Ervin R. Beilfuss
Ervin R. Beilfuss, 70, of 924 Prospect Ave., Beaver Dam. died on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m., at First Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Dave Bitler will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton. Military graveside services will be conducted by the John E. Miller American Legion Post No. 146 of Beaver Dam.
Mr. Beilfuss was born on March 13, 1930, in Horicon, the son of Ervin and Elizabeth (Rake) Beilfuss. He was married
on Feb. 7, 1953, to Eleanor Pinnow in Beaver Dam.
Mr. Beilfuss was a longtime resident of Beaver Dam, and a 1948 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a retired employee of John Deere Horicon Works. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, and the John E. Miller American Legion Post No. 146 of Beaver Dam. He was a quiet man who was thoughtful and caring to his family, especially his loving wife of 47 years, Eleanor, and his granddaughter, Jessica.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Beilfuss, Beaver Dam; his granddaughter, Jessica (Rich) Wellner, Knoxville, Tenn.; two brothers, Don Beilfuss, Beaver Dam, and Ken (Fran) Beilfuss, Horicon; his mother-in-law, Martha Pinnow, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law; and one son, Gregory Beilfuss.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., at First Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, and on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 9 a.m. until the time of service, at the church.
Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church building fund, or the American Heart Association.

Harlyn L. Verhage
MADISON - Harlyn L. Verhage, 68, of Madison, died on Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m., at Crossroads Church, 3815 S. Dutch Mill, Madison. The Rev. Larry Van Essen will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial cemetery, Monona.
Mr. Verhage was born on April 24, 1932, in Waupun, the son of Lawrence and Henrietta (Bossenbroek) Verhage. He was married
on June 11, 1954, to Ruth A. Nyhuis.
Mr. Verhage served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1953. He worked for the state of Wisconsin for 26 years, retiring from the Department of Administration. He was a member of Crossroads Church, serving many years as an elder. He was very active in all activities of the church. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Verhage, Madison; two sons, Stephen (Marcia) Verhage, and Timothy (Kimberlee) Verhage, both of Madison, one daughter, Ellen (Paul) Rosowski, Stoughton; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Eleanor (Alfred) Kleveno, Oklahoma City, Okla., Donald (Mary) Verhage, Randolph, Thomas (Laurel) Verhage, Eden Prairie, Minn., and Pat (Howard) Loomans, Barbara (Dick) Herringa, and Randall (Jan) Verhage, all of Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gerald Warren
WAUPUN - Gerald "Butch" Warren, 79, of Waupun, died on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Shelly Schultz will officiate. A private burial will be held at Calvary cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Warren was born on Feb. 5, 1921, in Lynn, the son of Franklin and Ida (Gransse) Warren. He was married
on June 21, 1969, to Ola Laurea Van Hierden in Fond du Lac.
Mr. Warren attended schools in both Rosendale and Ripon as he grew up. He had his own shoe repair shop in Ripon and then worked at Speed Queen in Ripon for 21 years. He later worked with Roy Brooks at Brooks Shoe Store and Lauer's Foods, both in Waupun. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 43 in Ripon where he was both a post and county commander. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 210 in Waupun. He had a great love of fishing, gardening, sports, bowling and playing with children.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Laurea, Waupun; three sons, Larry (Kathy) Warren, Freemont, Spencer (Vali) Warren, Stoughton, and Keith (Kate) Warren, Green Lake, one daughter, Tamara (Terry) Liptow, Ripon; two step-daughters, Laraine "Pat" Navis, Waupun, and Jeanne (Vern) Leis, Watertown; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Dorthea Bradley, Ripon; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; one step-son, and three granddaughters.

Reta M. Green
COLUMBUS - Reta M. Green, 57, of 104 Hillside Lane, Columbus, died on Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at UW Hospital, Madison, following a recent kidney transplant.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus. The Revs. Bruce Hennington and Denise Cole will officiate. Burial will be in Fall River cemetery.
Mrs. Green was born on Sept. 18, 1943, in Beaver Dam, to James and Lucille (Hatzinger) Klipstein. She was married
on June 9, 1962, to Arthur J. Green in Lost Lake.
Mrs. Green lived most of her life in the Randolph-Cambria area and was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur J. Green Sr., Columbus; five daughters, Teresa (Randy) Vick and Lucille (Mike) Vick, both of Columbus, Susan (Elmer) Bergmann, Ixonia, Patricia (Mark) Jacob, Columbus, and Shirley (Terry) Jahn, Fox Lake; three sons, Arthur (Carrie) Green Jr., Columbus, Michael (Amanda) Green, Cambria, and Ed (Sandy) Green, Appleton; 16 grandchildren; three sisters, Ila Harder, International Falls, Minn., Beverly (Mark) Kautzky, Madison, Cindy (Randy) Schultz, Racine; two brothers, James (Marge) Klipstein, Jacksonville, Fla., and Arlie (Jean) Klipstein, Pardeeville; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law.

Allen H. Luedtke
HORICON - Allen H. Luedtke, 61, of rural Horicon, died on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at his home.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon. The Rev. Daniel Seehafer will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Horicon American Legion Post No. 157.
Mr. Luedtke was born on Feb. 28, 1939, in the town of Herman, the son of Marvin and Mary Ann (Kasza) Luedtke. He was married
to Darlene Anderson. He was married
on Sept. 13, 1980, to Mary Brabant in Horicon.
Mr. Luedtke lived in the Horicon area most of his life. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School. He served in the U.S. Army for three years and worked at John Deere Horicon Works for over 32 years. He was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon.
Survivors include one son, Michael Luedtke, Horicon; two brothers, Wayne (Diane) Luedtke, Beaver Dam, and Jerry (Michelle) Luedtke, Michigan; the mother of his son, Mary Simpson, Horicon; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Darlene, in 1977; and one brother, Roger, in 1979.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon.

Minnie Kamphuis
WAUPUN - Minnie Kamphuis, 92, a resident of the Christian Home, Waupun, died on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at the home.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m., at Alto Reformed Church. The Revs. Ted Lindman and Ted Medema will officiate. Burial will be in Alto cemetery.
Mrs. Kamphuis was born on April 4, 1908, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Gerrit and Jeannie (TeBeest) Schouten. She was married
on March 14, 1935, to Garret J. Kamphuis in Alto.
Mrs. Kamphuis and her husband farmed in the Brandon area all their married
life, where she lived until moving to the Christian Home in 1997.
Survivors include three sons, Jerome (Joan) Kamphuis, Appleton, and Glen (Darlene) Kamphuis and Jim (Charlene) Kamphuis, both of Brandon; one daughter, Marilyn Kamphuis, Waupun; 12 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 18 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve Schouten and Marie Westerveld, both of Waupun; two sisters-in-law, Dean Schouten and Junice Kamphuis, both of Waupun; one brother-in-law, Otto Kamphuis, Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garret, on Sept. 10, 1992; two brothers; one sister; and one step-great-grandson.
Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m., and on Friday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at Alto Reformed Church.

Darlene E. Schultz
Darlene E. Schultz, 73, of 212 E. Industrial Drive, Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at her home.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, at noon, at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. John Breitwisch will officiate. Cremation will follow.
Mrs. Schultz was born on July 19, 1927, in Lewiston, the daughter of Lowell and Laura (Bauman) Simonson. She was married
on Nov. 25, 1944, to Edward A. Schultz in Portage.
Mrs. Schultz moved to Beaver Dam in 1979. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. She will be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include one daughter, Valerie (Ted) Klich, Schamburg, Ill.; one son, Vernon (Sue) Schultz, Beaver Dam; one granddaughter, Lynda Schultz; one great-granddaughter, McKensie; two brothers, Rodney (Dorie) Simonson and Harlan (Greta) Simonson, both of Portage; four sisters, Loraine Freund, Beaver Dam, Maxine Furman, Wyocena, Lucille Schultz, Oxford, and Yvonne (Jim) Boomer, Texas; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward, on Jan. 9, 1998; one great-grandchild, Donte Lee, in May of 2000; and one infant child.

Charles A. Peckham
FRIESLAND - Charles Addison Peckham, 80, of Friesland, died on Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Columbus Community Hospital.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Friesland. The Rev. John Unnasch will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be in Friesland cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the John E. Miller American Legion Post No. 146 of Beaver Dam.
Mr. Peckham was born on April 14, 1920, in Sun Prairie, the son of David Ray and Clara (Fehrman) Peckham. He was married
on Sept. 12, 1992, to Lorraine E. Bobholz at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Friesland.
Mr. Peckham was a graduate of Madison Central High School. He attended the UW-Madison for two years in physical medicine, later graduating from MATC with a major in accounting and office management and a minor in data processing. He joined the U.S. Army in World War II, becoming a tech. sergeant in the Medical Corps, later volunteering for detached duty and was transferred to serve with the paratroopers and special forces. He was engaged in battles in North Africa, Sicily, Anzio, Salerno, Omaha Beach, the Battle of the Bulge and in Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged from the Army and held various accounting positions in the Madison area.
Mr. Peckham was a 17th ward alderman for the city of Madison from 1953 to 1955, a justice of the peace, a foreman for the Badger Ordinance Works and in 1953 became general foreman for the Joliet Arsenal in Joliet, Ill. In 1969 he was certified by IBM as a computer programmer, had worked as an auditor for the State Medical Society of Wisconsin and as a senior auditor for Olin Industrie's Badger Ordinance Works.
While Mr. Peckham was working as a custodian of East High School in 1976, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. After three years of treatment and in remission, he became involved in founding the state chapter "Living With Cancer." In the years of 1980 to 1984, he became a registered master gardener through the UW-Extension Division. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union (AFL-CIO) serving as secretary for their arbitration committee, was president of the Local No. 60 of Madison Municipal Works Union in 1976, was past associate member of the National Archives in Washington D.C., past commander of the Mission Assembly legislative director for the Wisconsin Veteran's Council and past president of the Allied Veteran Council of Dane County.
Mr. Peckham and his wife lived in Friesland for the last eight years. He was a member of the John E. Miller American Legion Post No. 146, Beaver Dam, and a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Friesland.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Peckham, Friesland, three sons, John, Steven and David; one daughter, Ann; two grandsons; one granddaughter; one step-granddaughter; two sister, Yvonne (James) Thompson, North Leeds, and Shirley Johnson, Reynoldsburg, Ohio; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, and four sisters.

Carole Jones
COLUMBUS - Carole Jones, 84, of 123 Parkview Circle, Columbus, died on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Columbus Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. Tim Driskell will officiate.
Mrs. Jones was born on Sept. 2, 1916, in Parkin, Ark., the daughter of Charles and Julia (Shissler) Wilcoxon. She was married
on June 28, 1941, to Gwyn Jones in Chicago.
Mrs. Jones was a resident of Broadview, Ill. for 53 years, where she was a charter member of the Broadview Wesleyan Church. She was a secretary at Continental Casualty in Chicago for 10 years, then spent the remaining years of her life as a homemaker. She was active in her church and community, being a Columbus resident since 1994.
Survivors include three daughters, Tana (Vernon) Hoaglund, Clifton, Ill., Charmain (Rev. Laval) Suiter, Columbus, and Diana (Gary) Nottingham, West Chicago; one son, Dennis Jones, Arizona; five grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Bertha Wilcoxon, DuQuoin, Ill.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gwyn; two brothers, Lee and Joseph; and one sister, Louis Cray.
