Arllys F. Schumann
APPLETON - Arllys F. Schumann, 93, of the Rennes Health Center, Appleton, formerly of 230 Grand Blvd., Mayville, died on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at the health center.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. Christal Bindrich will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Mayville.
Mrs. Schumann was born on Sept. 29, 1907, in Tomah, the daughter of George and Myrtle (Bigelow) Falkner. She was married
on Nov. 22, 1930, to Herbert "Hep" Schumann in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mrs. Schumann was a graduate of Tomah High School, she also graduated from Milwaukee State National School (now UW-Milwaukee). After moving to Mayville in 1928, she taught kindergarten for over 26 years. She taught 1,390 of Mayville's young children, retiring in June of 1969. She was a former member of Mayville United Methodist Church, a charter member and past president of the Mayville American Legion Auxiliary, past president of the Methodist Women's Society, a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader. She lived in Mayville until 1990, when she moved to Appleton.
Survivors include two daughters, Meredith (Gail) Castor, Redwood Falls, Minn., and Donna (Stanley) Almloff, Shawnee, Kan.; one son, George F. (Joanne) Schumann, Appleton; two sisters, Orlou F. Daniels, Tomah, and Junie (Robert) Nicol, New Auburn; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, in 1988; eight brothers-in-law; and seven sisters-in-law.
Friends may call on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville.
Memorials may be made to the Mayville White Limestone School Museum.
Rita A. Boeder
MAYVILLE - Rita A. Boeder, 84, of 255 S. John St., Mayville, died on Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 6:30 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Mayville.
Mrs. Boeder was born on Nov. 24, 1916, in Mayville, the daughter of Phillip F. and Kathryn (Braun) Lacey. She was married
on Sept. 19, 1943, to Milton Boeder in Mayville.
Mrs. Boeder was a 1935 graduate of Mayville High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville, a member of St. Mary's Christian Women and a member of the Legion of Mary. She was a devoted mother and good friend.
Survivors include her husband, Milton Boeder, Mayville; two daughters, Mary Jo (Ken) Wendorff, Fond du Lac, and Susan (Mike) Daley, West Bend; two sons, James Boeder, and John Boeder, both of Mayville; one sister-in-law, Aurelia Lacey, Mayville; four grandchildren, Leslie (Yaw) Asare, Appleton, Lynnan Wendorff, Madison, William Wendorff, Milwaukee, and Erin Daley, West Bend; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Asare; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Lacey; and one granddaughter, Laurie.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville.

Brendan M. Braker
Brendan Matthew Braker, infant, 125 Gould St., Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
A private family service will be held. The Rev. Dan Massie will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Infant Braker was the son of Matthew and Janice (Blank) Braker.
Survivors include his parents, Matthew and Janice Braker, Beaver Dam; maternal grandparents, Jerold (Joanne) Blank, Waupun; paternal grandparents, Gerald (Karen) Braker, Beaver Dam; paternal great-grandparents, Robert (Vivian) Schoenrock, Columbus; nine uncles; seven aunts; 20 cousins; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents.

Isabel Lerma
WEST COVINA, CALIF - Isabel Lerma, 71, a resident of West Covina, Calif., formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Queen of The Valley Hospital, West Covina, Calif.
A private family service will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Lerma was born on Dec. 22, 1928, in Gonzales, Texas, the daughter of Miguel and Maria Garcia.
Mrs. Lerma was a devoted mother and homemaker who resided in the Beaver Dam area for many years.
Survivors include her children, Juan (Midi) Loyo, American Fork, Utah, Sylvia Loyo, West Covina, Calif., Jovita Hanson, Waupaca, Miguel (Alex) Garcia, Zion, Ill., and Javier (Connie) Garcia, Arturo (Anne) Garcia and Leticia (Luis) De La Cruz, all of Beaver Dam; 28 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and her sisters.

Oscar L. Bentz
HORICON - Oscar L. Bentz, 74, formerly of Horicon, died on Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, in Stoughton.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon. The Rev. Daniel Seehafer will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery, Horicon.
Mr. Bentz was born on July 4, 1926, the son of Oscar and Lily (Baertschy) Bentz.
Survivors include one brother, Willis Bentz, Wausau; one sister, Geraldine (Bob) Blankenheim, Horicon; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Howard and Roman; and one sister, Arleen Miller.

Mary R. Ladwig
OCONTO FALLS - Mary R. Ladwig, 98, formerly of Waupun, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at Oconto Falls.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Don Eack will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery, Waupun.
Mrs. Ladwig was born on Aug. 12, 1902, in Sheboygan Falls, the daughter of Eugene and Mattie (Dunn) Owen. She was married
in 1928, to Leonard Ladwig in Sheboygan Falls.
Mrs. Ladwig and her husband moved to Waupun where Mary was a teacher in elementary education and taught in various locations, especially Washington School. She was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge, the Waupun Hospital Auxiliary and the Union Congregational Church, Waupun. She enjoyed golfing and reading during her retirement.
Survivors include two nephews, Rev. Don Eack, and Thad (Mary) Eack, both of Menomonee, Mich.; one great-niece, Crystal Eack; two great-nephews, Kenneth Eack and David Eack; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, in 1964, and one step-son, Eugene Cramer.

Mildred L. Thwaits, 88
WATERTOWN - Mildred L. Thwaits, 88, formerly of 1009 Vine St., Watertown, died on Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m., at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Watertown. The Pastor Richard L. Thompson will officiate. Family burial will be in Lowell cemetery.
Mrs. Thwaits was born on May 7, 1912, in the town of Lowell, the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Galoff) Rennhack. She was married
to Howard Prentise and then to Edward Thwaits.
Mrs. Thwaits was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one sister, Verona Rennhack, Barrett House, Fox Lake; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; her husband, Edward; four brothers, and five sisters.

Marcella I. Wendorf
WAUPUN - Marcella I. Wendorf, 93, of 610 Park St., Waupun, died on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Beverly Terrace Nursing Home, Watertown.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m., at the Hafemeister Funeral Home. The Rev William Heiges will officiate. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery, Watertown.
Mrs. Wendorf was born on Aug. 11, 1907, in the town of Shields, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Rusch) Hoppe. She was married
on May 24, 1942, to John Wendorf at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, in Richwood.
Mrs. Wendorf and her husband were residents of the Ashippun area, moving to Waupun in 1949, where they made their home for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Watertown, and a former member of Pella Lutheran Church, Waupun. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener.
Survivors include three sisters, Alice Voss, Anna Kassube and Nora Schoenherr, all of Watertown; one sister-in-law, Hazel Hoppe, Watertown; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wendorf, on May 18, 2000; four sisters, Cora Hoppe, Myrtle Hoppe, Loretta Schlage and Ellen Schoenherr; two brothers, Dewey Hoppe and George Hoppe; and a sister and brother in infancy.

Norma A. Strehlow
LOMIRA - Norma A. Strehlow, 75, of Lomira, formerly of 202 N. Main St., Iron Ridge, died on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lomira.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m., at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge. The Rev. Larry Mose will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew's cemetery, Iron Ridge.
Mrs. Strehlow was born on May 1, 1925, in the town of Herman, the daughter of Walter and Thekla (Quandt) Schulz. She was married
on Nov. 6, 1948, to Hillary Strehlow at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Huilsburg.
Mrs. Strehlow was a member of St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge, a member of St. Matthew's Ladies Aid and a member of Happy Herman Homemakers.
Survivors include her husband, Hillary Strehlow; one son, Greg (Meridee) Strehlow, Fond du Lac; two daughters, Dorothy (Alvin E.) Loest, Mayville, and Patti Buechel, Juneau; two brothers, Armin (Gladys) Schulz, Mayville, and Elmer (Elaine) Schulz, Rubicon; two sisters-in-law, Frances Strehlow, Ashippun, and Myrtle Luhn, Theresa; one aunt, Hilda Twardokus, Hartford; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Brian.

Albert Zunker
WYOCENA - Albert Zunker, 93, formerly of Columbus, died on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Columbia County Health Care Center.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m., at the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate. Burial will be in Otsego cemetery.
Mr. Zunker was born on June 1, 1907, in Fort Winnebago, the son of Otto and Lena (Holmes) Zunker. He was married
on Dec. 15, 1939, to Erma Keip.
Mr. Zunker was a farmer and worked for Kaasa Seed Co., Columbus, for 34 years.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Zunker, Wyocena; one daughter, Marlene (Jim) Blank, Minocqua; three sons, Harvey Zunker, Denver, Colo., Donald (Donna) Zunker, Little Suamico, and David (Mary Ann) Zunker, Oshkosh; four grandchildren; three brothers, Ambrose Zunker, Fond du Lac, Harold Zunker, Pardeeville, and Wallace (Audrey) Zunker, Poynette; one sister, Bernice (Floyd) Milke, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Loretta, Louise and Hildred; and two brothers, Elmer and Royal.
