Calvin "Rusty" Lee, 62, of Route 2, Cairo,
W.Va., passed away Feb. 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1949, in Parkersburg, a
son of Betty M. Lee of Cairo and the late
Calvin M. Lee Jr.
He worked as a Union Welder Foreman and
enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Surviving is his wife, Beverly J. Lee; two
sons, Jeff (Sherry) Lee and Jerry Lee, both of
Cairo; daughter, Rusty (Rick) Barton of
Belpre; grandchildren, J.J. Cline, Ashley
Cline, Ashton McRae, Jacob Lee, and Jessica
Lee; one brother, James (Rose) Lee of
Petroleum; three sisters, Sharon (Mike) Walton
of Williamstown, Carol (Butch) Hurst of
Clarksburg, and Paula Morton of Cairo; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in
death by a brother, Michael Lee.
There will be no service or visitation. Kimes

Ruth E Moore
Vienna, WV
Ruth E. Moore, 81, of Vienna, formerly of
Waverly, passed away Feb. 3, 2012, under the
loving care of her family who adored her and
Amedysis Hospice.
She was born Sept. 5, 1930, at Grape Island in
Pleasants County, a daughter of the late
Dorthea B. Stewart.
She retired from St. Joseph's Hospital Dietary
Department and she was a member of Waverly
Church of Christ.
Surviving are three daughters, Janet (Lamar)
Reynolds, Marilyn Kirby and Patsy (Dennis)
McDonald; a nephew who she considered her son,
Jeff (Cathy) Beaver; grandchildren, Jim Moore,
Michelle Domreis, Rena Sampson, Jeremy Moore,
Jackie Reynolds, Jared, Justin and Jonathan
Kirby, Andrew (Tiffany) McDonald and Ashley
(Jesse) Stephens; great-grandchildren, Joey
Moore, Eric Patton, Dylan Kirl, Jacob Kirl,
Zoey Domreis and Joey Sampson; and two special
great-grandchildren that she cared for, who
affectionately called her GiGi, Lexie Stephens
and Austin McDonald.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in
death by her husband, James W. Moore; a son,
James L. Moore; and a sister, Anna Marie
Beaver.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Grand Central Avenue Church of
Christ, Vienna, with Evangalist Joe Spivy
officiating. Private burial will be at
I.O.O.F. Cemetery in St. Marys. The family
will receive friends at the church beginning
at noon Saturday.
Memorial donations may be directed to "House
to Home" on Eighth Street in Parkersburg or to
the Vienna or Waverly libraries.

Marilyn Sue Roerts Moore
Parkersburg, WV
Marilyn Sue Roberts Moore, 73, of Parkersburg,
passed away Feb. 2, 2012, at Camden Clark
Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
She was born Oct. 16, 1938 in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Warner and Charline Hill
Roberts.
Marilyn was a 1957 graduate of Parkersburg
High School, was a homemaker and member of the
St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church. She
enjoyed birds, gardening and above all,
spending time in the Mountains enjoying nature
with her husband who survives, Darrell H.
Moore.
She is also survived by her son, David E.
Moore of Parkersburg and her daughter, Vickie
S. (Craig) Richards of Vienna; five
grandchildren, Nathaniel T. Moore; Casandra
Moore, Joseph Moore, Megan (John) Aston and
Katlyn Richards; one great-grandchild, Henry
Ray Aston; one brother, Roger Roberts of
Belleville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by brothers, Warner E. Roberts and
James D. Robers and a sister, Kathleen Smith.
A celebration of Life Service will be held at
the convenience of the family at a later date.
The family would like to express their sincere
thanks and appreciation to the Oncology Staff
at Camden Clark Medical Center for the
dignified compassion and loving care shown to
Marilyn during her last stay at the hospital
and to Dr. Shah and his staff while she was
his patient.

Parkersburg, WV
Rebecca Ruth "Becky" Shaver 64 of Parkersburg,
passed away January 30, 2012 at Camden Clark
Medical Center-Memorial Campus.
She was born August 24, 1947 in Parkersburg a
daughter of the late Lloyd L. "Peck" and Ruth
Eaton Shaver.
Becky was a graduate of Parkersburg High
School and retired from the Bureau of Public
Debt with 38 years of service.
She enjoyed doing Crafts.
Surviving are her brothers;
Keith "Doug" (Maggie) Shaver in Texas,
Lloyd "Larry" (Helena) Shaver of Parkersburg,
Craig "Hank" (Serita) Shaver of Parkersburg,
David "Kimbo" Shaver of Parkersburg and
Jeffery "Jeff " Shaver of Parkersburg.
Sisters, Sherry "Mouse" (Roderick) Smith of
Cutler, Ohio and Bonita Kay (Bill) Sayer of
Parkersburg and many many nieces and nephews
including a special niece and caregiver, Carla
Fiallos of Parkersburg, special nephews, Gavan
McVey and Venmar Martinez, great nieces, Kylin
and Sienna Otto.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a sister, Tina Denise Shaver, a
nephew, Jason Scott Shaver and great nephews,
Evan Stephens and Mayan Martinez.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM
Friday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street
Parkersburg, Pastor Larry Dale will officiate
and burial will follow at Sunset Memory
Gardens.
The visitation will on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8
PM.
Brenda Kay Thompson Newlon
Mineral Wells, WV
Brenda Kay Thompson Newlon, 45, of Mineral
Wells, passed away Jan. 28, 2012, at her home.
She was born Jan. 27, 1967, in Parkersburg, a
daughter of Truman A. and Margie Ruth Sampson
Thompson of Rockport.
Brenda was a 1985 graduate of Parkersburg
South High School, was a member of Big Tygart
United Methodist Church and was currently
employed by Stuart C. Deem, DDS as office
receptionist. She was a former employee of
G.C. White, DDS as a dental assistant, Wayne
P. Dunn, DDS and Dr. Rutherford C. Sims,
OBGYN. Brenda had been a cheerleader coach at
Mineral Wells School and a former 4-H leader.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by
her husband of 27 years, Kenneth L. Newlon;
two daughters, Megan and Courtney Newlon, both
at home; brother, Michael (Rebecca Sharp)
Thompson of Mineral Wells; sister, Wanda
(Dave) Moore of Rockport; nieces and nephews,
Heather (Jesse) Biddle, Brittany (Kyle
Kaufman) Moore, Jeremy (Maggie) Newlon, Carrie
(Jeff) Null, Zane Mitchell and Shawn Sharp;
great nieces and nephews, Kenzy Biddle, Kole
Biddle and Tyler Newlon; father-in-law, Loris
Ray Newlon; step father-in-law, Charlie
Bunner; brothers-in-law, Junior (Jackie)

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-

Missouri Young Thompson; and maternal
grandparents, Cyrus and Frances Buchanan
Sampson.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Pastor Jeff Mayfield and
Pastor Paul Williams officiating. Burial will
follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation
will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m.
Wednesday until time of the service.
Mary Callista Rotthoff
Pennsboro, WV
Mary Callista Rotthoff of Pennsboro, W.Va.,
passed away Jan. 25, 2012, at CAMC Memorial
Division in Charleston.
She was born Jan. 28, 1952 in Pittsburgh, Pa.,
a daughter of the late John Williamson and
Delia Flaherty-Rotthoff; her adopted father
was the late Walter Rotthoff.
Mary was a graduate of the University of
Pittsburgh and was an accomplished cook. She
was known for her love of cooking, puzzles,
gardening, poetry and the arts She was a
loving mother and devoted friend and is
survived by her son, Rob Heasley; brother,
Scott Williamson, son-in-law Lenny Richards
and granddaughters, Courtney and Erika Heasley.
In addition to her parents and adopted father,
she was preceded in death by her daughter,
Mary Heather Richards.
There will be a Remembrance Service held at a
later date at the convenience of the family.
