Arden L. Stobb
RIO - Arden L. Stobb, 71, of Rio, died on Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at Columbus Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m., at Portage United Methodist Church, 1804 New Pinery Road, Portage. The Rev. Joy Mick will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ripon.
Mr. Stobb was born on March 27, 1930, in Berlin, the son of Louis and Tena (Doering) Stobb. He was married
on Sept. 25, 1948, to Joyce Culver in Oshkosh.
Mr. Stobb was a graduate of Ripon High School. He farmed from 1948 to 1971, then worked at the Ripon Co-op Feed Mill from 1971 to 1978. He then worked at the Cenex Feed Mill, Columbus, from 1978 to 1993. He and his wife lived in the Ripon area for the past six years, prior to that living in the Columbus, Fall River, Wyocena and Ripon areas. He was a member of the Portage United Methodist Church, was active in the choir, and was their custodian.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joyce Stobb, Rio; three sons, David (Sharon) Stobb, Keith (Cindy) Stobb, both of Ripon, and Glen (Peggy) Stobb, Columbia, Mo.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call on Friday, Aug. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Vangen Funeral Home, Rio, and on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Portage United Methodist Church.

Sylvia M. Neumann
Sylvia M. Neumann, 68, formerly of 400 North St., Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Kurtis Mau will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Sylvia was born on Nov. 24, 1932, in the town of Trenton, the daughter of Walter A. and Frances (Krause) Neumann.
Sylvia was a member of the Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, and a member of the Dodge County Medical Assistance Association. She was a receptionist with various physicians in the Beaver Dam area.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Schrank, Waupun, and Rose (Jim) Lehnherr, Oregon; one step-sister, Sandi (the Rev. Ken) Schauer, Alaska; two step-brothers, Jerome (Pat) Krause, and Mark (Pam) Krause, both of Spencer; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call on Friday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Sherrin Patey
REESEVILLE - Sherrin Patey, 50, of Reeseville, died on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at her home.
The funeral is pending with the Murray Community Funeral Home, Reeseville.
Deborah Glass
MAYVILLE - Deborah (Thrun) Glass, 49, of 11 Bridge St., Mayville, died on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, as the result of an auto accident.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. David Koch will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery, Horicon.
Mrs. Glass was born on Nov. 4, 1951, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Schleif) Kadinger. She was married
on Sept. 29, 1996, to Bert Glass in Horicon.
Mrs. Glass was a receptionist at the Radiology Department at Beaver Dam Community Hospital, and was an EMT with the North Fond du Lac Emergency Medical Service, where she was the equipment and clothing officer. She was a member of the Wisconsin EMT Association, was a past member of the Brook Ambulance Service, and was a former ranking member of the Mayville EMT's. She was very fond of her beloved cat, C.J.
Survivors include her husband, Bert Glass, Mayville; her mother, Dorothy Kadinger, Watertown; one brother, Craig (Marcia) Kadinger, Columbus; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Kadinger, and her first husband, Curt Thrun.

Sherrin A. Patey
WASHINGTON, Mo. - Sherrin A "Cherry" Patey, 50, of Washington, Mo., died on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at her father's home in rural Reeseville.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m., at United Methodist Church, Lowell. The Rev. Paul Foulke will officiate. Burial will be on Monday, Aug. 20, at noon, in Prairie Home cemetery, Waukesha.
Sherrin was born on Dec. 19, 1950, in Waukesha, the daughter of Edwin and Patricia (Gustine) Patey.
Sherrin was a 1969 graduate of Waukesha High School. She then attended UW-Stout. She was a lifelong associate of the JCPenny Co., working at stores throughout the area, including La Crosse for eight years. She culminated her career as store manager in Washington, Mo.
Survivors include her father, Edwin Patey, Reeseville; one brother, Sid (Joyce) Patey, Reeseville; two nieces, Kristin Patey, Milwaukee, and Kari Patey, St. Paul, Minn.; one nephew, Jay Patey, Reeseville; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Patey, on Oct. 29, 1995.
Friends may call on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Lowell

Leonard L. North
Leonard Leslie "Red" North, 75, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at University Hospital, Madison, following a short illness.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. David Bode will officiate. Burial will be in Cambria cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by the Beaver Dam VFW and the Beaver Dam American Legion.
Mr. North was born on Oct. 2, 1925, in the town of Courtland, the son of John and Pheobe (Plovey) North. He was married
in 1955 to Anna Mae Osterling.
Mr. North lived his entire life within a 20-mile area of Beaver Dam, with the exception of the time he served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in the European Theatre of Operations. He worked for Metalfab, Beaver Dam, for many years, and retired in 1987. He was an avid bow hunter, hunter and fisherman. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, the Clarence Keske VFW Post No. 1163, Beaver Dam, and the John E. Miller American Legion Post No. 146 of Beaver Dam.
Survivors include special friends John and Marlene Kleindl and Vivian Matthews; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna, on Nov. 30, 1980, and one infant son, Scott Lee.
Friends may call on Monday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Gerhard A. Meier
COLUMBUS - Gerhard A. Meier, 80, of Columbus, died on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Meriter Hospital, Madison.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m., at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Columbus. The Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate. Burial will be in Bloomer, Wis.
Mr. Meier was born on Sept. 21, 1920, in the town of Lowell, the son of Candidus and Frieda (Ganz) Meier. He was married
on Aug. 9, 1975, to Charlotte Hetzel at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bloomer.
Mr. Meier was an area farmer for many years. He was a bulk milk truck driver. He and his wife operated the Country Aire Motel, Columbus, for six years, after which he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Meier, Columbus; one daughter, Sandra (Anthony) Slater, Glendale, Ariz.; one son, Scott (Lynn) Meier, Reeseville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Schultz and Hilda (Ronald) Poetter, both of Beaver Dam, and Marion (Merwyn) Birkholz, Waupun; three brothers, Harry (Mary) Meier, Beaver Dam, Erwin Meier, Columbus, and Joe (Pat) Meier, Florida; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Harold Meier.

Audrey N. Urban
WEST ALLIS - Audrey N. (Frederick) Urban, 80, of West Allis, formerly of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Friday, Aug. 10, 2001.
The funeral was held on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m., at Good Shepherd's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Allis. Private burial was in Highland Memorial Park.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 49 years, Harold; one son, James Urban; two sisters, Irmgard Nolte and Karen (Wilbur) Weddingfeld; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Sylvester A. Kadinger
Sylvester "Sy" A. Kadinger, 80, of 610 E. South St., Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at Beaver Dam Care Center after a brief struggle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m., at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh. The Rev. Dean Desilet will officiate.
Mr. Kadinger was born on March 28, 1922 in Beaver Dam, the son of Peter and Ella (Dobberphul) Kadinger.
Mr. Kadinger attended Beaver Dam public schools, graduating from Beaver Dam High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed at Monarch Range of Beaver Dam and Mayville Metal of Mayville until retirement a few years ago. He was Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include his long time companion, Beatrice "Bea" S. Davis, Beaver Dam; and her family, William R. (Mary) Davis, Ronald H. (Jayne) Davis, and Donna (the late James) Morgan, all of Oshkosh; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one nephew, Wayne (Peggy) Kadinger, Horicon, and one grandnephew, Mike (Cindy) Kadinger, Hustisford.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Fred, and one sister, Mary.
Family will greet guests in the mausoleum chapel before the service. Military honors by the American Legion Cook-Fuller Post No. 70 will be given during the inurnment service to follow.

John C. Fischer
BROWNSVILLE - John C. Fischer, 86, of N10963 West Line Road, Brownsville, died on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 6:30 p.m., at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Brownsville. The Rev. William Carter will officiate. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Fond du Lac. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post No. 347 of Lomira.
Mr. Fischer was born on Dec. 5, 1914, in Brownsville, the son of Martin and Martha (Wetzel) Fischer. He was married
on Aug. 25, 1951, to Dorothy Muellenbach in Fond du Lac.
Mr. Fischer farmed in the township of LeRoy. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Brownsville, and the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post No. 347 of Lomira.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Fischer, Brownsville; two sisters, Laura Lerch, Lomira, and Gertrude Reible, Brownsville; three sisters-in-law, Vivian Fischer, Mayville, Imelda (John) Bos, Kimberly, and Agnes Hermanns, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Milton, Irvin, Gilbert, Martin, and Arnold; three sisters, Ella Neitzel, Adela Isken, and Mary Fischer; five brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

Frank J. VanDerVeen
RANDOLPH - Frank John VanDerVeen, 74, of W551 Highway G, Randolph, died on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at his home.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m., at the First Reformed Church, Randolph. The Rev. Cal Vande Zande will officiate. Burial will be in Friesland cemetery.
Mr. VanDerVeen was born on Jan. 27, 1927, in Dolton, Ill., the son of Sip and Nellie (Triemstra) VanDerVeen. He was married
on June 17, 1950, to Dorothy Van Bruggen in Dolton, Ill.
Mr. VanderVeen loved spending time with his wife, Dorothy, and his family. He had a nickname for each of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, and visiting with people. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Randolph. He had a love of airplanes, antique tractors, watches, old lamps, and anything he could tinker with.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy VanDerVeen, Randolph; four children, Sid (Carol) VanDerVeen, Raymondville, Mo., Lynell (Rick) Pettibone, Rio, Janet (Harvey) Mosley, Sun Prairie, and Frank (Bernie) VanDerVeen Jr., Randolph; seven grandchildren, Scott (Robin) VanDerVeen, Jake (Linsay) VanDerVeen, Amy "Tink" (John) Beattie, Megan VanDerVeen Mosley, John VanDerVeen, Leah VanDerVeen, and David VanDerVeen Mosley; three great-grandchildren, Austin VanDerVeen, Paige Beattie, and Hunter VanDerVeen; one sister, Jeanette VanDerVeen, Dolton, Ill.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; one brother, and one great-grandson, Nicholas Joseph Frank Beattie.
