Rose Bashynski
Rose Bashynski, 96, of Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Daniel Massie will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery, town of Westford.
Mrs. Bashynski was born on Aug. 25, 1905, in the town of Westford, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Dombrowski) Drzonek. She was married
on Nov. 23, 1926, to Chester Bashynski at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Bashynski was employed at one time at the Bear Brand Hosiery Co., Beaver Dam. After her marriage, the couple worked their farm in the Lost Lake area. In 1953 they moved to Pearl Street in Beaver Dam and lived in the home Chester built. She had always enjoyed playing cards, her love of flowers, a vegetable garden, bowling, baking, and her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, of the Rosary Society, the Apostlate of Suffering and Sacred Heart League.
Survivors include two daughters, Adeline (Willard) Yaroch, Sun Prairie, and Rita (Alfred) Bork, Beaver Dam; one son, Arnold (Shirley) Bashynski, Randolph; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Frances Drzonek; her husband, Chester, on July 13, 1985; one grandson, Joseph Bork, on Jan. 5, 1966; six sisters, Cecelia Neuman, Pearle "Palagie" Ryback, Harriet "Hattie" Yaroch, Regina Kirley, Clara Evans and Violet Linde-Brigowatz; four brothers, Joseph, Louis, John and Tom Drzonek.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a parish vigil at 7:45 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, and on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
Regina A. Beckman
JUNEAU - Regina A. Beckman, 83, of Juneau, formerly of Hartford, died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2001.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Hartford. The Rev. Daniel D. Westendorf will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Mayville.
Miss Beckman was born on May 23, 1918, in the town of Theresa, the daughter of Paul and Marie (Toepel) Beckman. She was the granddaughter of the Rev. Adolph Toepel and his wife.
Miss Beckman was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church, town of Theresa, by her grandfather, the Rev. Adolph Toepel, went to grade school in the town of Wayne, and summer school at Zion Lutheran Church. She moved with her parents to Hartford in 1949 and worked as household help and in child care. Besides taking care of her aging parents, she was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, Hartford, and a member of Hartford Senior Citizens. She enjoyed embroidery, rug braiding, ceramics and going to night classes regularly. She was a loving aunt to seven nieces and four nephews.
Survivors include two sisters, Verona Margelofsky, Mayville, and Virgelia (Raymond) Pamperin; seven nieces, four nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Herbert and Martin Beckman; one brother-in-law, Wilbert Margelofsky, and one grandniece, Kristi Whitinger.
Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Hartford.
Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church, or the town of Theresa building fund.
Carol J. Smith
COLUMBUS - Carol J. Smith, 68, of Columbus, died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, in Columbus.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m., at Hillside cemetery, Columbus. The Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate.
Mrs. Smith was born on July 31, 1933, in Columbus, the daughter of Walter and Inez (Peters) Howe. She was married
on Nov. 30, 1951, to Fred Smith.
Survivors include three sons, Larry (Jill) Smith, Fall River, James (Jodi) Smith and Lee (Uti) Smith, both of Columbus; three daughters, Judy (Gary) Powers, Fall River, Jeanette (Dennis) Kasmiski, and Cindy (Tim) Pierce, both of Columbus; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Mary Lou) Howe, Columbus, and Richard (Carol) Smith, Madison; two sisters, Linda (Richard) Goodinson, and Darlene (Charles) Jones, both of Columbus; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred, on Aug. 14, 1990; one son, Terry Smith; four grandchildren, and two brothers, Walter and Robert Howe.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. for graveside services at Hillside cemetery, Columbus.

Robert J. Noll
TOMAHAWK - Robert "Bob" J. Noll, 88, of 28 N. Tomahawk Ave, Tomahawk, died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Tomahawk.
A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tomahawk. The Rev. Michael Tupa will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Tomahawk.
Mr. Noll was born on May 31, 1913, in Beaver Dam, the son of Joseph and Bertha (Pankow) Noll. He was married
on Sept. 3, 1955, to Agnes Cramer in Milwaukee.
Mr. Noll was a 1931 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. He worked as an electrician/linesman for WPS in Beaver Dam, and later for Briggs and Stratton. He and his wife moved to Tomahawk in 1969, where he opened Noll's Tap, the bar he owned and operated for 32 years. Prayers were an important part of his life; he never went a day without praying for someone.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Noll, Tomahawk; five daughters, Marylee (Alfred) Grube, Sheboygan, Diane (Mike) Przekurat, Modesto, Calif., Lois (Chuck) Kuenzi, Beaver Dam, Charlene Noll, Tomahawk, and Carolyn (Greg) Kukanich, Lakeland, Tenn.; two sons, William Noll, Juneau, and Dennis Noll, Beaver Dam; three brothers, Bill (Cora) Noll, Waupaca, Henry (Bernie) Noll, Beaver Dam, and Ralph (Mary) Noll, Hartford; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three nephews; one niece; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, five brothers, and one grandson, Robert "Rob" W. Noll, in 1989.

Elizabeth Wiersma
RANDOLPH - Elizabeth "Betty" Wiersma, 80, of Randolph, died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Continental Manor, Randolph.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m., at the Friesland Reformed Church. The Rev. Mark Starr will officiate. Burial will be in Friesland cemetery.
Mrs. Wiersma was born on June 21, 1921, in the town of Alto, the daughter of Carl and Mary (Flier) Aalpoel. She was married
on May 10, 1946, to Herman Wiersma in Waupun.
Mrs. Wiersma and her husband worked their Cambria area farm until retiring in 1979. They moved to Continental Manor in August 1998. She was a member of the Friesland Reformed Church, Friesland.
She will be sadly missed and mourned by her children, Marilyn (Joel) Abramson, Mequon, Wayne (Phyllis) Wiersma, Randolph, Carl (Karen) Wiersma, Fort Collins, Colo., and John (Tina) Wiersma, Sun Prairie; three grandchildren, Brian Abramson, Brett (Nicole) Wiersma, and Heather Wiersma; two sisters, Harriet TerBeest and Esther Sasada, both of Waupun; one brother, Lawrence Aalpoel, Madison; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman, on Sept. 24, 1998, and one brother, John.

Fred Falske
WAUPUN - Fred Falske, 86, of Waupun, died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at his home.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waupun. The Rev. Michael F. Moran will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, town of Trenton.
Mr. Falske was born on Aug. 12, 1915, in Merrill, the son of William and Alena (Seehafer) Falske. He was married
on Nov. 7, 1936, to Joan Elisabeth Lenard in Wausau.
Mr. Falske was involved with many activities in the Waupun area; he loved to volunteer. He was involved in Marsh Haven projects, AARP, John C. Burke Council No. 4897 Order Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waupun, where he was an usher and had many friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Joan (Raymond) Wasser, North Port, Fla., and Marilyn Rose (Eugene) Young, Waupun; four grandchildren, Joseph, James and Jeff Meyer, and John (Pam) Young; four step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, in 1993; one granddaughter, Joan Margaret Young, on April 12, 1973; one great-grandson, Michael James Meyer, in April 1986; one sister; two brothers, and his parents.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Hope of Fond du Lac.
Karen R. Logue
CHANDLER, Ariz. Ð Karen R. Logue, 54, of Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at her home.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Logue was born on May 16, 1947, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Raymond and Agnes (Kiefer) Polenska. She was married
in September 1985, to Harry J. Logue in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mrs. Logue worked as a drug and alcohol counselor at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital.
Survivors include her mother, Aggie Tuel, Beaver Dam; her husband, Harry Logue, Chandler, Ariz.; aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Polenska and her step-father, Robert Tuel.
The Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, is serving the family.
Richard Stahr
FOX LAKE - Richard "Dick" Stahr, 71, of Fox Lake, died on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at his home.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, Fox Lake. The Rev. Jack Harle will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Fox Lake.
Mr. Stahr was born on Jan. 1, 1930, in Wyocena, the son of Alfred and Amanda (Purves) Stahr.
Mr. Stahr attended schools in Poynette, Cambria and was a Fox Lake High School graduate. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division, Company L, until his discharge in January 1954. He was employed with American Motors Corporation, Milwaukee, as an assembler, Radcliff Industry, Juneau, as an aluminum siding installer, and latest at Monarch Range, Beaver Dam, in warehouse operations. He was a member of the Robert Ginther Post No. 521 American Legion, Fox Lake, and an active member and great supporter of the First Presbyterian Church, Fox Lake. He was an avid pool shooter and bowler, will always be remembered for his interesting conversations with others at the local cafe and drive-in, and especially his love of angels.
He will be sadly missed and mourned by two sisters, Lorraine "Twink" Derivan, Fox Lake, and Marion (Louis) Larson, Milwaukee; one brother, Dean Stahr, Loomis, Calif.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred, on June 21, 1972; his mother, Amanda, on March 25, 1995; and three brothers, Robert, on Dec. 15, 1968, Alfred, on Jan. 20, 1987, and Donald, on June 18, 1995.
Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home, Fox Lake, and on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the First Presbyterian Church, Fox Lake.

Harriette Schmidbauer
MAYVILLE - Harriette "Hattie" Schmidbauer, 97, of 1071 Horicon St., "Deerview", Mayville, formerly of the village of LeRoy, died on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lomira.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m., at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee.
Mrs. Schmidbauer was born on Dec. 3, 1903, in LeRoy, the daughter of Reinhold and Mary (Urban) Rost. She was married
on April 10, 1926, to Homer H. Hanson. She was married
on Jan. 2, 1970, to John "Hans" Schmidbauer in Milwaukee.
Mrs. Schmidbauer owned Hamples Book Store, Milwaukee. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy, and St. Andrew's Christian Mothers.
Survivors include three children, Joan Nitschke, LeRoy, Arlene (Orville) Kamrath, Horicon, and Betty Ann (Earl) Kehrmeyer, Fond du Lac; step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; brothers and sisters; one son-in-law, Gilbert, and one step-grandson, Thomas.
Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

Harvey A. Sperling
TEMPLE, Texas - Harvey A. Sperling, 77, of 3010 Ira Young Drive, No. 303, Temple, Texas, formerly of Iron Ridge, died on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at Scott and White Hospital, Temple, Texas.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 4 p.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. Pedro Suarez will officiate. Burial will be in Juneau City cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted.
Mr. Sperling was born on Sept. 19, 1924, in Iron Ridge, the son of Elsmer and Anna (Miller) Sperling. He was married
on June 15, 1946, to Isabel Meddaugh in Juneau.
Mr. Sperling was a graduate of Mayville High School. He was a plumber and electrician for E. Sperling and Sons, Iron Ridge. He was also a building inspector for Two Rivers and Oconomowoc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany, England and France, during which time he received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the First Ev. Lutheran Church, Temple, Texas, and a member of Barber Shoppers S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. Milwaukee Chapter.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel Sperling, Temple, Texas; one daughter, Janet Salzman, Oak Park, Ill.; one son, William (Rosalyn) Sperling, Germany; one brother, Wilbur (Jenny) Sperling, Webster, Texas; one sister, Ruth (Rayno) Schultz, Neshkoro; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son-in-law, Louis.
