Genevieve Schouten
WAUPUN - Genevieve Schouten, 89, a resident of the Christian Home, Waupun, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at the home.
The funeral will be held on Friday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Ted Medema will officiate. Burial will be in Alto cemetery.
Ms. Schouten was born on July 8, 1911, in the town of Alto, the daughter of Garret and Jennie (Te Beest) Schouten.
Ms. Schouten lived in Alto most of her life. She was employed at Mid-State Shoe Factory, Waupun, until her retirement. She was a member of Alto Reformed Church and the Woman's Missionary Circle and its Guild.
Survivors include one daughter, Josephine Konings, Waupun; one grandson; two granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Westerveld, Waupun; one sister-in-law Dena Schouten, Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son-in-law; two sisters, and two brothers.

Aldine Hillery
WAUPUN - Aldine Hillery, 91, of 819 Wilcox St., Waupun, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at her home.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 23, at 4 p.m., at the Waupun United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hillery was born on March 26, 1909, in Norway, Kan., the daughter of George Wesley and Clare Wright. She was married
on Nov. 10, 1928, to Melvin Hillery in Scandia, Kan.
Mrs. Hillery graduated from Norway High School. She and her husband resided in Waupun most of their married
lives. She was an active member of the Waupun United Methodist Church, its Ruth Circle, the United Methodist Women and AARP. She worked in the ready to wear department of JC Penney's for several years. Aldine and her husband spent many years in Florida and after his retirement came back often to spend time with family and friends. They moved back to Waupun in 1988.
Survivors include one son, Milton (MaryAnne) Hillery, Orono, Maine; one daughter, Mari (John) Loomans, Waupun; six grandchildren, Linda (Jim) Payton, River Falls, Luann (Bob) McCoy, Burlington, Mike (Mary Lou) Hillery, Iowa City, Iowa, Mark (Deb) Hillery, Racine, Matt (Julie) Hillery, Kenosha, and Judy (Jim) Teachout, Waupun; three step-grandsons, Tim (Jennifer) Daun, Alisio Veijo, Calif., Brian Daun, Shakopee, Minn., and Andy (Cathy) Daun, Chicago; 19 great-grandchildren, Kristin (Matthew) Borup, Emily and Amanda Papendieck, Hillary Payton, Robert "RJ" (fiancee Erika), Rachel, Joshua and Rebekah McCoy, Marcus, Matthew, Michael and Max Hillery, Eric and Jessica Hillery, Elisabeth and Jack Hillery, Nicholas and Hilary Teachout and Gretchen Daun; one great-great-grandson, Bennett Borup; one granddaughter-in-law, Carol Loomans Gonwa, West Bend; one brother-in-law, Troy Wright, Eugene, Ore.; one sister-in-law, Cleo (Verna) Ward, Cheyenne, Wyo.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; one grandson, Dan Loomans; three brothers, and one sister.
Friends may call on Friday, March 23, from 2 p.m. until the time of service in the new narthex of Waupun United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to her family for the Dan Loomans Memorial Music Scholarship Fund or Hospice Hope.

John W. F. Habermann
SHEBOYGAN - John William Francis Habermann, 68, of 612 S. 27th St., Sheboygan, died peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2001, at his home from complications of a recent stroke and cancer.
Mr. Habermann was born on Aug. 20, 1932, in Cassville, the son of John F. "Hans" and Millicent K. (Welsh) Habermann. He was married
on May 4, 1957, to Elaine M. Bornick in Beaver Dam.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for John on Saturday, March 17, at 9 a.m., at St. Clement Catholic Church. The Revs. James Connell and Richard Cerpich will officiate. Burial will be in Greendale cemetery, where military rites will be accorded.
Mr. Habermann was a 1950 graduate of Beaver Dam High School and attended Wayland Junior College, UW-Whitewater, and was a graduate of the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science, class of 1956. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1952 to 1954.
John began his career in funeral service as a director with the Hafemeister Funeral Home, Watertown. In 1965, he purchased the former Gerend Funeral Home, Sheboygan. John provided caring service to the community for over 30 years as owner of the Gerend Habermann Funeral Home, until he sold the firm to Mark Zimmer in April 1996. John retired in August 1997.
Active in various parish, fraternal and civic organizations, John was a member of St. Clements parish, where he had served as an usher, parish council and school board member. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary, Knights of Columbus Council 772, where he had also been past president of the Columbus Institute, past Faithful Navigator and Fourth Degree Knight. He also was a past president of the Sheboygan Sierra Club, a member of the American Legion Post No. 83 and the VFW Post No. 1230. John was a life member of the Sheboygan Noon Optimist Club.
John served his profession as a former president at the Lakeshore Funeral Directors Association, and was a member of the State and National Funeral Directors Association. He was a philatelist and a member of the Sheboygan Stamp Club for many years. He enjoyed cooking and toured America and Europe with Elaine, after retirement.
Survivors include his loving wife, Elaine Habermann, Sheboygan; three sons, John E. (Anna) Habermann, Farmington Hills, Mich., Michael P. (Patricia) Habermann, and Thomas W. (Sarah) Habermann, both of Lexington, Ky.; two daughters, Kathleen A. (Richard) McKay, Acworth, Ga., and Judith E. (Dana) Grover, Modesto, Calif.; six grandchildren, Hannah, J. Maxwell, Tess, Phillip, Emily and Grace Habermann; one sister, Ann Christine Habermann, Delevan; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Habermann.
Friends may call on Friday, March 16, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a parish vigil held at 7:30 p.m., at the Habermann-Zimmer Funeral Home, 805 N. 6th St., Sheboygan, and on Saturday, March 17, until brief family prayers will be conducted at 8:45 a.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Vinnie L. Brown
KING - Vinnie L. Brown, 87, of King, formerly of Hancock, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 11 a.m., at the Leikness Funeral Home, 358 S. Oxford St., Wautoma. The Rev. Norman R. Jole will officiate. Burial will be in Hancock cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born on Dec. 22, 1913, in Packwaukee, the daughter of Edward and Addie (Runnels) Kaatz. She was married
on June 16, 1949, to Stilman Brown at the United Methodist Church, Coloma.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post No. 9510, Randolph. She served as church usher and altar guild for many years at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. She loved flowers and her flower garden. She loved to sing and dance with her friend-lover-husband of 50 years. Now she can sing and dance in the Lords heavenly sunshine and gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Stilman Brown, a resident of the Veterans Home in King; one son, Norman Parker, Florida; two daughters, Marlene (Pete) Kovacic, Fox Lake, and Melva (Tom) Brown-Dring, Madison; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lyle Kaatz, Chicago; a special sister-in-law, Thelma Stratton, Randolph; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Neal and Perry Parker; one grandson, Kurt, and two sisters, Mary Murray and Ruth Zeblesky.

Alice L. Rassman
RANDOLPH - Alice L. Rassman, 86, of Continental Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center, 502 S. High St., Randolph, formerly of Horicon, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at UW Hospital, Madison.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 11 a.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. Geoffrey Hoy will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Horicon.
Mrs. Rassman was born on June 21, 1914, in the town of Williamstown, the daughter of John and Bertha (Maltzhan) Rothenberger. She was married
on May 4, 1935, to Arnold Rassman in Mayville.
Mrs. Rassman was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville.
Survivors include one son, Robert (Judy) Rassman, Horicon; one sister, Edna Heilmeyer, Fox Lake; four grandchildren; three grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Allen; one sister, Viola, and one brother, Walter.

Viola M. Matuseski
Viola M. Matuseski, 96, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at Hillside Manor Nursing Home, Beaver Dam.
The funeral will be held on Monday, March 19, at 11 a.m., at Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Jack Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Matuseski was born on May 25, 1904, in the town of Westford, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Snowden) Welch. She was married
on June 26, 1923, to Ben Matuseski in Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Matuseski was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam, and a member of Circle 3 of the church.
Survivors include two sons, Lyman Matuseski, and Kenneth (Irene) Matuseski, both of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Grace Guenther, Beaver Dam; one brother, Arnold (Mary) Welch, town of Westford; one sister, Alice Spielman, Beaver Dam; 17 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, in 1976; one daughter, Leona Lockwood; one son, Glenn; two brothers, Lester and Myron, and one great-grandson, James Lockwood.

Ada H. Pasewald
REESEVILLE - Ada H. Pasewald, 85, of Reeseville, died on Friday, March 16, 2001, at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 20, at 11 a.m., at Murray Community Funeral Home, Reeseville. The Rev. Charles Brizius will officiate. Burial will be in Lowell cemetery.
Mrs. Pasewald was born on Feb. 29, 1916, in Clyman, the daughter of John and Bertha (Kressin) Schultz. She was married
to Harley Pasewald on Feb. 14, 1945.
Mrs. Pasewald was a member of the First United Church of Christ Reeseville.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1978; two sisters, Melva Marquardt and Erma Luckietsch; and one brother, Orville Schultz.

Robert R. Peterson
WILD ROSE - Robert R. Peterson, 74, of Pineland Park, Wild Rose, died on Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, March 18, at 3 p.m., at Laemmrich Community Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha. The Rev. John Hartenberger will officiate.
Mr. Peterson was born on March 31, 1926, In Fort Atkinson, the son of Roy and Regina (Schammer) Peterson.
Mr. Peterson was a veteran of world War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps with squadron H 307th AAF Base. He was a gunner on a B-17. He had owned and operated a Standard station in Beaver Dam for many years and then went to work for Bonded Spirits in Oconomowoc as a salesman where he retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved the outdoors. He never missed a hunting season since he was 12 years old.
Survivors include his friend and companion of 40 years, Jean Woreck; one son, Richard (Jessie) Peterson, Menasha; three grandchildren, Eric Peterson, Vanessa (Eric) Dorn and Isaac Peterson; one sister, Patricia (Roger) Eikland, Jefferson; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard, in infancy.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 18, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the Laemmrich Community Funeral Home, Menasha.
A memorial has been established.
Ardis A. Schultz
KNOWLES - Ardis A. Schultz, 68, of W2270 Highway Y, Knowles, died on Friday, March 16, 2001, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's cemetery, LeRoy.
Mrs. Schultz was born on Oct. 8, 1932, in Knowles, the daughter of Alphonse and Florence (Behneke) Adelmeyer. She was married
to Arnold Schultz on June 26, 1954, in LeRoy.
Mrs. Schultz was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold, Knowles; one son, Arlen Schultz, Knowles; one daughter, Audrey Schultz, Marquette; one brother, Leslie (Betty) Adelmeyer, Knowles; and nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Norlin R. Lueck
Norlin R. Lueck, 65, of 424 S. Center St., Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, March 15, 2001, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.
The funeral will be held on Monday, March 19, at 1 p.m., at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Philip Heyer will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Lueck was born Aug. 14, 1935, in Princeton, the son of Reinhold and Erma (Cook) Lueck. He was married
to Mary Gruenerd on March 12, 1966, in Beaver Dam.
Mr. Lueck was employed at Kirsh Foundry for 33 years retiring Jan. 24, 1997. He was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lueck, Beaver Dam; his step-mother, Thelma Stratton, Randolph; one daughter, Kristin (Eugene) Wildeman, Fox Lake; three sons, Thomas Norlin (Darlene) Lueck, Beaver Dam, Jason Lueck, Beaver Dam, and Brad Lueck, Beaver Dam; three sisters, Elaine Pater, Ladoga, Geraldine Reyes, Princeton and Betty (Harold) Gallenbeck, Beaver Dam; three brothers, Marlin (Jean) Lueck, and Norman (Lucy) Lueck, both of Fox Lake, and Lloyd Lueck, Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Rose Marie and Brenda Jean Lueck, and Melinda Lynne and Andrew Mitchell Wildeman; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one stillborn daughter and one daughter in infancy, Brenda Joyce, and one sister, Ardis Gabathuler.
