Robert Phillip 'Bob' Kyle
Robert Phillip 'Bob' Kyle, age 53, of Buckhannon, WV. Died Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Louis A. Johnson V.A. Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born August 11, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Virginia C. Zickefoose Kyle of Buckhannon and the late John W. Kyle, Jr. In addition to his mother he is also survived by one brother, John W. Kyle III and his wife Cathy of Nutterfort, WV; one sister, Patricia Ann Kyle of Parma, OH; and two nieces, Samantha and Jessica Russell both of Parma, OH. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Lee Kyle. Bob was a Christian by faith and had served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Miller. Burial will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery, Rock Cave, WV. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Michael Dale Farrar
Michael Dale Farrar, age 26, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home. He was born May 5, 1987 in Fredericksburg, VA a son of Troy Farrar and Lois Faye Anderson of Norfolk, VA. On June 13, 2011 he married Adrian Ann Gregory who survives. In addition to his parents and wife he is survived by one daughter, Skye Farrar of Cleveland, OH; two sons, Michael Farrar II and Landon Farrar both of Cleveland; one step-son, Dominic Casdorph of Charleston, WV; one step-daughter, Olivia Casdorph of Charleston; two brothers, Troy Farrar II of Virginia Beach, VA and James Farrar of FL; three sisters, Kristy and Michelle Farrar both of Virginia Beach and Kimberly Farrar of Buckhannon; fifteen nieces and nephews; one great nephew; seventeen cousins; three uncles and two aunts. Friends will be received Friday, June 21, 2013 from 12-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2PM. Kathryn L. Feola
Kathryn L. Feola, age 96, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born August 19, 1918 in Weston, WV, a daughter of the late John and Pearl Gay Fury. On August 28, 1938 she married Dominick L. Feola who preceded her in death on July 10, 2004. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Rondal Fury and four sisters, Marguerite Cochran, Geraldine Nicholson, Pearl Limer and Marie Montgomery. She is survived by one son, Stephen Feola and wife Patricia of Buckhannon; one daughter, Stephanie Feola of Vienna, WV; one granddaughter, Kimberly Gilmore and husband Matthew of Vienna and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Feola was a homemaker. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was also a longtime member of the Altar Rosary Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Ron Nikodem, S.M. as celebrant. Denzil H. Frederick
Denzil H. Frederick, age 80, of Volga, WV died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his home. He was born July 26, 1935 in Freed, WV, a son of the late Benjamin and Virgie Richards Frederick. On October 5, 1989, he married Linda Orsburn who survives. Also surviving are one son, Dana Frederick and wife Sharon of Coxs Mills, WV; one daughter, Dina Bush and husband Gary of Coxs Mills; one step son, Everett Fox of Clarksburg, WV; one step daughter Kimberly Riley and fianc Justin Haney of Buckhannon, WV; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, George Frederick and wife Patty of Big Springs, WV and Dallas Frederick and wife Carlene of Nobe, WV and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Darren Frederick; one brother, Roger Frederick and three sisters, Lillian Frederick, Evajean Sams and Edna Jarvis. Mr. Frederick served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a heavy equipment operator for Union Drilling. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Patricia Ann Jasper
Patricia Ann Jasper, age 75, of French Creek, WV died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born July 2, 1932 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Lillian Ehlert. On July 22, 1950 she married Paul J. Jasper who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Lisa Gilfillan and husband Michael of Morgantown; two sons, Paul E. Jasper and wife Margaret of Columbus, OH and David M. Jasper of Beverly, OH; three grandsons, Paul, Brian and Nathan Jasper all of Columbus, OH; four granddaughters, Jennifer Beining of Dublin, OH and Emily, Aisling and Lara Gilfillan, all of Morgantown; two great-granddaughters, Jasile Adkins of Tucson, AZ and Mikayla Jasper of Hilliard, OH; one great-grandson, Nathan Jasper of Columbus; two sisters, Grace Clark of Rocky River, OH and Debbie Smith of Gainesville, FL and two brothers, Albert Ehlert of Wickliffe, OH and Lance Ehlert of Cleveland. Mrs. Jasper was a school bus driver for the Perry School District in Ohio. She was a member of the St. Patricks Catholic Church of Weston, WV and of the St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Perry, OH and a member of the Alton CEOS. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 30, 2008 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with a Rosary at 8 PM. Opal Virginia Shreve Fallon
Opal Virginia Shreve Fallon, age 102, of Braselton, GA passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015. She was born November 29, 1912 in the small lumbering town of Jenningston, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Alva Musto Shreve and Elsie May Lantz Shreve. She grew up in the rural area of Mt. Nebo, West Virginia where she attended Gormley Elementary School, a one-room school. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul Wesley Fallon who passed on June 17, 1984; one son, Ronald Ray; one daughter, Donna Sue Gould; two grandsons, Kurt Marshall Gould and Lawrence Wesley Fallon; one sister, Ola Elizabeth Helms; two brothers, Denver Arthur Shreve and Leo Vern Shreve. She is survived by one son, Lawrence Leo Fallon and wife Joanne of Sandusky, OH; one daughter, Judith Lynn Wilson and husband Al of Braselton, GA; one son-in-law, Terry Gould of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Sheila Carol Watson and husband Damon of Phoenix, AZ; four grandsons, Kevin Gould and his partner Inez Jones of Portage, MI; Kenneth Gould of Charleston, WV; Alfred (Skip) Wilson and wife Nikki of Atlanta, GA; and Jason Wilson and wife CJ of Suwanee, GA; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Opal was the owner/operator of Opals Dress Shop and a member of the Business Professional Women of Buckhannon, WV. She was active in Girl Scouts, 4H Clubs and was a 4H leader for several years. In 1954 she won the Mrs. Northeast West Virginia pageant and served one year in that position. She was also a charter member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church and was very active in different groups in that church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Helen Oates officiating. The family will receive friends and the remains will be placed in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Mt. Nebo, WV. John Jacob 'Jake' Gaudet
John Jacob 'Jake' Gaudet, 54, of Anchorage, Alaska died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Baltimore, M.D. VA hospital. He was born January 31, 1952 in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Jake was a son of the late Stanley Joseph and Mabel Cutright Gaudet. He was married to his beloved Ning.
Surviving family are a son, John Jacob Gaudet, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, a daughter, Sara Jane Gaudet of Asheville, North Carolina. A grandson, Robie Beckham of Lancaster, South Carolina. Two brothers and wives, Larry Nelson & MaryAnna Gaudet of Knoxville, Tennessee, James Stanley & Donna Gaudet of Lynchburg, Virginia. One sister, Mary Gaudet Shoulders and husband James Stanley of Buckhannon, West Virginia. Jake leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncle along with many special and dear friends, hunting and fishing buddies from all over the world.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Frederic Matthew Gaudet, sister, Glenda Carrie Gaudet, a neice and nephew and a very special sister in- law, Ann Gaudet.
Jake served his country in the U. S. Army, based in Fairbanks, Alaska. Jake was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Jake was the owner and guide of Jakes Alaska Wilderness Outfitters. Jake was a licensed master guide with the State of Alaska, a member of Alaska Professional Hunters Association, NRA, SCI, Outdoor Guides Association and a life member and approved guide and outfitter with the North American Hunting Club. At Jakes request his body will be cremated and his ashes will be spread over the mountains of his beloved Alaska.
The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to Jake's beloved close friends that supported him in countless ways during his long, courageous battle with cancer. Their countless measures of friendship will always be remembered.
A celebration / memorial of Jakes life will be planned in the near future.

Patricia Cutright Lipscomb Maher
Patricia Cutright Lipscomb Maher, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born December 11, 1937 in Parcoal, WV, a daughter of the late Burl Howard and Pauline Snyder Cutright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lora Mae Gallagher. She is survived by two daughters, Amy Hamfeldt and husband Brian of Lakesite, TN and Sara Lipscomb of Missoula, MT; one son, Andrew Lipscomb of Weston, WV; one grandson, Jason DeVoe of Missoula; four granddaughters, Emily, Katherine, Anne Marie and Brianna Hamfeldt all of Lakesite; one sister, June Limbers of NC; one brother, Burl Howard Cutright, II of FL; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. She was a Registered Nurse for Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Her pioneer spirit lead her to Alaska in 1959 and on to Montana in 1976 returning her home to her roots in WV in 1985. A Memorial Service will be held 7 PM, Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Lanham Cemetery in Queens, WV. Connie Phillips Gower, age 67, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born March 25, 1940 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Rondel Carl and Emma Carpenter Beam. She is survived by her husband, Sonny Gower of Buckhannon; four sons, Robert Lee Phillips and wife Trisha of Buckhannon, Steve Phillips and wife Bettie of Hiddenite, NC, Brian Phillips of Taylorsville, NC and Jeremy Phillips of Taylorsville; one daughter, Pamela McDaniel and husband Billy of Taylorsville; two step sons, Sonny Gower, Jr. of Weston, WV and Stevie Gower of Weston; one brother, Tommy Beam of Ellamore, WV; six sisters, Phyllis Wamsley of Buckhannon, Mildred Booth, Brenda Hamilton, Carolyn Williams and Debra Sims all of Ellamore and Barbara Cerullo of Buckhannon and ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Artie R. Mathew Grose
Artie R. Mathew Grose, age 92, of 264 Woodvale Drive, Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Buckhannon, WV, died at 12:00 AM Sunday, October 7, 2007 in Manor Care Health Services, Chambersburg, PA. She was born February 20, 1915 in Lewis County, WV, she was a daughter of the late James B. and Sarah Woods Mathew. Artie lived her entire life in Buckhannon. She had been employed as the Manager of The Style Shop in Buckhannon. Artie was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Buckhannon and had been active with the churchs Sunday School program. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and the Engles Ladies Auxiliary in Buckhannon. Her husband, W. Allman Smokey Grose, former Chief of Police of Buckhannon, preceded her in death February 19, 1977. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Lukic and husband James of Chambersburg, two grandchildren, Susan M. Smith and husband Todd of Athens, GA and Michele L. Lukic of Raleigh, NC; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Aidan Smith, and four nephews; Donnie Mathew and wife Delores of Weston, WV, Larry Joe Mathew and wife Brenda of Jeffries, WV, Bob Grose and wife Carol of Buckhannon and Charles 'Bud' Grose and wife Sue of Mt. Clare, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
