Lucille E. Frank
JUNEAU - Lucille E. Frank, of Juneau, passed away at Mayville Nursing Home on Friday, March 21, 2003 at the age of 82 years.

Lucille was born April 26, 1920, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Neiderer) Ruediger. She married Ernest Frank on June 24, 1939, in Milwaukee.

Lucille and her husband moved to Juneau on Butter Nut Island in the early 1970s.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest B. Frank; her children, Carol Ann (Garry Hutsell) Frank, Ernest A. (Cheryle Lucht) Frank, and Gary Don (Laurel) Frank; her grandchildren, Trisha Marie and Rochelle Lee Frank; and her brother and sister, Donald (Shirley) Ruediger, and Dorothy (Chester) Otto; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Davies; one brother, Ervin, and three sisters, Evelyn, Gladys and Anita.

Visitation is Friday, March 28, at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Juneau, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Hustisford cemetery.

The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Juneau, is serving the family.

Rudolph Indermuehle
Rudolph "Rudy" Indermuehle, 78, of 504 Walnut St., Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam.

The funeral will be held on Friday, March 28, at 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Melvin Thur will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.

Rudolph was born on Nov. 4, 1924, in Beaver Dam, the son of Ernest and Rosa (Hirsig) Indermuehle. He was married to Joyce Rau on Sept. 23, 1945, at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Rudolph was a cheese makeer until 1968 and then was employed at Monarch Range Co. until 1985. His hobby was his garden and his flowers. He enjoyed raising African violets. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, where he was a member of the Men's Club. He was a member of AARP and the Roamers.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, Beaver Dam; three children, Sharon (William) Riddiough, Madison, Rudolph E. Indermuehle, Menomonee Falls, and Bruce L. Indermuehle, Beaver Dam; three grandsons, William Riddiough Jr., Tempe, Ariz., Greg Riddiough, Madison, and David Indermuehle, Lomira; one granddaughter, Crystal Indermuehle, Mayville; one great-grandson, Ethan Indermuehle; one sister, Dorothy Zahn, Sun City, Ariz.; one brother, Ernest (Carole) Indermuehle, Menomonee Falls; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Heidi, and five brothers- and sisters-in-law.

Friends may call on Friday, March 28, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or Hillside Hospice.

Armond R. Boeder
IRON RIDGE - Armond R. Boeder, 89, of W1829 Rock Road, Iron Ridge, was called home to his Lord on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mayville.

The funeral will be held on Friday, March 28, at 11:30 a.m., from Zum Kripplein Christi Lutheran Church, town of Herman. The Rev. John G. Bonow II will officiate. Burial will be in Zum Kripplein Christi cemetery, town of Herman.

Armond was born on Feb. 13, 1914, in rural Hartford, the son of Robert and Anna (Giese) Boeder. He was married to Vivian A. Callies on May 26, 1940, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Huilsburg.

Armond was a retired town of Herman farmer and sold seed corn for Pride and NK Seed Co. for 40 years. He was a member of Zum Kripplein Christi Lutheran Church, town of Herman. He was past president of Zum Kripplein Christi Lutheran Church and held other offices. He was a director for the Hartford Co-op. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed playing Sheepshead and enjoyed the outdoors including hunting and fishing.

Survivors include three children, Louann "LouLou" (Darryl) Braun, Iron Ridge, Mari (Dennis) Fleischer, Horicon, and Robert (Sheila) Boeder, Iron Ridge; one daughter-in-law, Anna Boeder, Iron Ridge; two sisters, Erna Lau, Hartford, and Loretta Hilgendorf, Mayville; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1991; one son, Eugene in 1998; one infant twin son; two infant grandchildren, and one sister, Frances Fink.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 27, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, and on Friday, March 28, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Zum Kripplein Christi Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made to Zum Kripplein Christi Church or school.

Esther J. McNiel
Esther J. McNiel, 89, of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at the Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 28, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter cemetery, town of Beaver Dam.

The former Esther Jospehine Hartl was born on March 9, 1914, in Beaver Dam, to the late Joseph and Lena (Schweiger) Hartl. Following graduation from Beaver Dam High School in 1932, she worked at the Bear Brand Hosiery in Beaver Dam for many years. On Oct. 2, 1937, she was united in marriage with John W. McNiel. She later moved to California where she worked at the Pacific State Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1977. She moved back to Beaver Dam in May 1990. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Survivors include one daughter, Susan E. (David) Kepper, Clayton, Calif.; one sister, Blanche Robertson, Beaver Dam; one special niece, Cherie Willie, Beaver Dam; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband on Sept. 22, 2002, and two sisters, Helen Rupp and Ruth Heller.

Friends may call on Friday, March 28, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Beverly Bath
Beverly (Strohbusch) Bath, 68, of Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, March 23, 2003, at her daughter's home.

A meorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, at 7 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. Cremation has taken place.

Beverly was born on Aug. 25, 1934, in Horicon, the daughter of william and Vivian (Buckhaus) Strohbusch.

Beverly was a Beaver Dam resident for over 33 years. She was the manager of the VFW Bar in Beaver Dam for many years, then owned and operated Bev's Hide-Away in Beaver Dam from 1985-1997. Bev also worked at Conley Publishing for many years. She was an avid bowler. She raised seven children of her own, and shared her home through the years with many others that needed a motherly touch. She will be missed by family and friends alike for her willingness to find the goodness in everyone no matter what road they took.

Survivors include seven children, Gary (Mary) Noe, Miami, Okla., George (Pam) Noe, Horicon, David (Gail) Noe, Beaver Dam, Dale Noe, Milton, Laura (Lee) Beyer, Juneau, Art (Maureen) Noe, Hartford, and Dawn (Donald) Strahota-Bath, Beaver Dam; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchildren; special friends and companion, Mike Otto, Beaver Dam; one brothr, George (Toby) Strohbusch, Beaver Dam; two sisters, Janice (Lee) Diels, Fort Atkinson, and Maureen "Cookie" Lookman, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Donald Strohbusch Sr.

Friends may call on Tuesday, March 25, for a memorial gathering from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service, at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Dolores A. Carlin
Dolores A. Carlin, 68, of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, March 27, 2003, at the Columbus Community Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Monday, March 31, at 7 p.m., at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Columbus. The Rev. Bruce Hennington will officiate. Burial will be on Tuesday, April 1, in Annunciation cemetery of Lost Lake.

Dolores was born on July 28, 1934, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Robert and Leonna (Frieberg) Heller. She was married to Russell Carlin on April 16, at St. Mary's, Lost Lake.

Dolores was a graduate of Fall River High School. She was a member of the Eagles Club of Fond du Lac, and the Puckaway Yacht Club. She worked at the Cheeseman in Sun Prairie and the Friday Canning Co. in Cambria for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Columbus.

Survivors include four children, David (Pam) Carlin, Park City, Utah, Mary (David) Peck, Fond du Lac, Sister Mary David Joseph Carlin, Beaver Dam, and Gary Carlin, Chicago, Ill.; nine grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Brozek, Waunakee; five brothers, Elliot Heller, Portage, DuWayne (Shelby) Heller, Randolph, Milton (June) Heller, Randolph, Hubbert ÓButchÓ (Doris) Heller, Sun Prairie, and Danny Heller, Columbus; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell in 1988; one daughter, Linda, on June 13, 1999; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann, in 1988; and three brothers, Robert C., Wayne and Eugene Heller.

Friends may call on Monday, March 31, from 5 p.m. until the time of service at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Columbus.

Francis W. Harttert
MARKESAN - Francis "Fran" W. Harttert, 73, of Markesan, died on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at the Markesan Resident Home.

The funeral will be held on Monday, March 31, at 6 p.m., at the Wachholz Family Funeral Home, Markesan. The Rev. Gary Zacharias will officiate. Burial will be in Phelps cemetery.

Fran was born on Aug. 7, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Francis Sr. and Lucille (Moisemann) Harttert. He was married to Joyce L. Weitzel on June 17, 1971, in Chicago, Ill.

Fran served his country during World War II as an itelligence scout and a paratrooper. He was the president of Harttert Screw Products Inc. of Markesan.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; three sons, Mark (Danette) Harttert, Jeff (Janice) Harttert, all of Markesan, and Eric Harttert, Madison; one daughter, Holly (William) Nanney, Beaver Dam; seven grandchildren, Jason Harttert Jamie Harttert, Bret Harttert, Lisa Daye, Cole Nanney, Hayley Harttert, and Zachery Harttert; two great-grandchildren, Colin Bukowski and Aaron Daye; one sister, Myrel Derus, Illinois; special friend, Phyllis Ross, Ripon; other relatives and many dear friends.

Friends may call on Monday, March 31, from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the Wachholz Family Funeral Home, Markesan.

Thomas Tratar
Thomas Tratar, 77, of Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at William S. Middleton VA Hospital, Madison.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1, at 10 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key will officiate. Burial will be in Southeastern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial cemetery, Union Grove.

Thomas was born on Dec. 13, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Frank and Mary (Merlock) Tratar. He was married to Florence I. Strop on April 13, 1949, in Ladysmith.

Thomas served in the Second Division of the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater of War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Thomas was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam, where he was a communion distributor and past president of the parish council. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Pope John XXIII Council 1837 in Beaver Dam, and the John E. Miller American Legion Post 147 in Beaver Dam. He had been a member of the Eagles in Beaver Dam and served as a scout master for the Boy Scouts of America in both Ladysmith and Beaver Dam. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father who enjoyed gardening, carpentry and cooking. He will also be remembered by many for his great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Tratar, Beaver Dam; four children, Gregory (Phyllis) Tratar, Beaver Dam, Sandra Cole, Huntington, W.V., Yvonne (Gary) Lousberg, Mayville, and Mark (Brenda) Tratar, Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Sekula, Chicago, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Tratar; his father- and mother-in-law, Henry and Susan Strop; four brothers, Frank Jr., John, Joseph and Anthony Tratar, and an infant son at birth.

Friends may call on Monday, March 31, from 4 to 7 p.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, and on Tuesday, April 1, from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Memorials may be made to Camp American Legion.

Gary N. Spiel
MADISON - Gary Nixon Spiel, 51, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2003, at the University Hospital, Madison.

He was born on Dec. 1, 1951, in Beaver Dam, to Harold and Marjorie (Wastrack) Spiel.

He was a 1969 graduate from Beaver Dam High School, he attended and graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 1971. He was employed with the Citizen Publishing Co., Beaver Dam, from May 1971 until August 1973, as a prep department manager and circulation supervisor. He then joined the Litho Productions Inc., Madison, from October 1973 until January 1986, as a camera operator before working for the Four Lakes Colorgraphics, Inc., Madison, from February 1986 until May 1993, as a scanner operator. Since May of 1993, he worked for Discover Color Inc., McFarland, as a color/scanner operator. He has been a member of Our Saviour's Ev. Lutheran Church since 1994. He enjoyed boating, going to Brewer games, country western festivals, traveling to the ocean and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; daughters, Moryah (fiance Josh Becker) and Lindsey (fiance Mike Mau), mother, Marjorie Spiel; brother, Rick (Sue) Spiel, three sisters-in-law, Sharon (Bob) Sanner, Regina (Don) Sauey and Barb Hellpap; nephews, Matthew Spiel and Jon Sanner; nieces, Andrea Spiel and Kari (Russell) Wood, and A.J.- the "Pupper"; uncle, Elwood (Charleen) Wastrack and families; special friends, Lana and Dwight Meyers, Steve and Holly Stauffacher and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Spiel; maternal and paternal grandparents; and his foster grandparents, Cecil and Archie Overby.

A special thank you to the staff at UW Hospital and especially Dr. Steven Howard of Radiation Oncology, Dr. Robert Love of Cardiothoracic Surgery, the staff of Linac 4, nurses Mary Ellen and Sallie in the Cardiac ICU and Sharon Peterson, Physical Therapy at Meriter Home Health; your compassion and care went above and beyond. Also, thank you to family and friends whose thoughts, prayers and good deeds helped us through the last three months.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1201 Droster Road, Madison, with the Rev. Brad Homan presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Garden, Cottage Grove.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 31, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Gunderson East Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive and also on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, UW Comprehensive Cancer Center or the American Heart Association.

Linda McMillan
Linda McMillan, 97, of 212 E. Industrial Drive, Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 3, at 1 p.m., at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. David Bitler will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Linda was born on June 9, 1905, in the town of Westford, the daughter of Charles and Dora (Diefenbach) Krebs. She was married to Harold S. McMillam on Sept. 6, 1930, at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Linda was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, an honorary member of the Ladies Aid and a member of the Retirees of the church. She was also a past member of the Eagles.

Survivors include three daughters, Pat Roedl, Beaver Dam, Donna (Victor) Koch, Hartford, and Arlene (Hans) Oelke, Columbus; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many step-great-grandchildren; two nieces; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1968; one son, Raymond, in November 2000; one son-in-law, Frank "Moogie" Roedl, and one daughter-in-law, Ethel McMillan.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 3, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service in the Memorial Room at First Ev. Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Radio Fund at First Ev. Lutheran Church.
