William Gail "Boppie" Amos, 85, of
Parkersburg, passed away Nov. 13, 2011, at
Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
He was born in Wood County on June 8, 1926,
the son of the late Alvin and Cora Marie Small
Amos.
He was a member of Grace Gospel Church in
Pettyville and retired from Higgs Roofing.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S.
Air Force during World War ll and Korea.
He enjoyed farming and gardening.
Surviving are his daughter, Debra Gail (Steve)
Yoho of Washington, W.Va.; a son, Peter K.
(Susan) Higgs of Parkersburg; a step-daughter,
Donnie Diane (Lyle) Freeland of Irmo, S.C.;
grandchildren, Robbie (Debbie) Tefft of
Parkersburg and Amanda Lea Higgs of
Parkersburg (former husband, Jason Snyder of
Lubeck); great grandchildren, Jordon Tefft,
Zachary Tefft, Brittany Tefft and Ryan
Mullins. Also surviving is his newest best
friend, "Mike-Mark" Maxwell. In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death by his
wife, Ida Louise Cook Amos, in 1988 and his
sister, Lena Wood.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Kimes
Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg.
Pastor Roger Benson will officiate and burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Jacob Dean Newlon
Parkersburg, WV
Jacob Dean Newlon, 17-day-old son of Jeremy
and Maggie Sinclair Newlon, passed away Nov.
4, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital's Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit, Morgantown.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by
his brother, Tyler Ray Newlon, at home; his
paternal grandparents, Loris Ray Newlon Jr.
and Jackie Newlon of Washington, W.Va.;
maternal grandparents, Dean Sinclair and
Cheryl Huggins, both of Williamstown; paternal
great-grandparents, Loris Ray Newlon of Little
Hocking and Sylvia Bunner of Parkersburg; and
materal great-grandmother, Margaret Huggins of
Williamstown.
There will be a funeral service at 2 p.m.
Monday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Riverview
Cemetery, Williamstown. Visitation will be 10
a.m. Monday until service time.
Kelsie Clair Buckalew
Wood County, WV
Kelsie Clair Buckalew, Jr., 69, of Wood County
passed away Nov. 4, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 23, 1942 in Parkersburg, a
son of the late Kelsie Clair Sr. and Iona
Williams Buckalew.
He was employed with Owens-Illinois as a
machine operator, had served in the U.S. Army
during the Vietnam War and he enjoyed
hunting, fishing and farming, but most of all
working hard to care for his family.
Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Carla Sue
Buckalew; two sons, Kevin Keith (Mary)
Buckalew of Givens, W.Va. and Kenton Kelsie
(Christine) Buckalew in North Carolina; five
daughters, Crystal Clair (Brian) Wilson of
Ravenswood, Caitlin Elizabeth Buckalew of
Ravenswood, Marsha Marie (Steve) Florence of
Parkersburg, Kimberly Kay Lynch of Parkersburg
and Tashia Linette (William) Rubart of
Murraysville; 14 grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren; one brother, Charles (Jean)
Buckalew of Parkersburg and one sister, Betty
(Fred) Shreve of Parkersburg and also good and
dear friend, Mike Smith of New England Ridge.
A memorial service will be held at the
convenience of the family. Kimes Funeral Home
& Cremation Services is assisting the family
and messages of condolence may be sent to them

care given to Mr. Buckalew during his illness,

Stephen (Coffee) Harrison
Parkersburg, WV
Stephen (Coffee) Harrison 57 of Parkersburg,
passed away November 2, 2011 at his home.
He was born September 5, 1954 in Parkersburg a
son of Sheila R. Buffington Harrison of
Parkersburg and the late Jack L. Harrison.
Steve was a 1972 graduate of PSHS, had worked
for 14 years with the S&D Coffee Company in
Florida and the Brown Food Service in
Parkersburg. He was currently employed with 1-
2-3 Direct Response in Parkersburg.
He enjoyed Music, the grandchildren, playing
pool and competing in local pool tournaments.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by
his fiance', Tami Clegg.
A step son, Anthony Varner. 3 step
grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha and Whitney
Varner.
1 brother, Charles E. Harrison of Parkersburg.
3 sisters, Debbie (Bill) Bever of
Murraysville, Rebecca Morehead and Robin
(Bill) Newbrough both of Parkersburg and
several nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral service. However
there will be public visitation with viewing
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street
Parkersburg on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM
Maddison Paige Fitchett
Parkersburg, WV
Maddison Paige Fitchett, 14, of Parkersburg,
passed away as a result of injuries sustained
in an automobile accident Sunday morning, Oct.
30, 2011.
She was born Nov. 8, 1996 in Parkersburg and is
the adopted daughter of David Fitchett of
Parkersburg and the late Shawneen June
Fitchett. Her birth parents are Bob Morris and
Sheryl Conrad Riffle.
Also surviving is her brother, Matthew David
Fitchett at home and three sisters, Jordan
(Brandon) Ward of Lexington, Ky., Shelene (Matt)
Shrewsbury of Mineral Wells and Mackenzie
Fitchett of Charleston; grandparents, Mary June
Shelene of Vienna, Russell A. Fitchett of
Wateview, Va., and Nancy Dyer Fitchett of
Baltimore, Md.
She was preceded in death by a grandfather,
Forrest "Bud" Shelene.
Maddison was a sophomore at Parkersburg South
High School, was a cheerleader for Mini Pats
Football, was on the South Junior Varsity
Volleyball Team and had played basketball for
the Wood County Recreation Commission and was
affiliated with the Mineral Wells Church of
Christ.
There will be a memorial service held 11 a.m.
Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth
Street, Parkersburg. Evangelist Larry Wigal
will officiate.
The family will receive visitors beginning at
10 a.m. Thursday.
Shelia Selma Weimer
Parkersburg, WV
Shelia Selma Weimer, 66, of Parkersburg,
passed away Oct. 27, 2011, at her home.
She was born Feb. 16, 1945 in Baltimore, Md.,
a daughter of Bertha Banks Watford of
Parkersburg and the late Raymond Roy Stephens.
Shelia was a homemaker and enjoyed home
decorating and drawing.
Surviving is her husband, Robert Weimer, Jr.;
one son, Timothy Stephens, Florida; several
grandchildren; three brothers, Donald Raymond
Jones, Walter Donald Jones, and William
Watford Jr.; two sisters, Sharon Stephens and
Cecelia Rund; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg
with the Rev. Mike Towner officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The
visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
