Joyce F. Drudik
Joyce F. Drudik, nee Fitz, 78, of West Bend, was born to eternal life on Friday, Feb. 9, 2001.
She was the beloved wife of the late Otto; dear mother of James and the late John Schwartzburg; mother-in-law of Carol Schwatrzburg and Susan Herde; loving grandma of Jennifer (Dion), Laura, David and Lauren; fond great-grandma of Aleesha, Austin, Colleon and Seven. She is further survived by a sister, Joan (Don) Idzik; a nephew, Mark; a niece, Cindy; other relatives and many dear friends.
Complete funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Service, 10121 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
If desired, memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
Dr. James E. Albrecht
Dr. James E. Albrecht of Jackson, passed away at his home on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at the age of 85.
He was born Feb. 6, 1916, in the town of Beaver Dam, to the late Herbert and Cora (nee Keil) Albrecht, and married Marian F. Peters on Aug. 18, 1944 at Bay View Bethel.
Marian passed away in 1992.
Dr. Jim is survived by three children, Lynn (Dr. Jesse) Vegafria, Peter (Becky) and Dr. Charles (Linda), and three grandchildren, David Vegafria, Cora (Dr. Matt) Jones and Maegwin Albrecht-Struble.
He is further survived by a sister, Carol Heffner; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Other survivors include the many former patients and countless friends who enriched his life, helped him establish his goals and finally helped him achieve them.
His life was dedicated to Jesus Christ and serving his fellow man. He will be sadly missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson from 1 to 9 p.m., and also Friday from 9 a.m. until noon.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery.
At Dr. Albrecht's request, the family asks in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Donated Health Care Services.
Robert Larson
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg, for Robert Larson of Cedarburg, who died on Feb. 10, 2001 at Mequon Care Center. Rev. Dale Erickson officiated at the ceremony. Burial was held at Zur Ruhe Cemetery.
Mr. Larson was born on October 13, 1927 in Mequon, the son of the late Andrew and Mary (nee Koepsel) Larson. He married Helen Koehn on June 14, 1952. He worked for Doerr Electric as a lab technician. He served in the Navy during WW II, earning the Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include: wife Helen of Cedarburg; children Holly (David) Wagner of Menomonie, Joy Madouse of Grafton, Jean (Tom) Doll of Grafton, Carol (Bob) Mead of Green Bay and Lee (Jane) of West Bend; grandchildren Nikki, Ben, Sam, Laura, Steven, Joe, Maddeline, Jacob, Faith and Robert; sisters Bernice Greco of Milwaukee, Mary Schmidt of California; brothers Andrew (Catherine) of Jackson and Donald (Anita) of Grafton.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Robert B. Bauer
A funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg for Robert B. Bauer, 68, of Cedarburg who died on Feb. 10, 2001. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home of Cedarburg assisted the family.
Mr. Bauer was born on March 25, 1932 in Milwaukee, the son of the late William and Clara (nee Kaczynski) Bauer. He married Irene (nee Ullrich) on June 28, 1957 in Germany. He served in the Air Force from 1956-1961; and was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.
Survivors include: wife Irene of Cedarburg; children Raymond (Lori) Bauer, Elizabeth (Tom) Wilhelm, Melissa (Robert) Blackburn, and Diane Bauer; grandchildren: Becky, Tony, Christie, Dana, Brian, Heidi, Chais and Rachel; sister Delores Ostrowski; niece Renee (Michael) Weber. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Richard S. Zingsheim
Richard S. Zingsheim, 63, of Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Hartford Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 30, 1937, in the town of Addison to Leander and Frances (nee Gass) Zingsheim, and married Mary Held on June 6, 1959, in St. Anthony.
Richard worked at The West Bend Co. for 44 years, and was a member of its 25-Year Club.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Wendy (Mike) Whelan, Barbara (Keith) Schaumberg and Dawn (Craig) Bever, all of Hartford; seven grandchildren, Sara, Michael Jr., Kevin, Matthew, Brooke, Lea and Taylor; a great-grandson, Logan; his mother, Frances Zingsheim of West Bend; two brothers, Dale (Lois) of Campbellsport and Gerald (Judy) of West Bend; three sisters, Marion (William) Pfeifer of Kewaskum, Joanne (Walter) Held of Neosho and Joyce (Dale) Hart of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Mildred Held of Slinger; two brothers-in-law, Harold (Judy) Held and George (Corrine) Held, both of Neosho; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Leander.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hartford.
Rev. Daniel Westendorf will officiate, and interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church only.
Memorials to Peace Ev. Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association are appreciated.
The Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, is serving the family.
Raymond W. Ziegelbauer
Raymond W. Ziegelbauer, 78, of West Bend, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at the Beechwood Rest Home in Beechwood.
He was born June 7, 1922, in Hartford to the late Frank and Armulla (nee Roethle) Ziegelbauer.
Ray served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, being awarded the World War II Victory Medal, The American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal.
After his marriage to Erna Zimmerman on Jan. 23, 1952, at Holy Hill, the couple settled in Kewaskum and in 1954 came to West Bend where he was employed at the West Bend Transit and Service Co., retiring in 1982.
His wife passed away on Oct. 16, 1982.
Ray was a member of the Zunker-Held Post 3358 VFW in Slinger.
Survivors include three children, Mary (Timothy) Byrum of Cedarburg, Sandra (Dale) Liepert of Kewaskum and Gary (Glennis) of Slinger; five grandchildren; a sister, Loraine Beder of Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law, Rita Ziegelbauer and Grace Ziegelbauer, both of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a son, Mark; three brothers, Jerry, Wilbert and Ralph; and a brother-in-law, Jacob Beder.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.
Father Gerald Britain will be the presider, and burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Friday from 4 until the 8 p.m. prayer vigil, and also at the church on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
Memorials may be given in Raymond's name.
Fred O. Wesenberg, Sr.
Fred O. Wesenberg, Sr., 82, of Kewaskum, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.
He was born Aug. 13, 1918, in the town of Auburn, to the late Albert and Mary (Dorn) Wesenberg, and on Aug. 23, 1947, married Doris Hoffman in Campbellsport.
Mr. Wesenberg served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a lifetime member of the Campbellsport VFW Post 8339 and the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum. He was also a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Fred A. (Kathleen) Wesenberg of Campbellsport and Carole (John) Heberer of Kewaskum; six grandchildren, Richard (Rebecca) Wesenberg of North Fond du Lac, James (Christina ) Wesenberg of Chilton, Lisa (Thomas) Pachen of Greenfield, Jennifer (Brian) Gatzke of Plymouth, Shawneen Wesenberg of Fond du Lac and Keith Heberer of Kewaskum; three step-grandchildren, Kim Fresquez of West Bend, James (Amy) Cesarec of Campbellsport and Amy Cesarec of Oshkosh; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth (George) Eggert Jr. of Kewaskum; six sisters-in-law, Irene Hinn of Campbellsport, Francelia Wesenberg of West Bend, Betty Giese of Fond du Lac, Shirley Atkins of Surprise, Ariz., Dorothy (Alton) Westover of Denver, Colo. and Alice Hoffman of Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother-in-law, Paul (Frances) Hoffman of Opelika, Ala.; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a son, Thomas; twin daughters, Pamela and Patricia; and two brothers, Albert Jr. and Robert Wesenberg.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum.
Rev. Timothy Henning will officiate, and burial with military graveside rites will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in Lutheran Memorial Park, Kewaskum.
Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to St. Lucas Church or School, or a charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
