Lemoyne L. Roth
Lemoyne L. Roth, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, December 29, 2008 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. She was born July 18, 1929 in Harrison County, WV, a daughter of the late Edwin Dolph and Sarah Alma Wentz Dawson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Roth; one grandson, Andrew Roth; one brother, Dolph Dawson and one sister, Wilda Thornhill. She is survived by two sons, Ron Roth and wife Connie and Neil Roth and wife Susan all of Buckhannon; one grandson, Ronald Pete Roth, II of Charleston, WV; two great-grandsons, Nathan Conner Roth and Jacob Ryan Roth both of Charleston and a brother in law, Kenneth Thornhill of Buckhannon. Mrs. Roth was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Friday, January 2, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Adrian Keith Rogers
Adrian Keith Rogers, age 20, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Cumberland, MD. He was born on July 13, 1988 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of Keith and Connie Dunlap Rogers of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother Billy Joe Dunlap of McDonald, OH; maternal grandmother, Betty Dunlap of McDonald; special aunt and uncle, George and June McCoy of Weston, WV; aunt and uncle, Randall and Gayle McCoy of Minnetonka, MN and uncle, Michael Dunlap of McDonald. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wayne Dunlap and paternal grandparents Ebbert and Fern Rogers. Adrian was a sophomore at WVU a student of International Studies. He was a member of the Way of Holiness Church. A private family service will be held. Poling-St Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Sarah Evelyn Rusmisell
Sarah Evelyn Rusmisell, 78, of Buckhannon, beloved mother and grandmother, passed from this life on July 3, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. Sarah was under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice following an extended stay at Serenity Care Assisted Living in Buckhannon.
Sarah was born August 4, 1930, in Windber, PA, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Hoffman) Meek.
Sarah made Buckhannon her home in 1952, following her graduation from West Virginia Wesleyan and her marriage to Fred, who predeceased her in 1997. Sarah earned her degree in Home Economics from Wesleyan, but after several years as a homemaker, she started a career as a social worker for the WV Department of Human Services. She retired after 25 years and then worked as a substitute teacher for Upshur County Schools.
Sarah was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Upshur County Democratic Women's Club, the Emeritus Club of Wesleyan College, and Literacy Volunteers. She was a member of a Senior Aerobics class that gave her much enjoyment and remained active with her college sorority at Wesleyan, Alpha Delta Pi, and her fellow retirees from the DHHR.
Sarah is survived by her son, Fred of Buckhannon and her daughter, Sarah Jane Slaughter and her husband, Alan of Parkersburg; two grandsons, Barrett of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Cam of Santa Monica, CA; brother Orrin, married to Carol (Pfhaler) of Johnstown, PA, sister in laws, Mary (Helman), widow of Marlin; Marian (Wirick), widow of Albert, both of New Port Richey, FL; Eunice (Beckley) Smith, widow of Edgar, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Fred H. Rusmisell, II; brothers, Barrett, Camden, Edgar, Marlin, Albert, and William; and sister, Mary, widow of Alonzo Seese.
Friends will be received Monday, July 6, 2009, from 5 8 PM at the Poling St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 7, at the funeral home with the Reverend Dr. Damon Rhodes. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery.

Joseph Paul Rosencrance
Joseph Paul Rosencrance, age 23 of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Buckhannon. He was born March 5, 1986 a son of Ray and Mary Stackpole Rosencrance of Buckhannon who survive . On April 21, 2007, he married Danielle Young who survives. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Josie Lynn and Aline Page Rosencrance and one step daughter, Destiny Amber Chidester all of Buckhannon. He is also survived by six brothers; Randy Davis and wife Kelley of Homestead, Florida, Ray Rosencrance and friend Megan Bennett of Buckhannon, Chris Rosencrance of Buckhannon, Scotty Rosencrance and wife Tara of Hico, WV, Cody Rosencrance and Brandon Rosencrance of Buckhannon. Mr. Rosencrance was employed at Wendlings Food Service. Friends will be received Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 2-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at The Horizons Church in Buckhannon where he will lie in state fro 2-3 PM the funeral hour with Pastor David Cunningham officiating. Homer Gerald Rohr, Jr.
Homer Gerald Rohr, Jr., age 63, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at his home. He was born December 17, 1946 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Homer Gerald Rohr and Lou Vale Tenney Miller. He is survived by one sister, Linda Marteney of Buckhannon and one brother, Michal Rohr of Headland, AL. Mr. Rohr was a truck driver for Dart Transit. Private graveside services were held 11 AM on Wednesday at the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Rev. Ressie Pearl Robison
Ressie Pearl Robison, age 86, of Heaters, WV went home to be with her Lord on May 10, 2010. She was born May 1, 1924 in Buckhannon, WV a daughter of the late Loy and Susie Dean Westfall. She is survived by her very special and dear friend Wilma Jackson and also several nieces and nephews. On May 23, 1948 she married Rev. Robert (Bob) W. Robison who preceded her in death on June 4, 1993. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded her in death by four brothers, Hobert, Freeman, Clyde and Edward Westfall and two nephews, Billy and Gary Westfall. Ressie has preached the Gospel for several years and has enjoyed teaching and serving the Lord. She was Director of Wings of Faith for 17 years where she and Bob had served a combined 41 years. She was also the Pastor of the Point Pleasant Chapel at Abbott, WV and was an Evangelist. Ressie was a member of the United Methodist Church at Naiper, WV and the Braxton County Ministerial Association. In her earlier life she had been an assistant teacher. Friends will be received Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 2 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. The funeral service will be 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Thomas Riffle
Gary Thomas Riffle, age 56, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, September 13, 2010 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born July 30, 1954 in Weston, WV, a son of the late Ezkiel and Laura Curtis Riffle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Riffle. He is survived by his girl friend, Darlene Bender of Buckhannon; one son, Gregory Riffle of Buckhannon; one grandson, Gregory Scott Porky Riffle, Jr. of Buckhannon; ex-wife, Wilma Riffle of Buckhannon; four brothers, Delmas Riffle and wife Pat of Wisconsin, Joseph Riffle and wife Linda of Roanoke, WV, Arnett Riffle and wife Evelyn of Crawford, WV and John Riffle of Weston, WV and three sisters, Evelyn Sealie, Velma Davisson and husband Harvey all of Weston and Debbie Jones and husband Chris of McClure, OH. Mr. Riffle was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator for WV Dept. of Highways. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 598 and served in the US Army. Juanita Fern Rowan
Juanita Fern Rowan, age 80, of Mount Clare, WV died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at her home. She was born June 27, 1930 a daughter of the late Oakey M. and Daisy Bell Trusler Malcolm. On January 10, 1970 she married Okel Okey Carl Rowan who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, David M. George of Buckhannon, WV; one daughter, Jennifer Hefner and husband Randy of Mount Clare; four granddaughters, Makenzie Kenzie, Madison Maddie, Haley and Cetara Hefner all of Mount Clare and one niece Mary Betty Kanoufs Stalnaker of Buckhannon who was raised by Daisy Bell and Oakey Malcolm. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Violet Rhodes, Anna Kanoufs and Zena Street. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church at Tallmansville, WV and was a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School in 1948. She attended WV Business College and graduated with a two-year business degree. Friends will be received Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Ray Robinson
Joseph Ray Robinson, age 40, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born September 7, 1970 in Buckhannon, a son of Charlotte Kay Bond Robinson of Lodi, OH and the late Calvin Ray Robinson. On May 16, 1999 he married Audra Rachel Riley who survives. Also, surviving are three sons, David Earl, Jonathon Thomas and Ronald Cole Robinson all of Buckhannon; four brothers, John Riley and wife Gladys of Crawford, WV, William Peck of Cleveland, OH, Bobby Riley of FL and Rick Riley; one sister, Donna Myers of French Creek, WV and several aunts and uncles. Also in addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one nephew, Carl Smith; one niece, Carrie Riley and his mother in law, Viletta Riley and father in law, Wilbert Earl Riley. Friends will be received Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Jessie M. Riffle
Jessie M. Riffle, age 93, of Thomas, WV died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Cortland Acres in Thomas under the care of Mountain Hospice. She was born March 31, 1917 in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Alanzo and Nancy Hayes Lang. On October 16, 1939 she married Robert Icen Riffle who preceded her in death on November 23, 1972. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Edward Riffle and four brothers, Russell, Frank, Fred and John Lang. She is survived by five sons, James R. Riffle and wife Helga of French Creek, WV, Roger William Riffle and wife Margaret of Canton, OH, Gerald Arthur Riffle and wife Judy of San Angelo, TX, Ralph J. Riffle and wife Roxanne and Thomas Edward Riffle and wife Barbara all of Buckhannon; three daughters, Martha Ann (Riffle) Ours and husband David of Buckhannon, Helen Jane (Riffle) Simons and husband Bill of Roanoke, WV and Sharon Lee Riffle of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Sadie Bush of Coshocton, OH and Tressie Blizzard of Clark, OH; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Riffle was a homemaker and a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Monday, November 22, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.
