Carrol F. Fraundorf
Carrol F. Fraundorf, 84, of Hartford passed away Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Hartford Memorial Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford. Visitation will be held Monday at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be at St. Kilian Cemetery.
The Shimon Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Esther B. Meiser
A memorial service was held on Sat. May 12, at Lasata Care Center Chapel for Esther B. Meiser who died on May 8, 2001 at the age of 94 yrs. Inurnment will be at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Meiser was born Aug. 31, 1906 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Julius and Louise (nee Wischer) Hausmann.
Survivors include: daughters Ileein (Earl) Gerschke and Sally (the late Eugene) Musbach; granddaughter Judith (Randy) Filter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lasata Care Center or the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.
Gayle A. Kophamel
Former Cedarburg resident Gayle A. Kophamel, 75, died May 6, 2001 in Deltona, Fla.
Mrs. Kophamel was born in Milwaukee, and graduated from Messmer High School. She worked for years as a purchasing agent for the Milwaukee Area Technical College.
A photographer and artist working in watercolors, Mrs. Kophamel was an avid supporter of the Ozaukee County arts community.
Survivors include sons Tom Kophamel of Piscataway, N.J., Jim Kophamel of West Allis, Richard John Kophamel of Deltona, Fla and Robert Kophamel of Kiel; daughter Nancy Brace of DeLand, Fla.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Lankford Funeral Home in Deland, Fla.
Joseph N. Peters
Joseph N. Peters, 42, of West Bend, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 31, 1958, in West Bend, to Robert and Marie (nee Van Beek) Peters, and married Patricia Ann Kahlscheuer on April 25,1981, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend.
He was employed as a machinist at Russell T. Gillman in Grafton and also drove for the Washington County taxi service.
He was an avid sprint car race fan, and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, West Bend Lodge 1398 and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Laura Peters and Kayla Peters, both at home; his mother, Marie Peters of West Bend; five sisters, Ruth (Joseph) Santoro of Kewaskum, Geraldine (Robert) Schladweiler of West Bend, Marilyn (friend Rick Schulze) Stempfel and Chris (Dean) Udovich, both of Sheboygan, Caroline (Darrell) Wodsedalek of West Bend; a brother, Robert (Carol) Peters of West Bend; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Donna Kahlscheuer of West Bend; his grandmother-in-law, Alma Kahlscheuer of West Bend; three sisters-in-law, Diane (Bob) Banaszak of West Bend, Mary Jo (Kim) Eggers of Marshall and Joyce (Keith) Schneider of Deerfield; a brother-in-law, Robert (Sarah) Kahlscheuer of Menomonee Falls; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend.
Rev. Jeffrey Haines will officiate, and burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, West Bend, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Visitation at the church will be Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials for his daughters' college fund are appreciated.

Elsie F. Kreis
Elsie F. Kreis, nee Hirsch, 79, of St. Cloud, formerly of West Bend, died Sunday, May 13,2001, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 13, 1921, in Milwaukee, to the late Ferdinand and Juliana (nee Ertma) Hirsch, and married Robert H. Kreis on Nov. 29, 1944, in Milwaukee.
He passed away on March 8,1979.
Elsie was employed at the Amity Leather Products Co. for 15 years.
After her retirement in 1981, Elsie made her home with her daughter and son-in-law.
Survivors include three children, Robert of Plymouth, Elaine (Thomas) Haendel of St. Cloud and Mike (Jean) of Cascade; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Mary (John) Lochmann of Snohomish, Wash.; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Wanda Washick, and a brother, Otto.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend.
Rev. Victor Hackbarth will officiate, and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services.
Mildred C. Schaeffer
Mildred C. Schaeffer, nee Hansen, 85, of Fond du Lac, formerly of West Bend and Shawano, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at Grancare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac.
She was born June 16, 1915, in Chicago, Ill., to the late George and Jessie (nee Romer) Hansen.
After graduating from high school, she attended Oshkosh State Teacher's College, and for a short time, taught in the Kettle Moraine area near Kewaskum.
Following her marriage to Albert P. Schaeffer on April 15, 1942, at St. Michael's Church in St. Michaels, the couple lived there briefly before moving near Orchard Grove. In 1962, they moved to West Bend, and settled in Shawano in 1969.
For the past two years Mildred has lived in Fond du Lac.
Her husband passed away on Oct. 24, 1983.
Mildred was a Gold Star Mother.
Survivors include three children, Arlene (John) Vixmer of Taycheedah, George of Fond du Lac and Robert (Anna) of St. Kilian; six grandchildren, Annette, David, Dan, Jim, Theresa and Kevin; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two sons, Richard in 1951 and Gerald, killed in action in Vietnam in 1966, and a brother, George Hansen.
Private funeral services were held on Monday, May 14, at 8 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend.
Dan Schroeder officiated, and burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery (old), West Bend.
Gilbert R. Petry
Gilbert R. Petry, 75, of Menomonee Falls, found peace on Sunday, May 13, 2001.
He was the beloved husband of Dolores (nee Stern); devoted father of Gary (Judy), Mary (Dan) Zinda and Daniel; dear grandpa of Ashley and Rory Petry, Callen, Wyatt and Emmett Zinda; brother of Leona Osborne, Florence Daniels, Lorraine Luling, Marion Johnson, Kenneth Petry and the late Alice Petry; brother-in-law of Sylvester Stern, Evelyn Uelmen, Elaine Petry and Shirley Stern. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward and Mary Petry.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 16 at the Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, Menomonee Falls, from 4 p.m. until the time of vigil service at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, N74 W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls (meet at the church).
Burial will follow in Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Barbara A. Liepert
Barbara A. Liepert, nee Harper, 53, of West Bend, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
She was born March 17, 1948, in Milwaukee, to the late Raymond and Catherine (nee Plucity) Harper.
In 1979 Barbara came to West Bend and was employed at the General Clinic where she was Dr. Geiger's nurse until becoming the managed care specialist.
Barb married Douglas Liepert on June 8, 1996, in West Bend.
She collected all kinds of bears and also loved to travel when not involved with family. She had a very giving nature.
Survivors include her husband; two children, Renee (Nickolas) Yenter of West Bend and Timothy Radloff of Venice, Fla.; two stepchildren, Matthew (Tracy) Liepert of Chicago and Andrea (Jeff) Simon of Shorewood; six grandchildren, Kayleigh, Christopher, Bobbi Jo, Andrew, Justin and Samuel; two brothers, Robert (Cherie) Harper of Franklin and Thomas Harper of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 19, at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church (please meet at church).
Father Gerald Brittain will be the presider, and entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
