WAUPUN - Angeline Grahn, 82, of Waupun, died on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
The funeral is pending with the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun.
Raymond C. Prechel
ANTIGO - Raymond C. Prechel, of W11297 Spring Road, Antigo, died on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001.
The funeral was held on March 2, at 9:30 a.m., at Ascension Ev. Lutheran Church, Antigo.
Mr. Prechel was born on May 11, 1922, the son of Max and Hattie Prechel. He was married
on April 16, 1941, to Manrie Olson.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond Prechel, Watertown, Richard (Frances) Prechel, and James Prechel, both of Beaver Dam, and Michael Prechel, Antigo; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one great-granddaughter, Allysha Dunham.
John Schaalma
RANDOLPH - John Schaalma, 73, of 127 Stroud St., Randolph, died on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at Waupun Memorial Hospital, Waupun.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m., at the Second Christian Reformed Church, Randolph. The Rev. James Admiraal will officiate. Burial will be in the Randolph cemetery.
Mr. Schaalma was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Randolph, the son of Albert and Tena (TerLaan) Schaalma. He was married
on Aug. 28, 1947, to Dorothy Douma in Randolph.
Mr. Schaalma worked at numerous jobs, for many years as a truck driver for Randolph Lumber Yard and then enjoyed 15 years as night watchman at Kirsh Foundry, Beaver Dam, until retirement. Mr. Schaalma enjoyed traveling to his children out of state and also enjoyed time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church, Randolph.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; six children, Mary Ann Schaalma, Madison, Thelma (Wayne M.) Wiersma, Randolph, Betty (Frank) Soodsma, Randolph, Jerry (Myra) Schaalma, Florida, Alan (Norine) Schaalma, Randolph, and Cathy (Craig) Hanson, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ted Schaalma, and James (Audrey) Schaalma, both of Fond du Lac; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Schaalma, Juneau; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Peter Schaalma, and one grandson.
Friends may call on Friday, March 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Randolph Community Funeral Home, and on Saturday, March 3, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Second Christian Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
Joel W. Muche
CAMPBELLSPORT - Joel W. Muche, 37, of Campbellsport, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 3, 2001.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 6, at 7 p.m., at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, 1st and Marr St., Fond du Lac. The Rev. David Dolan will officiate. Burial will be on Wednesday, March 7, in Graceland cemetery, Mayville.
Mr. Muche was born on Aug. 28, 1963, in Mayville, the son of William A. and Luanne (Margelofsky) Muche. He was married
on Feb. 28, 1998, to Shelly Zimmerman at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac.
Mr. Muche attended St. John's Lutheran School, Mayville, and Immanuel Lutheran School, town of Theresa, where he was confirmed in May 1977. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1982, where he was active in football, track and music. He attended the University of Wisconsin at West Bend and Madison.
Mr. Muche was a charter boat captain on Lake Michigan for eight years, chartering the "Pub Tub" fishing tours. Until his illness, he was an avid sportsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, trapping and nature. He was a member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac, Walleyes for Tomorrow, Wings over Wisconsin and Sturgeons for Tomorrow. He was employed at Quad Graphics, Lomira, as a finishing lead person for 10 years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Shelly Muche, Campbellsport; their 22-month-old son, Jordan Muche; his mother, Luanne (Carl) Tighe, Mayville; his father, William A. (Diane) Muche, Theresa; two sisters, Janell (Bret) Loescher, Nevada and Missouri, and JoAnn Muche, Theresa; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Verda Margelofsky, Mayville; father and mother-in-law, Doug and JoAnn Zimmerman, Lomira; one brother-in-law, Mike (Tracy) Zimmerman, Lomira; three nephews, Gavin and Miles Loescher and Brady Sokolik; uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfred "Butch" and Elsie Muche, and one cousin, Tyler Chemer.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 6, from 4 to 7 p.m., at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac.
Memorials may be made to an education trust for Jordan Muche.

Henry F. Klink
Henry F. Klink, 92, of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, March 2, 2001, at Hillside Manor Nursing Home, Beaver Dam.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter's ‚atholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Daniel Massie will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Klink was born on Jan. 4, 1909, in Hewitt, the son of Peter J. and Clara (Troeller) Klink. He was married
on June 29, 1935, to Marie Kastenmeier in Beaver Dam.
Mr. Klink worked at Malleable Iron Range, Beaver Dam, for 35 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, had been active in the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Knights, was a member of the Roamer Club, the Riff-Raft Club and assisted with Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include three daughters, Ann (Lewis) Maas, Beaver Dam, Carol (Dennis) Heyne, Wausau, and Judy (Jerry) Lange, Toddville, Iowa; one son, Paul (Anne) Klink, Hailey, Idaho; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Veronica (Edward) Hilbert, Mayville; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Klink; an infant son, Henry John Klink; one brother, Erwin Klink, and two sisters, Leona Lenz Roedl, and Elsie Heimerl.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 6, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, where a vigil service will be held at 6 p.m., and on Wednesday, March 7, until 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Unified Catholic Parish Schools endowment fund.
Raymond C. Prechel

Lillian E. Schmutzler
Lillian E. Schmutzler, 93, of 329 Park Ave., Beaver Dam, died on Monday, March 5, 2001.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at 11 a.m., at Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Jack Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
Mrs. Schmutzler was born on April 17, 1907, in the township of Lowell, the daughter of Fred W. and Louise M. (Matthes) Gensch. She was married
on Aug. 22, 1942, to Eugene F. Schmutzler.
Mrs. Schmutzler attended the Pleasant High School in the township of Lowell, moving to Beaver Dam in the fall of 1920. She was a 1924 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. For many years she served as recording secretary of the Dodge County Chapter of the American Red Cross, and was with the Dodge County Concert Association, serving in membership drives from the Chapter's inception in 1947. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, taught Sunday school, belonged to the former Circle II Fellowship and was past deacon and former president of the Presbyterian Women's Association. She was on the board of the local unit of Church Women United, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, and involved with the Helping Hand Auxiliary of the Dodge County Health Facilities. She was past assistant secretary of AARP Chapter No. 1005, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Constellation Chapter 176, which is now consolidated with Waupun Chapter 144, and past matron. She worked for 28 years as secretary at Kirsh Foundry Inc., formerly F. Rassmann Mfg. Co., and after retirement, returned for three more years of service.
Survivors include three cousins, Gertrude Sutton, and Raymond Gensch Sr., both of Beaver Dam, and Alma Prochaska, Lyons, Ill; close friend, Kenneth Krenz, Beaver Dam; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Gensch, in 1952; her father, Fred Gensch, in 1956; and her husband, Eugene Schmutzler, in 1977.
Friends may call on Wednesday, March 7, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam.
Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam, or the charity of one's choice.

FALL RIVER - Dorothy K. Steel, 81, of Fall River, died on Saturday, March 3, 2001, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fall River. The Rev. James L. Bolda will officiate. Burial will be in the Fall River cemetery.

Opal M. Nyka
Opal M. Nyka, 84, of Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, March 4, 2001, at Continental Manor, Randolph.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 2:30 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Eileen Kuehnl will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens town of Trenton.
Mrs. Nyka was born on Aug. 10, 1916, in Markesan, the daughter of George and Minnie (Gensch) Hare. She was married
on March 15, 1934, to Ralph Nyka in Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Nyka was a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Beaver Dam.
Survivors include one son, Ralph (Janis) Nyka, Beaver Dam; four daughters, Georgia (Gordon) Kasmiskie, and Corrine Jones, both of Cambria, Carol Nyka, Beaver Dam, and Linda (James) Geiger, Columbus; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Nyka; one sister, Phyllis Tullis; and one brother, Alden "Jim" Hare.

Debra D. Hiebert
Debra Diane Hiebert, 39, Beaver Dam, died on Friday, March 2, 2001, at her parents home in Plainview, Minn., after a battle with cancer.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 8, at 11 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Plainview, Minn. The Rev. David Frederickson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, Plainview, Minn.
Ms. Hiebert was born on Aug. 14, 1961, in Starbuck.
Ms. Hiebert was a 1979 graduate of Plainview High School. She attended Rochester Community College, earning a certificate in child development. She worked as a seamstress in Beaver Dam for many years, returning to Plainview, Minn., in November 2000, due to ill health.
Survivors include two sons, Paul and Nicholas Herndon, Plainview, Minn.; father and step-mother, Dr.James (Lori) Hiebert, Plainview, Minn.; two brothers, Dr. Steven (Sherry) Hiebert, Roseville, Minn., and Jeffrey (Raedean) Hiebert, Hopkins, Minn.; half-brother, James W. Hiebert, Plainview, Minn.; two step-sisters, Suzanne and Mary Rother, Plainview, Minn.; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and one infant brother.

Merlin A. Keyser
Merlin A. Keyser, 76, of W8046 Highway B, Beaver Dam, died on Monday, March 5, 2001, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 8, at 11 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Greg Jewison will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 146.
Mr. Keyser was born on May 26, 1924, in Beaver Dam, the son of Arthur H. and Verna (Muehle) Keyser. He was married
on Sept. 13, 1947, to Jane R. Hron at Trinity United Methodist Church, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Keyser was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. He was the manager of the order department at Monarch Range for 36 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Beaver Dam and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served from 1945 to 1948.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Keyser, Beaver Dam; four sisters-in-law, Mary Pierce, Tempe, Ariz., Rosemary Smith, and Ruth (Donald) Hiley, both of Beaver Dam, and Patricia (David) Schade, Phoenix; one brother-in-law, Charles (Carol) Hron, Beaver Dam; one godchild, Lisa (Pat) Berry, Madison; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives.

Patricia K. Wild
MAYVILLE - Patricia K. "Pat" Wild, 67, of 777 Emmer St., Mayville, died on Monday, March 5, 2001, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 8, at 9:30 a.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville, for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Mayville.
Mrs. Wild was born on Oct. 19, 1933, in Lomira, the daughter of Edwin and Mary Ellen (Darmody) Mies. She was married
on May 9, 1953, to Robert F. Wild at Fort Sill, Okla.
Mrs. Wild was a 1951 graduate of West Bend High School, later graduating from Dodge County Normal School. She taught in the West Bend area, Mayville Public School and St. Mary's Catholic School, Mayville. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville. She found her greatest joy spending time with family and friends. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Wild, Mayville; three daughters, Laurie (Ken) Hartwig, Pinedale, Wyo., Connie (Arlin) Sawyer, Panguitch, Utah, and Terry (Jim) Reichl, Franklin; one son, Michael (Jen) Wild, White Lake; mother-in-law, Theresa Wild, Mayville; one sister, Marion Heldt, West Bend; nine grandchildren, Garrett, McKenzie, Brett, Jenna, Halie, John, Nicholas, Jessica and Summit; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
