilson) Fortner, 81, of Verner, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, December 5, 2008, from Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, at Charleston WV.
Born on March 26, 1927, at Justice, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Bob and Sadie (Morgan) Wilson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her loving husband of 59 years, Rev. Clarence Fortner; two children: Wendell 'Chuck' and Margaret Fortner; one grandson, Brandon Tommy Fortner, one granddaughter-in-law, Angie Walls Darnell; one great granddaughter, Logan Darnell; four brothers: Curtis Lilly, Hestel and Gerl Wilson, and Earl Smith; and three sisters: Madeline Yateman, Bobbie Walls, and Wanda Hoosier.
