Daniel R. Lewis, 29, of Parkersburg, passed away January 2 2009 at his residence. He was born in Parkersburg, a son of Joe R. Lewis of Parkersburg and Connie L. Hanscome and her husband Harold, also of Parkersburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Paula Kaneff and Sheryl Lewis, both of Vienna; two brothers, Richard Lewis of Vienna and Jason Lewis of Parkersburg; and grandmother, Ethel Rollyson also of Parkersburg.
Funeral services will be conducted 11AM Tuesday January 6 2009 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with Reverend Keith Hostutler officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9AM until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family request donations be made to help defray funeral expenses.
Alyce D. Wallbrown
Alyce Dugan Wallbrown, 82, of Harrison, Ohio, formerly of Belpre, Ohio passed away Jan. 1, 2009.
She was a daughter of the late Floyd and Grace Foley Dugan. Alyce was a 1943 graduate of DeSales Heights Academy in Parkersburg, W.Va. and was a life long member of DeSales Heights Alumni. She worked as a secretary for various Justice of the Peace officers in Parkersburg and served as secretary of Hospice in Fairfield Glade, Tenn.
She enjoyed dancing, fishing, bowling and shuffle board. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cleves, Ohio, and was a past member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Belpre.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles E. Wallbrown; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Deborah Wallbrown, of Belpre, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Selina and Skip Taft, of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandson, Matthew (Betsy) Wallbrown; granddaughters, Melissa (Marty) Tefft, Amy Russell and Megan Taft; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Parkersburg, with Father Eric Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Rockland Cemetery in Belpre. The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with a Rosary service at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Robert E. Marshall
Robert E. Marshall, 62, of Ellettsville, Indiana, passed away December 30, 2008, at the Bloomington Hospital of Orange County, Paoli, Indiana. He was born September 23, 1946, in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late Lionel A. and Beulah I. Marshall.
Bob was retired from Crane Naval Base in Indiana. Prior to that Bob worked at WTAP in Parkersburg, WV as the control board operator. He was an avid Amateur Radio operator and his call sign was KA8GIC, he was a private pilot and loved to fly, and he also enjoyed working with computers. He was a member of the Ellettsville Christian Church.
Surviving is his beloved son, Peter Lionel Marshall, who is a student at Ball State University in Indiana, and his mother Debra Marshall; one sister, Barbara Davis, of Leland, NC; one brother, Roger Marshall, of Vienna, WV; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; 5 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2009, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, WV with Pastor Tim Burch officiating. Interment will follow in the Parkersburg Memorial Gardens, Parkersburg, WV. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Bonnie J. Clark
Bonnie J. Clark, 57, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away Dec. 30, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 15, 1952, in Marietta, Ohio, a daughter of the late Virgil and Mary Evans.
Bonnie was a Nurses Aide for over 20 years and worked at numerous local facilities, having spent the majority of her career at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed needlepoint, puzzles, and especially enjoyed her cats. She was very active at the Boaz Baptist Church, where she was a member of the American Baptist Women's Ministry. She was also very involved with card sending through the church and faithfully attended Tuesday night Bible study.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Clark of Vienna, W.Va., whom she married in the summer of 1972; one stepson, Larry Clark also of Vienna, W.Va.; one sister, Debbie Britton of Marietta, Ohio; one brother, Wayne Evans of Elba, Ohio; two grandchildren, Chance and Chase Clark, also of Vienna, W.Va.; and one aunt, Anna Mae Butler.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Bob Alfred officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Park, Reno. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
Patsy Ann Modesitt Monroe
Patsy Ann Modesitt Monroe, 72, of Vienna passed away Dec. 29, 2008, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late Austin P. and Wanda E. Johnson Modesitt. She graduated from PHS in 1955, attended the Parkersburg Community College, was a member of Wayside United Methodist Church and the Mary Martha Fellowship and was a member of the Vienna Chapter 151 Order of Eastern Star and American Legion Post 15.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Chalmer L. Monroe, whom she married Jan. 26, 1964; one son, B.J. Haught and wife, Joanna, of Summersville, S.C.; two daughters, Debbie Osborne and husband, Peter, of Fayetteville, Ga., and Julie Sullivan and husband, James, of Socastie, S.C.; one stepson, Edward L. Monroe and wife, Anna, of Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; one brother, Dr. Carl E. Price and wife, Pat, of Midland, Mich.; brother-in-law, Raymond Monroe and wife, Marsha, of Washington, W.Va.; and five nephews.
Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Wayside United Methodist Church, Vienna, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Richards officiating. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna.

Glenn M. Jameson
Glenn M. Jameson, 71, of Parkersburg, passed away Dec. 27, 2008 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 16. 1937, in Ritchie County, a son of the late Clinton J. and Flossie V. Chalfant Jameson. Glenn retired from Walker of Parkersburg, where he was known as 'Pops'. He enjoyed genealogy, art and bike riding. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Parkersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Inez Stephan Jameson who he married on Dec. 31, 1959; three daughters, Gabrielle Allen of Davisville, Kristin (Troy) Walker of Washington, WV, and Melissa Jameson of Parkersburg; five sons, Timothy (Crystal) Jameson of Ritchie County, Steven (Melanie) Jameson of Waverly, Michael (Sondra) of Lancaster, OH, Richard (Patricia) Jameson of Parkersburg and Adam (Rosie) Jameson of Mapleton, UT; three sisters, Helen Eddy of Parkersburg, Marjorie Cunningham of Marietta and Grace Cox of Pleasants County, WV; one brother, Howard Jameson of California; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2515 Capital Drive, south Parkersburg, with Bishop Mark Long officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Full military honors at the grave will be conducted by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg.
Hazel Wilma Snyder Donahue
Hazel Wilma Snyder Donahue, 93, of Parkersburg, has gone to claim her heavenly home. She passed away Dec. 27, 2008, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She had been a recent resident (three years) of Cedar Grove Personal Care.
Hazel was born Oct. 26, 1915, in Wood County, W.Va., and grew up in the Round Knob area of Roane County near Spencer. She was the daughter of the late William "Billy" and Elizabeth Lowe Snyder. She was retired from the Wood County Board of Education, where she served as a cook in area schools. She had worked at the American Viscose, Dils Department Store, Cox's, Embee's and Sears Roebuck.
Hazel was dedicated to her loving family and her church. She was a member of the Broadway Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her twin sister, Mazel Stoneking of Indiana; sister, Jean Thompson of Caloden, W.Va.; sons, Larry W. Donahue and wife, Linda, of Mineral Wells and Michael D. Donahue of Fork Union, Va.; four grandchildren, Kimberly Hunt and husband, Brian, of Mineral Wells, Matthew W. Donahue and wife, Jamie, of Parkersburg, Michael D. Donahue II of Fork Union, Va., and Marnie Woods and husband, Garry, of Breno Bluff, Va.; and eight great-grandchildren, Travis, Jacob, Rebecca, Seneca, Dustin, Lexie, Michael and Joshua.
Hazel was preceded in death by an infant son, Roger Glen; her husband, the Rev. L. Wayne Donahue; sisters, Jane Gandee, Sybil Watson, Mildred Wilson, Ada Doll Gwynn and Ruby Stalnaker; and brothers, Harry Snyder, Brooks Snyder and Hoyt Snyder.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with the Rev. Harold S. Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery South. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, and until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Robert L. Grimm
Robert Lee "Red" Grimm, 80, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Dec. 26, 2008, at the Arbors in Marietta, Ohio.
He was born May 27, 1928, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Issac and Margaret Grimm. Red started at age 15 as a delivery person for Niswander Hardware in Parkersburg. He became a sales clerk and continued working until the store closed in 1973. From there, he worked for Scott Lumber Co., where he retired as a sales clerk. Mr. Grimm loved working outdoors and helping his wife, Helen, babysit children they took care of. He enjoyed spending time with the family dog, Kasey, and cat, Tink.
Mr. Grimm is survived by his daughter, Bobette Grimm, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one stepson, James Hannaman, of Beckley, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Chana Siders, and her husband, Kenneth Siders Jr., of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and two step-grandchildren, Michael and Cassandra Siders of Parkersburg, W.Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Helen L. Grimm; and several brothers and sisters.

Dorothy Mae Umensetter
Dorothy Mae Umensetter, 81, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Dec. 24, 2008, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harley B. and Ethel Criss Smith. She was a homemaker and a 54-year resident of Vienna.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Patricia Umensetter of Vienna; one grandson, Michael Bosworth of Vienna; five brothers, Elbert Smith, Ray Smith, Harley B. Smith Jr., Jerry Smith and Johnny Smith, all of the Parkersburg, W.Va. area; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Umensetter; one sister, Genevieve Perrine; and two brothers, Harold Smith and Lewis Smith.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with the Rev. Earle Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
Eva P. Joachim
Eva P. Joachim, 79, of Little Hocking, Ohio, formerly of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away peacefully on December 27, 2008 at her residence.
She was born August 6, 1929 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late William P. and Anna P. Dilly Vanscoy. She was a Christian, a loving mother, a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and she assisted with the operations of the family businesses for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney H. Joachim and fiancé, Susan Abdella, of Little Hocking and Donald R. Joachim and wife, Diana, of Williamstown, W.Va.; two daughters, Brenda S. Cozart and husband, Jerry, of Linville, Va. And Tami L. VanCamp and husband, Detmer, of Follansbee, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Daniel Joachim, Tracy Hixon, Rodney Howard 'JR' Joachim, Jeff Cozart, Derrik VanCamp, J. Greg Joachim, Wendy Cozart, Jessica VanCamp and Patsy Karr; five great-grandchildren and two more expected soon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Joachim, in 2005; one granddaughter, Tara Hart; four sisters; and three brothers.

Ballard W. Chichester
Ballard W. Chichester, 93, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Lewis and Agnes McAhay Wilson. He was retired after 35 years of service with Fenton Art Glass and was a member of the Summit Valley United Methodist Church, where he loved going to church.
Ballard is survived by a special niece, Ruby Catherine Antle; many other nieces and nephews; as well as the church family of Summit Valley United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.

E. Leona Spencer, 90, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Monday, December 22, 2008, at Eagle Pointe in Parkersburg, W.Va.
She was born in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Daniel N. and Ada Belle Scott Gilchrist. She retired as a librarian from West Virginia University-Parkersburg; and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Parkersburg, Thetta Thetta Sorority and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by one stepson, Ronald Spencer, of Inman, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Linda Meile of New York and Sandra Anthony of Virginia; three stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Emma Hively, of Parkersburg, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Spencer; four sisters, Catherine Weaver, Virginia Gorrell and Mary Cochran, all of the Parkersburg area, and Florence Webber who resided in New Martinsville, W.Va.; and one brother, Jack Gilchrist who resided in Akron, Ohio.

Margaret E. Duffield
Margaret E. Duffield, 88, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Braxton County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Perry Morgan and Bernice Mae Hall Ramsey. She was retired from Kroger after 42 years of service and attended the Vienna Baptist Church.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Kay Villers, of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Carol Bever of Vienna, W.Va.; grandchildren, Michael Villers (Ann) of Morgantown, W.Va., Deborah Villers of Parkersburg, W, Va., Pamela Wardwell (Jay) of Beckley, W.Va., Mark Villers (Tricia) of Marietta, Ohio and Monica Bratke (Steven) of Vienna, W.Va.; and great-grandchildren, Samantha, MacKenzie and Brandi Wardwell, Megan, Morgan and Blake Villers, Kyle and Victoria Bratke.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Duffield; and one brother, Richard Ramsey.
