Joseph Russell Andrick
Joseph Russell Andrick, age 70, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at his home. He was born October 31, 1936 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Corbin William and Brenice Mae Bennett Andrick. On June 20, 1960 he married Marthella Coralee Queen who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Joseph Russell Andrick, II and wife Laura of Blue Springs, MO, Michael Christopher Andrick of Saint Charles, MO, Robert William Andrick of Buckhannon and James Wilson Andrick and wife Paula of Buckhannon; one daughter, Ann Marie (Andrick) Lofton and husband Cleavon of Buckhannon; twin sister, Mary Elizabeth Emery and husband Lewis of Alliance, OH; one brother, John Lloyd Andrick and wife Katie of Hyattsville, MD and eleven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Corbin William Andrick, Jr., James Howard and Paul Wesley Andrick and one granddaughter, Sabrina Thomas. Mr. Andrick, served in the US Airforce. He was an Estimator for Moore Business Forms, a member of the South Buckhannon Mission Church, the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598 and the Hodgesville Lions Club. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Sunday, November 19, 2006 from 12-2 PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Ed Lowther officiating. Billy Joe Arnold, Sr.
Billy Joe Arnold, Sr., age 72, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, June 14, 2007 at his home. He was born September 3, 1934 in Suncrest, WV, a son of the late Alexander and Francis Irene Wamsley Arnold. On November 24, 1956 he married Shirley Mae Matheny who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Billy Joe Arnold and wife Cheryl of Buckhannon, Kelly W. Arnold and wife Melinda of Rock Cave, WV and Jerry L. Arnold and wife Dawn of French Creek, WV; one daughter, Crystal D. Brown of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Kevin Arnold of Rock Cave, Joseph and Nicholas Arnold both of Buckhannon, Dakota Arnold of French Creek and Steven Brown of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Marlana Ringer and husband Josh of Buckhannon, Shanda Orsburn and husband Matthew of Buckhannon, Shayla Arnold of French Creek and Megan Arnold of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Nathaniel Ringer of Buckhannon; two great-granddaughters, Cadence Ringer of Buckhannon and Rhianna Orsburn of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Arnold was a construction worker, a member of the Rock Cave Baptist Church and the Banks Vol. Fire Department. Jarrod Tucker Ables died at St. Josephs Hospital in Buckhannon, WV Sunday, July 8, 2007. He was born July 8, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospital, a son of John Frederick Ables, Jr. and Betsy Talbott both of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he is survived by a half sister, Megan Talbott of Buckhannon; a half brother, Tyler Ables of Buckhannon; maternal grandparents, Richard L. and Suzanne Talbott both of Buckhannon; maternal great grandmother, Anna Lee Combs of Buckhannon and an aunt, Melanie Talbott of Mooresville, SC. A private family graveside service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon with Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Robert Lee Andrick
Robert Lee Andrick, age 82 of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the home of his cousin, under the care of St. Josephs Hospice. He was born on January 4, 1925 at Buckhannon, a son of the late Nellie Byrd Andrick. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William A. and Nora Belle Andrick and one cousin, Patricia Muncy. Mr. Andrick is survived by nine cousins; Nancy Shobe and husband Fred of Buckhannon, Katherine Stalnaker of Buckhannon, Susanne Myers and husband Jerry of Rock Cave, WV, Caleb Myers of Rock Cave, Patrick Gregory of Buckhannon, Joshua Gregory of Buckhannon, Robert Stalnaker and wife Susan of Gassaway, WV, and Robert Stalnaker, II of Gassaway. He was a teacher for the Lewis Co. Board of Education and attended the Christian Faith Center. He was a member of the Lewis County Retired Teachers Association, a graduate of WVWC class of 1950, a member of the Emeritus Club and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Friends will be received from 12-2 PM, Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday at the funeral home with the Reverend John E. Ruby May Armstrong
Ruby May Armstrong, 81, of Center Twp., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, surrounded by her family. Born July 2, 1929, in Buchannon, WV, Ruby was the daughter of the late Francis I. and Chloe (Sudar) Oldaker. Ruby will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She faithfully attended Monacrest Free Methodist Church for over 50 years and enjoyed making quilts and cooking. In addition to her parents Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin C. Armstrong, who passed away on October 22, 2008; a son-in-law, Thomas Cichoski on April 9, 2009; a grandson, Travis Cichoski on May 5, 1994; and a brother, Kenneth Oldaker. She leaves to mourn her loss three sons, Roger Armstrong and his wife, Bertha, of El Paso, TX; David Armstrong of Center Twp. and Randy Armstrong and his wife, Elena, of Oakdale; a daughter, Deborah Cichoski of Center Twp.; her grandchildren, Valerie Perches and David (Frances) Perches, all of El Paso, TX, Davina (Erik) Phillips and Tom Cichoski, all of Center Twp., Arlena and Evan Armstrong of Oakdale and David (Eloise) Armstrong in New Mexico; five great-grandchildren, Logan and Samuel Phillips and Liz, Zeth and Zachary Perches; and a brother-in-law, George (JoAnn) Armstrong of Center Twp. Friends were received Thursday, Dec. 16th, in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. James Edwin Aylestock
James Edwin Aylestock, age 88, of Clarksburg, WV, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. He was born on April 10, 1919 a son of the late Parley S. and Nola Gould Aylestock. On November 30, 1946 he married Brenice Tyde Riggs who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons; Larry A. Aylestock and wife Janet F. of Buckhannon, WV, and Bernard L. Aylestock and wife Cathy B. of Buffalo Lake Road, WV; one daughter, Charlotte A. Simmons and husband Glenn of Lutherville, MD; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carl Aylestock, Woody Aylestock both of WV, and Harold Aylestock of VA; three sisters, Levaune Bourne, Natalie Lawson and Anna Mae young all of VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Dewain L. Aylestock; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Mr. Aylestock was a lineman for Monongahela Power Co. and retired after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church, Oak Mound, Clarksburg. He was a member of the Mens Fellowship, and was member of the CCC. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army during WWII in Ireland, England and France. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat near Brest, France. Friends will be received 5-9 PM Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Cheryl Fitzgerald - Arnold, age 40, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, December 23, 2007 at her home. She was born February 5, 1967 in Buckhannon, a daughter of Lorene Peters Fitzgerald of Petersburg, WV and the late Vernon Fitzgerald. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Bill Arnold whom she married April 10, 1988. Also surviving are one son, Joseph Meigs Arnold of Buckhannon; one daughter, Megan Leann Arnold of Buckhannon; one sister, Carol Radcliff of Las Vegas, NV; paternal grandmother, Ruby Davis of Buckhannon and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Conley. She was a homemaker and attended Way of Holiness Church. William Roland Aegan, Sr.
William Roland Aegan, Sr., age 74, of Rock Cave, WV died Friday, March 7, 2008 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born December 18, 1933 in Rock Cave, a son of the late Dana C. and Mabel Fitzgerald Aegan. On September 29, 1962 he married Mary Jean Gay Mourey who preceded him in death on August 7, 2004. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one son, David Aegan and one brother, Joe Aegan. He is survived by four sons, William R. Aegan, Jr., and wife Beth of Buckhannon, Thomas Aegan of Gilbert, AZ, Richard Aegan and wife Rebecca of Vichy, MO and Dana Charles Aegan and wife Kristina of Buckhannon; four daughters, Victoria Shroyer and husband Rocky of Moravian Falls, NC, Robin Lantz and husband Robert of Bridgeport, WV, Genevia Phillips of Buckhannon and Nancy Belle Heater and husband Wesley of Buckhannon; twelve grandsons, Rocky Todd Shroyer, Derrick Aegan, Rodney Shroyer, Justin Lantz, Christian Heater, William Thomas Aegan, Anthony Duke Phillips, Wyatt Aegan, Aaron Aegan, Hank Phillips, Jacob Aegan and Jack William Heater; three granddaughters, Faith Victoria Aegan, Lilly Jean Heater and Hailey Nicole Aegan; one great-grandson, Isaac Gage Shroyer; two sisters, Betty Lou Bastain of MD and Mabel Sue Silvers of OR; and three brothers, Harry Aegan of PA, Richard Aegan of PA and Robert Aegan of GA. Martin M. Burr, age 69, of Adrian, WV died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at Culpeper Regional Hospital in Culpeper, VA. He was born November 21, 1936 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Charles D. and Mary E. Haymond Burr. On March 12, 1958 he married Mary B. Flynn Burr who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Richard Burr and wife Laura of Summerville, SC and James M. Burr and wife Sunnie of Warrenton, VA; one daughter, Kathy (Burr) Cox and husband James of Culpeper; two brothers, Allen Burr of Buckhannon and James Burr of Adrian; three sisters, Mary Tarley of Romney, WV, Martha Landis and Joann Samples both of French Creek, WV; three grandsons, Danny, Brady and Casey Burr and four granddaughters, Pamela and Sarah Burr and Kendall and Delanie Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles J. Burr. Mr. Burr was a Senior Technical Writer for Department Of The Army. Gary Wayne Casto, age 47, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. Josephs Hospital. He was born January 6, 1962 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Lewis Ware and Betty Zane Casto. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one half brother, Bob Ware and stepmother, Icy Newlon. He is survived by wife Sherry Williams Casto; a fianc, Dorothy McClure of Buckhannon; three brothers, Larry Wade Casto of Buckhannon, Lewis Casto of Nitro, WV and Billy Casto of VA; three sisters, Carol of Philippi, WV, Linda of WV and Barb; several cousins and several nieces and nephews. Gary was a taxi driver, a member of the First United Methodist Church and a faithful attender of AA. Shasta Teara Rutledge-Andrick, age 18, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Eden, WV. She was born October 3, 1989 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of Cleavon and Ann Marie Andrick Lofton of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Shaquille Lofton of Beverly, WV, Marcus and Jordan Lofton both of Buckhannon; maternal grandmother, Marthella Andrick of Buckhannon; paternal grandmother, Idella Killingsworth of Cleveland, MS; paternal grandfather, Ellis Shannon of Aurora, IL and paternal grandmother, Charlotte Latson of Riveria Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sabrina Thomas and maternal grandfather, Joseph Andrick. Shasta was a student at Buckhannon-Upshur High School. She was a member of the South Buckhannon Union Mission Church and a member of the Junior Democrats Club, Ladies Stingers Soccer Team.
