Albert J. "Jake" Braun
Albert J. "Jake" Braun, 59, of Jackson, formerly of Sheboygan, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
He was born Nov. 2, 1941, in Sheboygan, to the late Raymond "Jim" and Olive (nee Liebl) Braun.
Jake was the owner and salesman for Braun-Herr Hardware and Appliance, and then worked at Copeland before becoming employed at Colder's, where he was in sales for 16 years.
At the time of his death, he was a building sales consultant at Guyer's Builder Supply in Mequon.
Survivors include a son, Todd (Katie) of Phoenix, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Natalie Braun of Phoenix; his fiancee and friend of over 20 years, Patricia Horvath of Jackson; a sister, Jean (Carl) Schwerman of Brookfield; a brother, James (Bonnie) of Elkhart Lake; members of Patty's family, Robert (Donna) Otto, Todd Otto, Kurt (Kim) Otto, Jackson Otto, all of Bowling Green, Ky.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother Joseph in infancy, and Patty's parents, Albert and Frances Otto.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, at noon at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson, with Daniel Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Claver Cemetery, Sheboygan.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on Saturday from 10 to 11:45 a.m.
The family has requested that memorials be given to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Jake enjoyed doing things for people. Everyone who knew him loved him. He will never be forgotten.
Charles H. "Chuck" Koehler
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Myrhum Patten Funeral Home in West Bend for Charles H. "Chuck" Koehler of Grafton, who died on May 12, 2001 at the age of 57. Burial will be this afternoon in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood.
Mr. Koehler was born on Feb. 13, 1944 in Milwaukee to the late Harry and Alice Koehler. He married Susan Slesarik on June 25, 1966 in Milwaukee. He was employed as the business manager at Sheboygan Retirement Home Beach Health Care Center for the past 15 years.
Survivors include: wife Susan; son Jason (Jamie) Koehler of Cedarburg; mother-in-law Velda Slesarik of Adell; sisters-in-law Wendy Slesarik of Cedarburg, Amy (Daniel) Schommer of Fredonia; brothers-in-law Steven (Virginia) Slesarik of Adell, Daniel (Rachel) Slesarik of Belmont; nieces Ashley Sajdowitz, Jena Slesarik; nephew Scott Sajdowitz.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Virginia Glasser
A funeral service was held yesterday at Immanuel Lutheran Church for Virginia Glasser of Grafton, who died on May 13, 2001, at the age of 80. Burial was at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Glasser was born June 23, 1920 in Cedarburg, daughter of Ervin and Emma (nee Krueger) Jaeger. She married George C. Glasser on April 23, 1941 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Survivors include: husband George C. Glasser of Grafton; daughter Patricia Tumanic of Grafton; former son-in-law Terrence Tumanic of Port Washington; grandchildren Teriann (Dan) Skelton of Grafton, Tanya (James) Vey of Random Lake; great-grandchildren Nicholas and Jacob Skelton of Grafton; sisters Verona Muehleisen of Random Lake, Audrey Erdmann of Cedarburg, Marion Hadler of Minneapolis, Minn.; brother Oliver Jaeger of Wisconsin Rapids; sister-in-law Iona Groth of Grafton.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty Claire Eigner
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend for Betty Claire Eigner of Cedarburg, who died on Dec. 5, 2000, at the age of 78. Father James Strupp will officiate at the ceremony. Phillip Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday following the service.
Mrs. Eigner was born on Aug. 7, 1922 in Milwaukee, daughter of Louis and Jewel Fichaux. She married Lawrence J. Eigner on Dec. 4, 1947 in Milwaukee.
Survivors include: children James (Valerie) Eigner of Arbuts, Md., Robert (Elaine) Eigner of Hillsboro, Kathy (John E.) Schauble of West Bend; grandchildren Vickie and Jamie Eigner of Arbutus, Md., Jennifer Eigner of Hillsboro, John, Andrew and Anthony Schauble of West Bend.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
Arlene K. Buckmaster
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Grafton for Arlene K. Buckmaster who died on May 14, 2001, at the age of 77. Visitation will be at the church from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg immediately following the service. Mueller Funeral Home of Cedarburg is assisting the family.
Mrs. Buckmaster was born Nov. 27, 1923 in Friendship, daughter of the late Fred and Katheryn (nee Sorenson) Quinnell.
Survivors include: husband Lloyd Buckmaster; children LuAnn (Gerald) Kiefer and Quinn A. Pawloski; grandchildren Tiffany, Troy, Casey, Joshua, Quinn Jr., Brett and Jamie; great-grandchildren Jasmine and Theresa; sister Janice (Ray) Kuharski.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Louis Pawloski.
Michael "Mike" Boesch
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Michael "Mike" Boesch, who died May 12, 2001 at the age of 56. Interment will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home Grafton assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Boesch was born in Port Washington, on March 20, 1945 to Franklin and Dolores (nee Woltring) Boesch. He married Jane Kannenberg on June 3, 1967 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Newburg.
Mr. Boesch was a graduate of Cedarburg High School and worked with his father as an auto mechanic in their family business, Grafton Service Station. He also worked for the Cedarburg Police Department and the Cedarburg Public Library for five years.
Survivors include: wife Jane of Grafton; children Todd of Grafton, Kevin (Rebecca) of Grafton and Kristin (Anthony) Lampasona of Shorewood; parents Franklin and Dolores Boesch of Grafton; brother Thomas (Cheryl) of Saukville; sisters-in-law Delores (Edward) Lueders of Cedarburg, Marilyn (Hugo) Gonzalez of Mountain Home, Ark.; brother-in-law Roy (Arlene) Kannenberg of Cedarburg.
He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

Viola A. "Vi" Hope
A private funeral service was held for former Cedarburg resident, Viola A. "Vi" Hope, who died on May 15, 2001 at the age of 97. Krause Funeral Home, Milwaukee, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Hope was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Survivors include: son-in-law Glenn Egelseer; grandchildren Kyle Egelseer, Kim (Susan) Egelseer.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband Lester Hope and daughter Leatrice Egelseer.
Debbie D. Hofer
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton for Debbie D. Hofer (nee Moyle), who died at her Grafton home on May 15, 2001 at the age of 45.
Mrs. Hofer was born in Marquette, Mich. on Feb. 15, 1956 to David and Bertha (nee Johnson) Moyle. She married Scott David Hofer III on Aug. 19, 2000.
Survivors include her husband Scott of Grafton; parents David John Moyle of Marquette, Mich. and Bertha Moyle of Powers, Mich.; brother David W. (Saralee) Moyle of Glandstone, Mich.; sisters Donna J. Kuhn of Phoenix, Suzy Mena of Cancun, Mexico and Darlyn M. Samson of Escanaba, Mich.; father-in-law Scott David (Nancy) Hofer II of Carol Stream, Ill.; mother-in-law Sylvia Hughes of Chicago; brother-in-law Dan Hofer of Franklin Park, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials to the Children’s Cancer Unit at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital would be appreciated.
Lauretta F. Glander
Funeral services were held Sunday evening at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredonia for Saukville resident Lauretta F. Glander, 86, who died May 17, 2001 at St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee.
Rev. Robert Zick officiated, with burial set for today at St. John’s Church Cemetery in Fredonia. The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home of West Bend is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Glander was born July 10, 1914, on the family homestead in the Town of Ashford in Fond du Lac County. She was the daughter of the late John and Meta (nee Faber) Jung. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem United Church of Christ in the Town of Wayne, where she was also married to Milton Glander on Sept. 23, 1939.
The couple farmed in the Town of Saukville, and became members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredonia. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1958.
Mrs. Glander continued farming after her husband’s death, and also drove a school bus for 28 years for the former Valley Bus Co. in Port Washington until retiring in 1979.
She enjoyed needlepoint and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters Mardell Glander of Grafton, Delores (Lee) Bores of Saukville and Grace (William McCaskie) Glander of Apple Valley, Minn.; grandchildren Lynn, John, Julie and Amy Bores, all of Saukville; sister Stella (Hubert) Albert of Iron Ridge; sister-in-law Clara Glander of Milwaukee; brother-in-law Clarence Bretschneider of Newburg; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Erwin.
Richard B. Geske
Funeral services will be held this evening at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Richard B. Geske, 82, of Cedarburg, who died May 17, 2001 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend.
Visitation will be at the church from 4 p.m., with Rev. Wilmer Reichmann to officiate at the 7 p.m. service. Burial will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg. Arrangements are being handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Mr. Geske was born April 2, 1919 in Moline, Ill., son of the late Edward F. and Emma (nee Bream) Geske. He graduated from Milwaukee State Teachers’ College, where he was an outstanding tennis player—finishing as conference champion all the years he was in school. He teams were undefeated in dual meets during is college career.
Mr. Geske was inducted into the UWM Athletic Hall of Fame in 1991.
For 35 years, he shared his love of life and learning, teaching sixth and seventh grades in the Cedarburg School District. He was also an active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Mr. Geske was married for 54 years to his wife, the late Georgette Paulissen. Family members recall his devotion to his wife was a model to all who knew him.
Survivors include daughter Justice Janine (Michael J. Hogan) Geske of Milwaukee; son Mark (Emily) Geske of Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren Mia Berman, Sarah and Kevin Hogan, Amanda and Christopher Geske; other relatives and friends.
Memorials to the Richard and Georgette Geske Scholarship Fund at Marquette University Law School would be appreciated.
