Rev. Larry Warren Perry, Sr., 65, of Wyoming, formerly of Justice, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 25, 2008, from Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division.
Born on July 7, 1942 at Justice he was the son of the late Warren and Etta (Lester) Perry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: one son, Timothy Ray Perry; one sister, Essie Lambert; and one brother, James L. Perry.
Larry was a retired coal miner and a retired school custodian. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

(Tammy) Perry, Jr., of Newport News VA; his two grandsons: Brian Warren and Timothy Ray Perry of Newport News VA; his five sisters: Lila Ellis, Erma (Bill) Gadd, and Diana (Ken) Williams, all of Thomasville GA, Flo (Michael) Berry of Concord VA, and Judy (Edward) Watts of Justice; his three brothers: Rev. Mason (Brenda) Perry of Justice, Jerry (Ruth) Perry of Kistler, and Sidney G. Perry of Orlando FL; his step-son, Bill (Lori) Compton of Wyoming; his step-daughter, Tamera Compton Kinser of McGraw; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home in Gilbert on Wednesday, May 28th from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 29th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Lester and the Rev. Silas Mullens, Sr., officiating. Burial followed in the Davis cemetery at Justice. Don Kennedy, Jr., 52, of Oceana went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2008 from his residence.
He was born on January 10, 1956 at Welch to Tressie (Lester) Kennedy and the late Don Kennedy. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two sisters: Jacqueline and Darlene Kennedy; and a brother, Keith Allison Kennedy.
Don was a sawmill worker and a member of the Upper Room Jesus Name Church at Simon.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Don are: his mother, Tressie Kennedy of Oceana; his two daughters: Beverly Kennedy of Baisden, and Violet Kennedy of Oceana; his son, Donald Kennedy of Long Branch; his three grandchildren: Summer Lawrence, Desirae Kennedy and Zachery Manuel; his three sisters: Nadean Cline of Oceana, Carolyn (Ernest) Cline of North Carolina, and Dee (Homer) Hatfield of Oceana; his two brothers: Kevin Kennedy of Oceana and Timothy Kennedy and companion, Cindy Blankenship of Kopperston; and a host of family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Kennis P. Cline, 80, of Hanover went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, May 22, 2008 from his residence.
Born on September 23, 1927, he was the son of the late Edd and Corby (Justice) Cline.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: one brother, Woodrow Cline and five sisters: Evalene Hatfield, Armedia Vinson, Elizabeth Thompson, Roxie Huff, and Hattie Mitchell.
Kennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a retired timber man, farmer, and a member of the Rockhouse Community Church.

Eugene Fields Brown, 67, Wharncliffe, WV departed his earthly body to be with his Father, May 17, 2008 at 1:30 a.m. in the Pikeville Methodist Hospital, Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born June 11, 1940 to Eugene and Alma (Wooten) Brown at Welch, WV, he would later come to dedicate 49 loving years to his wife, Janice Hatfield, her family, his children, grandchildren and a host of many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an only brother, Frank. Being a member of the Pentecostal Church of God, he held strong to his faith and love for God.
A prominent businessman having interests in various companies in and around Mingo County his most recent being Fielding Hydroseeding. An avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing and hunting, he was best known by his friends for his ability and love for a good game of golf.
He will long be remembered for his generosity, love, kindness, and great sense of humor as he opened his heart and home to so many others throughout his life.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Janice are: Edward and children Justin and Miller, Wharncliffe; Warren (Victoria) and son Madison, Baisden; Samantha (Chuck) Waine and children Josh, Carlee and Chaz, Delbarton; Jennifer (Greg) Surber and children Cassie and Nathan; and Godchildren Keith (Stephanie) Dotson, Natasha (Mikey) Vines, Gilbert and Andrew Fields Mudd, Wharncliffe.
The family received friends and condolences beginning at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 21 at the Ben Creek Church of Christ, Wharncliffe. An eulogy to his life was conducted at the church at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22 by Reverend Carl (Cab) Wolford. Commitment of his body followed at the Rose Lawn cemetery, Princeton, WV.

Georgia D. Keene, 58, of Kistler departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2008, at Logan Regional Medical Center, following a lingering illness and a broken heart.
Born on February 26, 1950 at Panther, she was the daughter of the late Sampy and Elizabeth P. (Goodman) Keene.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: four brothers: Johnny, Gary, Ricky, and Greg Keene; and a sister, Jessie Keene.
Georgia was a loving sister, friend, and a member of the Jesus Faith Church.

Douglas 'Doug' Davis, 71, of North Spring, departed this life on Saturday, May 17, 2008, from Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley WV.
Born on January 19, 1937 at North Spring, he was the son of the late Arlie Freeland 'Buck' and Belva (Justice) Davis.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Allen; a step-son, Rickey Clell Allen; one sister, Edna Hatfield; and a brother, Clete Davis.
Doug was of the Church of Christ faith, a truck driver, hauling both coal and timber, and a veteran of the US Air Force.

Roger Toler, 54, of Accoville, departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2008, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.
Born on April 14, 1954 at Man, he was the son of the late William Milton 'Bill' and Lula (Hatfield) Toler.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: three brothers: Ballard, Larry Gene, and Jerry Toler; and one sister, Christine 'Anne Gene' Vance.
Roger was a disabled coal miner and attended the Crown Greater Vision Church. Roger enjoyed Nascar, sports, spending time with his family and children, fishing, and being outdoors.

Mary Lou Bobbera 87 of Gilbert departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Holston Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.
Born on January 3, 1921 at Gilbert, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Martha (Musick) Ellis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis 'Louie' Bobbera; her son, Jan Lee Bobbera; her brother, Fred Ellis; and her brother-in-law, Jim Bevins.
Mary Lou was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a teacher and guidance counselor for the Mingo County School System and a member of the Gilbert Presbyterian Church. She and her husband 'Louie' owned and operated the Gilbert Exxon Station for 36 years.
