Mary F. Williams
Mary F. Williams, age 76, of Elkhart, IN died Friday, August 8, 2008 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart. She was born April 2, 1932 in Clendin, WV, a daughter of the late Rev. Leslie and Ethel Short Chipps. On September 17, 1948 she married Edward Ray Williams who preceded her in death on November 17, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry R. and David G. Williams and four brothers, James, William, Harold and Junior Chipps. She is survived by two daughters, Rose Watson and husband Thomas of Elkhart and Barbara Homewood and husband Robert of Elkhart; three sons, Allen Williams and wife Charlene of Elkhart, Jerry Williams of Elkhart and Rev. Michael Williams and wife Sherry of Princeton, WV; three sisters, Thelma Sothen of Newark, OH, Louise Nottingham of Buckhannon, WV and Betty Anglin of Buckhannon; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren. Mary was the former owner and operator of restaurants in Oklahoma for many years. She was a member of the Mt. Nebo Church in Buckhannon. Mary loved to travel, but her passion was Gospel Music. Mary traveled to participate and attend shows throughout the country. Friends will be received Friday, August 15, 2008 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Nebo Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of ones choice. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Maxwell Conard St. Clair
Maxwell Conard St. Clair, age 94, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his home. He was born January 19, 1920 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Millard Filmore and Stella Poling St. Clair. On November 6, 1943 he married Irma Nancy Roberson St. Clair who preceded him in death on April 14, 1984. In addition to his parents and 1st wife he was preceded in death by his 2nd wife, Mollie Cooper Culp St. Clair; infant daughter, Diane Pamela St. Clair; two brothers, Francis B. St. Clair and Lawrence St. Clair; one sister, Grace St. Clair Forinash and infant twin granddaughters, Brooke and Marie Straight. He is survived by two daughters, Ris Segur and husband Dennis of The Villages, FL and Denise Straight and husband Steve of Buckhannon; one son, Jeffrey St. Clair and wife Kathy of Buckhannon; one grandson, Doug Straight and wife Tisha of El Dorado Hills, CA; three granddaughters, Ris Straight Hanifan and husband Shawn of Buckhannon, Sarah Kathryn St. Clair of Baltimore, MD and Kimberly Dawn Cabrera and husband Codi of Buckhannon; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Dawn Straight of El Dorado Hills and three great-grandsons, Tucker Maxwell and Holden Alexander Cabrera and Baby Hanifan all of Buckhannon. Mr. St. Clair was the Owner and Operator of the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home and was a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1941. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Buckhannon. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was also a member of the Franklin Lodge # 7 A.F. & A.M., Osiris Shriners, 32nd Degree Mason and a member of The Scottish Rite, Buckhannon Lions Club, Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Barlett Post # 7 American Legion and The Knights of Pythias. The family wishes to express a special thanks to his caregivers. Friends will be received Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald M. McCauley and the Rev. Steven Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Nancy D. Tenney
Nancy D. Tenney, age 45, of Queens, WV died Friday, June 11, 2010 at her home. She was born August 6, 1964 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of Teddy Ray and Marlene Westfall Wagoner of Tallmansville, WV. On May 19, 1984 she married John Rusty Tenney who survives. Also surviving are one son, Brent Tenney and companion Reva of Queens; one daughter, Clefta Tenney of Queens; one grandson, Clay Tenney of Queens; four brothers, Teddy Butch Wagoner and wife Connie of Ten Mile, WV, Douglas Wagoner and wife Brenda of Tallmansville, WV, Kenneth Wagoner and wife Beck of Hampton, WV and Sam Wagoner and wife Kay of Ivy, WV; two sisters, Tammy Cutright and husband Larry of Buckhannon and Devonna Butler and husband Rodney of Kesling Mill, WV; several nieces and nephews and in her heart one daughter, Marie Koon of Buckhannon. She was preceded in death by nephews, Kevin and Kaleb Wagoner. Nancy was a homemaker and a member of the Queens Historical Society. Friends will be received Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery in Queens. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Climmer Suder
Climmer Suder, age 102, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born August 21, 1912 in Swamp Run, WV, a son of the late Lyda and Stata Pearl Suder. On August 25, 1994 he married Loretta L. Carpenter who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Michele Cuevas and one sister Martie Nuzum. Surviving are two sons, Arnold Suder and wife Deloris of Grafton, WV and Climmer Suder, Jr.; three daughters, Stata Mae Krial of Paynesville, OH, Gail Davis of Buckhannon and Sara Lea Miller of Thomas, WV; three step daughters, Evelina Davidson of New Brighton, PA, Rela Martin of Heath, OH and Joybell Walton of French Creek, WV and one sister, Mary Carr. Mr. Suder was a mechanic for Artim Transportation and a member of the Rock Cave Baptist Church. Friends will be received Sunday March 8, 2015 from 11AM-2PM, the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery in Rock Cave. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas Jerry Streets, Sr.
Thomas Jerry Streets, Sr., age 74, of French Creek, WV died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his home. He was born April 22, 1941 in Arden, WV, a son of the late Thomas and Idella Tenney Streets. In January 1966 he married Linda Acker who survives. Also surviving are one son, Martin Streets of Circleville, OH; two daughters, Terri Hanline and husband Lewis of Alexander, WV and Traci McCartney and husband Isaac of Crawford, WV; one granddaughter, Jessica Streets of Huntington, WV; one grandson, Isaac McCartney II of Crawford; one great-granddaughter, Riley Mancuso of Huntington and two sisters, Denise Miller of Central City, KY and Melody Warner of French Creek. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Streets. Mr. Streets served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a lifetime member of the French Creek Chapter #36 D.A.V. George R. Thorn
George R. Thorn, age 83 of Tallmansville, WV went to be with the Lord Monday, July 30, 2007 at the United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, WV. He was born on July 4, 1924 at Galloway, WV a son of the late Ray and Euphemia (McCullough) Thorn. On May 28, 1949 he married Texie Maxine Koon who survives. Also surviving is one son, Eugene Thorn and wife Sandra of Simon, WV; two sisters, Betty Harvey of Queens, WV, and Bonnie Calvert of Warren, OH; 24 nieces and nephews and many precious friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Thorne. Mr. Thorn was a member of the Queens United Methodist Church and was a steel worker. He served in WWII with the US Army 125th anti aircraft artillery gun battalion, served as a defender of the English Channel and the battle of the bulge and as an MP. He was a member of the Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Color Guard, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, served 17 years on the board of the Tallmansville Volunteer Fire Department, life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a leather craftsman, enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Wednesday, August 1, 2007 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Catalano officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7, DAV Chapters # 5 and # 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Barry J. Williams
Barry J. Williams, age 42, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at his home. He was born May 31, 1966 in Upshur County, WV, a son of Doris Westfall Williams of Buckhannon and the late Harvey Williams. On February 3, 1990 he married Christina K. Haymond who survives. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by one son, Jacob Williams of Buckhannon; one daughter, Casey Williams of Buckhannon; one brother, Stephen Williams and wife Lisa of Buckhannon; four nieces, Sierra Wood of Moundsville, WV, Jalissa Williams of Buckhannon, Kayla and Reagan Knabenshue both of Buckhannon and one nephew, Shawn Williams of Buckhannon. Barry was a manager for Alcon and attended the Horizons Church. Memorial services will be held 6 PM Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Horizons Church with Pastor Dave Cunningham officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

William 'Bill' Sharps Swecker
William 'Bill' Sharps Swecker, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born January 3, 1927 in Adrian, WV, a son of the late Walter Kyle and Dessie Sharps Swecker. On December 24, 1948 he married Iris Mae Wimer who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Renee Starkey and husband Robert E. of Bridgeport, WV; three granddaughters, Heather Lynn Bartlett and husband Eric of Wilsonburg, WV, Holly Beth Lake and husband Andy of Mountville, PA and Jennifer Renee Reed and husband Steve of Bridgeport; two great-grandsons, Brycen Lake of Mountville and Cody Bartlett of Wilsonburg; three great-granddaughters, Macey Lake of Mountville, Allyson Bartlett of Wilsonburg and Kaylee Reed of Bridgeport; one brother, Robert Swecker of Akron, OH; one sister-in-law, Arlene Swecker of MN and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Swecker and a sister-in-law, Mary Swecker. Mr. Swecker served in the US Army as a Military Policeman during WWII. Bill was a member of the French Creek United Methodist Church, the Franklin Lodge #7 A.F. & A.M., Osiris Shriners of Wheeling, The Scottish Rite of Clarksburg, the Buckhannon Eastern Star Chapter #18, the Upshur County Shrine Club and a former member of the NCT Camping Club. Bill was one of the founders of the Triple T Camping Club. Friends will be received Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Killingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. The Franklin Lodge #7 A.F. & A.M. will perform masonic rites and the Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Erie, PA. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Irene Morris (Davidson) Tracy
Irene Morris (Davidson) Tracy, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. She was born July 30, 1923 in Gaines, WV, a daughter of the late Okey Thomas and Nora Susan (Morris) Davidson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers; Charles Curge, Ronald, Darrol, Larry and Nelson Davidson and two sisters, Betty (Davidson) Gum and Ethel Davidson. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Lockwood and husband John of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Jennifer Wentz and husband Derek and Jamella Shackleford and husband Lee all of Buckhannon ;two grandsons, J.B. Lockwood, II and Ryan Lockwood both of Buckhannon; great grandchildren, Jonathan and Alexis McDaniels, Nora Wentz, Rosaline and Tr Shackleford and Parker Lockwood all of Buckhannon; one sister, Inzie (Davidson) Pisarski of Baden, PA. ; several nieces and nephews and Idget. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon from 1956 until 1988 with 28 of those years in the nursery. She attended Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Buckhannon with the funeral services to follow at 2:00 with Dr. Joseph M. Shreve officiating. Burial will follow at the Lockwood Family Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV. Poling St.Clair Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Clifton Carroll 'Butch' Starkey, Jr.
Clifton Carroll 'Butch' Starkey, Jr., age 68, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born March 30, 1947 in Hampton, WV, a son of the late Clifton and Josephine Sutton Starkey. On February 15, 1986 he married Bonnie McCauley who survives. Also surviving are his step mother, Mamie Starkey, son, Brian W. Starkey and wife Florence of Buckhannon; one daughter, Lori L. Starkey and fianc, Chad Casto of OH; one step son, Wesley Marsh and wife Donna of Buckhannon; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Tip Starkey and wife Debbie of Buckhannon; four sisters, Carol Jo Starkey of Charleston, WV, Tammy Trump and husband Jeff of South Charleston, WV, Letetia Tish Jackson and husband Tinker of Volga, WV and Tracy Burnside and husband Karl of Hickory Flat, WV and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Joe Starkey; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Mr. Starkey served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a Brick Layer for Corhart Refractories and a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church. Friends will be received Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday, September 28, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Vernon Sears officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, WV. Mary L. Wiseman
Mary L. Wiseman, age 79 of Buckhannon, WV passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born on January 29, 1929 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Edward J. and Madge Sapp Kuhn. She is survived by her husband of 61 years James J. Wiseman whom she married on September 14, 1947. Also surviving are two daughters, Doretta J. Plymale, and Patricia S. Hewitt and husband Larry both of Buckhannon; four grandsons, Richard Paul Malcolm, II, Bernard Cox, Jr. Michael Plymale all of Buckhannon, and James Plymale of Bridgeport, WV, one granddaughter, Kathy S. Rolenson and husband Joseph of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Logan P. Rolenson; one brother Charles Ray Kuhn of Grafton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, James Ray Wiseman, one brother Edward J. Kuhn, Jr., one sister Virginia Kuhn and one half brother Glenn Sapp. Mrs. Wiseman was a homemaker who cherished her family. She was a Christian and a member of the Buckhannon Church of Christ. She was an active leader in the community and had held all offices of the Heavner Grove CEOS. Friends will be received Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday at the funeral home with the Evangelist Darrell Toothman officiating. Burial will follow at the Grafton National Cemetery in Grafton, WV.
