Dorothy L. Erke
Dorothy L. Erke, 88, of Sylvan Crossings, Monroe St., Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m., at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. Phillip Heyer will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Mayville.
Mrs. Erke was born on Dec. 18, 1911, the daughter of Louie and Louise (Tugen) Otto. She was married
to Clarence P. Erke, on Oct. 19, 1935, in Mayville.
Mrs. Erke was employed by Products Miniature in Pewaukee. She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Fechhelm, Mayville, Carol (Marvin) Mueller, Beaver Dam, and Nancy (Russell) Kellum, Tucson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1991; four sisters; one brother; one grandson, Allen, and one son-in-law, Leo.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. until the time of service, at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville.
Helen R. Lemke
Helen R. Lemke, 65, of 814 MacArthur Drive, Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Hillside Manor Nursing Home, Beaver Dam.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m., at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Paul Lindau will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden, township of Trenton. Eagles Ladies Auxiliary service will be Monday, at 4:45 p.m., at Koepsell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lemke was born on Sept. 23, 1934, in Burnett, the daughter of Fred and Elsie (Miller) Kienow. She was married
to Lloyd E. Lemke on Dec. 8, 1951, at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Lemke was employed at Green Giant for many years. She was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. She was a member of the retiree's of Green Giant, the Golden Ambassadors, and of the Eagles Aerie Auxiliary No. 1638 F.O.E.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Lemke, Oak Grove, David (Christine) Lemke, Beaver Dam, and Michael (Carol) Lemke, Juneau; one daughter, Patricia (Michael) Brunner, Marietta, Ga.; one brother, John (Katheryn) Kienow, West Baraboo; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Lloyd ,on Feb. 3, 1999.
Friends may call on Monday, Sept. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam; and on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m., at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
Michael A. Jacobs
BROOKFIELD - Michael A. Jacobs, 71, of Brookfield, entered eternal life surrounded by his family, on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, at noon, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Jacobs was born in Beaver Dam and attended St. Thomas Military Academy in St. Paul, Minn. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree from the University of Notre Dame and received both his juris doctor and a masters of business administration from UW-Madison. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in the Judge Advocate General Program.
He worked as an investment professional at the Milwaukee Company, and helped found National Investment Services of America from the Institutional Management Business of Northwestern National Insurance Company.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Jacobs, Brookfield; two daughters, Mary Rossow, Beaver Dam, and Jenny (David) Heckler, Winnetka, Ill.; one son, Michael (Sarah) Jacobs, Wilmette, Ill.; two brothers, Edward Jacobs, and Richard (Martha) Jacobs, both of Beaver Dam; eight grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Myron H. Kranz Sr.
JUNEAU - Myron H. Kranz Sr., 80, a resident of Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau, formerly of 129 Vermont St., Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m., at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Paul Lindau will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.
Mr. Kranz was born on Jan. 13, 1920, in the town of Calamus, the son of Albert W. and Lena (Recheck) Kranz. He was married
to Pauline A. Oestreich, on March 18, 1944, in Beaver Dam.
Mr. Kranz was an eighth grade graduate from the Elder Shade School in the town of Calamus. He was employed as a mechanic at South Randolph Sales and Service retiring in 1990. He was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline, Beaver Dam; his children, Myron "Joe" (Randeen) Kranz Jr, Beaver Dam, Linda (Jack) Yuds, Beaver Dam, and Randall Kranz, Racine; three grandchildren, Holly (Mark) Gerber, Waupun, Tracie (Joe) Garczynski, Waupun, and Tyler Kranz, Beaver Dam; six great-grandchildren, Travis, Ryan, Nicole and Megan Gerber, Waupun, and Hannah and Allyson Garczynski, Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Arthur; and one sister, Eleanor Cummins.

Evelyn H. Koch
MAYVILLE - Evelyn H. Koch, 77, formerly of Mayville, died on Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Clearview South Nursing Home, Juneau.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 2:30 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mayville. The Rev. Bond Haldeman will officiate. Burial will be in the Graceland cemetery, Mayville.
Mrs. Koch was born on Feb. 9, 1923, in Clyman, the daughter of Herman and Alma (Drews) Kintopp. She was married
to Reinhold Koch on June 5, 1949, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Lebanon.
Mrs. Koch and her husband, Reinhold, farmed for many years in the Williamstown area. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mayville, where she belonged to the Altar Guild and Mary Martha Circle.
Survivors include two sons, Franklin (Debra) Koch, Mayville, and Gary C. Koch, Horicon; two daughters, Darlene (Keith) Lodahl, Mayville, and Elaine (Mark) Koenig, Mayville; seven grandchildren, one brother, Albert Kintopp, Watertown; one sister, Elsie Uecker, Juneau; one step-brother, Raymond Qualman, Hartford; two step-sisters, Lorraine Manthey, Mayville and Hertha Gentz, Juneau; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1984; one infant grandson, Aaron Lodahl, and aunt/foster mother, Helen Strook.

Adrian O. Schoenfeld
HORICON - Adrian O. "Bud" Schoenfeld, 78, of Horicon and Lake Placid, Fla., died on Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center, Fond du Lac.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m., at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Horicon. The Rev. Lisa Lombardo will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Schoenfeld was born on Jan. 26, 1922, in Beaver Dam, the son of Oliver and Verna (Gilhardt) Schoenfeld. He married
Carole DeGroff on June 5, 1943, in Beaver Dam. She preceded him in death in 1992. He then married
Mary Jane Rex, on Aug. 14, 1994, in Horicon
Mr. Schoenfeld was a 1939 graduate of the Beaver Dam High School. He farmed in the Horicon area most of his life, and wintered in Lake Placid, Fla. for the past number of years. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Horicon, and its "Young at Heart" group. He was a hard working and dedicated farmer. He bought the farm on Highway E in Horicon, in 1950, and farmed until his retirement, spending his winters in Lake Placid, Fla., and still farmed part-time until 1972. He was a sensitive, caring and generous husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, watching sports, card playing and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Schoenfeld, Horicon, and Lake Placid, Fla.; his daughters, Barbara Young, Beaver Dam, and Lynda Schoenfeld, Eagle River; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Ryan Taylor) Young, Illinois; his step-children, Gene (Leslie) Rex, Pompano Beach, Fla., Mary Ann (Ron) Sternat, Mayville, Judy (Fred) Wackett, Juneau, Susan (Chuck) Kuen, June (Clint) Scheberl, and Jane (Don) Hilgendorf, all of Horicon; 14 step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; one brother, Verlin Schoenfeld, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carole, in 1992; and one sister-in-law, Evelyn Schoenfeld.

Ruth B. Weiglein
Ruth B. Weiglein, 57, of 312 1/2 Haskell St., Beaver Dam, died on Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at her home.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Miss Weiglein was born on April 18, 1943, in Lowell, the daughter of Andrew and Barbara (Linden) Weiglein.
Miss Weiglein was employed at the Weyenberg Shoe Factory, Beaver Dam, for many years. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.
Survivors include one brother, Kenneth (Diana) Wieglein, Hubertus; one sister, Darlene Weiglein, Sun Prairie; one niece, Kristine (Todd) Heckl, Hustisford; one nephew, Dennis (Shari) Wieglein, Nekoosa; one great-niece; great-nephews; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Ralph.

Laura J. Starks
COLUMBUS/MCFARLAND - Laura J. Starks, 85, of 4809 Dale St., McFarland, and formerly of Columbus, died on Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. Ray Miller will officiate. Burial will be in North Deerfield cemetery, Hancock.
Mrs. Starks was born on Feb. 16, 1915, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Kenton and Ella (Ankey) Penrod. She was married
on Aug. 17, 1939, to Nelson Starks in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mrs. Starks and her husband were Columbus area farmers for 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, Nelson Starks, Stoughton; two daughters, Elizabeth (Daniel) Wiese, and Wanda "Wendy" (John) Hougan, both of Stoughton; one son, Robert (Julie Stohr) Starks, Viroqua; seven grandchildren, Timothy (Donna) Wiese, Steven (Georgia) Wiese, Nathan Starks, Nicole Starks, Julia (John) Kimball, Joseph Starks, and Ella Hougan; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ross; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Wiese; one brother, Russell; and four sisters, Florence Penrod, Grace Penrod, Helen Forsyth and Gladys Kellar.

Eric G. Medick
REESEVILLE - Eric G. Medick, 28, of 207 Ruby St., Reeseville, died on Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Reeseville. The Rev. Donald Steinberg will officiate. Burial will be in Reeseville cemetery.
Mr. Medick was born on March 29, 1972, in Fort Atkinson, the son of Thomas and Kathleen (Weller) Medick. He was married
on Aug. 21, 1999, to Beth Boettcher in Reeseville.
Mr. Medick was a resident of Reeseville since 1997. He was a 1990 graduate of Lake Mills High School, worked at Best Built Garages, Marshall, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lake Mills.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Medick, Reeseville; his parents, Tom and Kathy Medick, Onalaska; one sister, Erin (Jeff) Kuykendall, Greenfield; grandfather, Arnold Weller, Lake Mills; mother-in-law, Janice Boettcher, Reeseville; two brothers-in-law, Troy (Melissa) Boettcher, Columbus, and Shawn Boettcher, Beaver Dam; one niece, Hannah Boettcher; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin Medick, Esther Klingbeil and Ruth Weller; and step-grandfather, George Klingbeil.
