Hazel R. McElroy
MAYVILLE - Hazel R. McElroy, 85, of 338 N. Main St., Mayville, died on Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. Christal Bindrich will officiate. Inurnment will be in Graceland cemetery, Mayville.
Mrs. McElroy was born on April 1, 1915, in Mayville, the daughter of Oscar and Florence (Bobzin) Voss. She was married
on Jan. 26, 1959, to Charles T. McElroy in Milwaukee.
Mrs. McElroy was employed as a secretary for 30 years at Standard Oil/Amoco of Indiana. She was a member of the Mayville Golf Club.
Survivors include one aunt, Blanch Ziegler, Mayville; three nephews, John (Kathy) Osborne, Menomonee Falls, Stephen Osborne, Marathon, Fla., and Mark Osborne, Minneapolis; two grand-nieces; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; and one sister, Jane, in 1978.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 7 p.m. until the time of service, at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville.
Charles Berke
Charles "Don" Berke, Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, is serving the family.
Elsie Henkel
MARKESAN - Elsie Henkel, 83, of W2346 Kearley Road, Markesan, formerly of Mayville and Juneau, died on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at Ripon Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 3:30 p.m., at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Juneau. Burial will be in Juneau Community cemetery.
Mrs. Henkel was born on May 1, 1917, in Aiken, Minn., the daughter of Herbert and Sadie (Toms) Tarr. She was married
on Dec. 17, 1949, to Norbert R. Henkel in Juneau.
Mrs. Henkel was a 1935 graduate of Randolph High School. She was devoted to the Mayville Cub Scouts, first as a den mother in 1962, later as secretary and treasurer for over 10 years. She and her husband owned and operated a tavern in Juneau for 17 years.
Survivors include her husband, Norbert Henkel, Markesan; six sons, Ronald (Marsha) Henkel, Mayville, David (Debbie Kintopp) Henkel, Juneau, Larry Henkel, Horicon, Charles Henkel, Beaver Dam, Daniel (Pam) Henkel, Bagley, and Richard (Tina) Henkel, Markesan; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton and Floyd Tarr.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 1 p.m. until the time of service, at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Juneau.
John Meyer
RANDOLPH - John Meyer, 76, of 500 High St., Randolph, formerly of N8224 Stoney Point Road, Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at the Continental Manor Assisted Living Center.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m., at the First Reformed Church, Randolph. The Rev. Calvin Vande Zande will officiate. Burial will be in Randolph cemetery.
Mr. Meyer was born on April 28, 1924, in Highland, Ind., the son of Klass and Jenny (De Young) Meyer. He was married
on Aug. 15, 1950, to Josephine Boender.
Mr. Meyer was a resident of the Randolph area since 1971, where he owned and operated a local farm before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the First Reformed Church, Randolph, where he served as an elder. He enjoyed his home on Beaver Dam Lake where he fished often, he also enjoyed traveling and the morning coffee hour.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Meyer, Randolph; one daughter, Sarah (Jake Jr.) Hoffman, Randolph; two sons, Nicholas (Mary) Meyer, and Joe (Jaci) Meyer, both of Randolph; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Winger, Rockford, Ill., Margaret (Arnold) Swart, Cambria, and Jeanette (Joe) Roorda, De Motte, Ind.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joe Meyer; two half-brothers, William and Carl Meyer; and one half-sister, Mary Theil.
Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 16, at the time of service, at the First Reformed Church, Randolph. There will be no visitation before the service, however, friends are invited to join the family immediately following the service for a luncheon and fellowship in the church hall.
The Randolph Community Funeral Home is serving the family.
Zilda Tavs
BRANDON - Zilda Tavs, 91, of Brandon, died on Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Alto Reformed Church, Alto. The Revs. Ted Lindman and Ted Medema will officiate. Burial will be in Brandon cemetery.
Mrs. Tavs was born on Sept. 22, 1909, in Litchville, N.D., the daughter of Tom and Minnie (Straks) Boom. She was married
on Sept. 12, 1929, to Lawrence Tavs in Alto.
Mrs. Tavs and her husband farmed in the Brandon area for 54 years. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Brandon Senior Center and enjoyed gospel music. She was a member of the Alto Reformed Church.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Marilyn) Tavs, Brandon, and Lynn (Fern) Tavs, Waupun; three daughters, Marilyn (Henry) Coehoorn, Rosendale, Marlene (Preston) Koentop, Donna, Texas, and Ardys Janke, Ripon; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Angeline Tavs, Brandon, and Joy Boom, Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, in 1983; two brothers, Delwin and Avyle Boom; two sons-in-law, Howard Redeker and Donald Janke; one brother-in-law, Wilton Tavs; and one sister-in-law, Aletia Stelsel.
Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Friday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m until the time of service, at the Alto Reformed Church.
Gene R. Belott
Gene R. Belott, 47, of N7697 Indian Hills Trail, Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Daniel Massie will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Belott was born on Nov. 20, 1952, in Beaver Dam, the son of Richard and Alice (Nelson) Belott. He was married
on June 14, 1975, to Susan McDermott in Beaver Dam.
Mr. Belott was a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam, and a 1971 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. He worked at TAB Products, Lomira, Power King, Beaver Dam, and most recently as a manufacturing engineer at Helgesen Inc., Hartford. He was a former disc jockey at Tubby's and Fletch's in Beaver Dam, and was a drummer in numerous bands. He was a member of the ASQ quality control professional organization.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Belott, Beaver Dam; four cousins, Frank (Char) Belott, Round Lake Beach, Ill., Armin Broderdorf, and Beverly Broderdorf, both of Fall River, and Jeanette (Eugene) Schmidt, Beaver Dam; one aunt, Helen Schultz, Fall River; mother-in-law, Joyce (Archie) Moore, Largo, Fla.; brother-in-law, Michael (Kim) McDermott, Columbus, Ind.; sister-in-law, Lisa Schwarzenbacher, Beaver Dam; four nephews, Jesse, Joey, Brock and Ryan; other cousins, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Richard McDermott; aunts and uncles.

Edythe C. Boutwell
COLUMBUS - Edythe C. Boutwell, 90, formerly of Rio, died on Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at the Columbus Center.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m., at the New Vangen Funeral Home, Rio. The Rev. Teri L. Forbes will officiate. Burial will be in Bonnet Prairie cemetery, near Rio.
Mrs. Boutwell was born on Jan. 19, 1910, in New Rockford, N.D. She was married
on June 15, 1942, to Peter O. Boutwell in Dubuque.
Mrs. Boutwell was a member of Bonnet Prairie Lutheran Church, near Rio.
Survivors include one niece; five nephews; one sister-in-law; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, on Feb. 18, 1995; one sister, Norma McMahon; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and one niece.

Mary Raddatz
WAUPUN - Mary Raddatz, 77, of 601 S. Grove St., Waupun, died on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, while visiting her son in Columbia, Tenn.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Ron Markwart will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Trenton.
Mrs. Raddatz was born on Aug. 30, 1923, in Saxville, the daughter of James and Alice (Miller) Nelson. She was married
in 1944, to Ervin Raddatz in Waupun.
Mrs. Raddatz and her husband lived their entire married
life in Waupun. She was a former employee of National Rivet, Waupun. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun and a contributor to feed the children.
Survivors include three sons, Ervin (Myrna) Raddatz, Hohenwald, Tenn., and Robert (Carol) Raddatz, and Mark Raddatz, both of Waupun; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Olson, Oshkosh, and Gracie (Wayne) Ice, Joliet, Ill.; two brothers, Lee (Polly) Nelson, Keltner, and Phillip Nelson, Wild Rose; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, in 1983; two brothers; and one sister.

Delbert L. Pulver
RIO - Delbert L. "Deb" Pulver, 78, of Rio, died on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, peacefully in his sleep, at his home.
The funeral was held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., at the New Vangen Funeral Home, Rio. The Rev. C. Keith Epps officiated. Burial was in the Ohio cemetery, with military rites.
Mr. Pulver was born on Jan. 15, 1922, in Rio, the son of Dewey and Pearl (Waters) Pulver. He was married
on June 22, 1944, to Gladys Wiesshoff in Portage.
Mr. Pulver attended Rio High School. He served in the Marines in World War II. He was a truck driver for over 46 years. Truck driving was not only his livelihood but his passion as well. He often said "I've been around the world 500 times" and he really had with many years of travel. Besides his truck driving he also enjoyed reading, particularly financial publications such as Fortune Magazine, Business Week and The Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Pulver was a member of the Rio Legion. He was very patriotic, often commenting on how he appreciated this country and what it meant to him. He loved his family very much. Even though he was on the road a great deal, he was doing it for his family.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Pulver, of Rio; two sons, Ronald (Sandy) Pulver, Cambria, and John (Theresa) Pulver, Columbus; five daughters, Diane Voth and Susan Pulver, both of Rio, Debra Mc Farlane, Beaver Dam, Linda Pulver, Madison, and Barbara Pulver, Three Lakes; two brothers, Robert (Verna) Pulver, Portage, and Vernon Pulver, Rio; two sisters, Jean (Gene "Red") Ritter, Rio, and Shirley Cornford, Portage; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alvin; twin great-grandsons, Matthew and Toby; and two nieces, Kay and Ann.
Friends called on Friday, Nov. 10, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the New Vangen Funeral Home, Rio.

Vernon H. Henning
GREEN LAKE - Vernon H. Henning, 57, of Green Lake, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at home after a short battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Bethel Reformed Church, Brandon. The Rev. LeRoy Bunder will officiate. Burial will be in Brandon cemetery.
Mr. Henning was born on Aug. 19, 1943, in Fond du Lac, the son of Harold and Margaret (Danne) Henning. He was married
to Sharon L. Koehn in Fond du Lac, on Nov. 9, 1982.
Mr. Henning graduated from the Brandon High School in 1961. He was a member of the Brandon Fire Department and the Brandon Snow Cubs.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon, Green Lake; his mother, Margaret Henning, Brandon; three sons, Douglas Henning, Markesan, Daniel (Wendy Spiegelberg) Henning, Green Lake, and Todd (Elizabeth Keller) Henning, Brandon; two daughters, Amy (Mark) Hanson, Mosinee and Vicki (William) Guell, Brandon; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Connie (Dennis) Dahlke, Brandon and Cindy (Joseph) Perry, Rosendale; four brothers, Bruce (Lenora) Henning, Alto, Gary (Bonnie) Henning, Dale (Dawn), and Vance (Mary), all of Brandon; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and one nephew, Coy Henning.
