Charlotte Herrmann
Private services were held for Charlotte Herrmann, 91, of Cedarburg, who died Dec. 10, 2000 at Lasata Care Center, Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home assisted the family.
Mrs. Herrmann was born Jan. 15, 1909 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Herman and Alvina (nee Brekow) Luecking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Herrmann.
Survivors include daughters Jeanne Krueger of Cedarburg, Vivian Victor of Brookfield and Lois (Neal) Porter of Oregon; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Dorothy Bonekoske
Funeral services were held Monday for Dorothy Bonekoske, 87, of Grafton, at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg. Burial was at Union Cemetery in Newburg. Rev. David Schoob officiated at the ceremony. Dorothy died on Dec. 29, 2000 at Columbia Hospital.
Mrs. Bonekoske was born Feb. 21, 1913 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Otto and Katherine (nee Schubert) Klein. She was preceded in death by her husband, August Bonekoske, and sister Mildred. Dorothy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of West Bend.
Survivors include: son Ron of Grafton; sister Janet Jansen; other relatives and friends.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Erich J. Koester
Erich J. Koester, 92, of West Bend, died on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1908, in the town of Polk to the late John and Bertha (nee Herman) Koester.
Following his marriage to Viola Reichart on Oct. 28, 1933 in West Bend, they settled in West Bend, where he became employed for The West Bend Co., retiring after 44 years.
He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, the Senior Citizens group of Washington County, the 25-Year Club at The West Bend Co., West Bend Chapter 1398 Loyal Order of Moose, Order of Eastern Star West Bend Chapter 73, West Bend Lodge 138 F&AM and the Scottish Rite Bodies.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Viola; a daughter, Jeanne (John) Wood of Milwaukee; three grandchildren, Anne (Bob) Wandler of Waukesha, Joan (Mike) Witte of Aviston, Ill. and Karen (Ted) Ludolph; five great-grandchildren, Angela and Jonathan Witte, and Aaron, Rachael and Megan Ludolph; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Florence Koester and a brother, Roland.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Rev. James Eckblad will officiate, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation will be at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, on Friday from 6 p.m. until the Masonic service at 7 p.m., and also on Saturday at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
The family has requested that memorials be given to Immanuel United Church of Christ or to the Benevolent Corporation-Cedar Campuses.
Darrel W. Koepp, 53
Darrel W. Koepp of West Bend, 53, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001.
Private services were held Friday at 11 a.m. at The Philip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend.
Cremation will take place at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac.
G. Bruce Kraft, 64
G. Bruce Kraft of West Bend, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at the age of 64.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend with Father Jeffrey Haines officiating.
Burial will take place at Washington County Memorial Park on Monday at 10 a.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials are appreciated.
Carl A. Biederman
A memorial service was held on Saturday for Carl A. Biederman, 87 of Oshkosh, who died on Jan. 3, 2001.
Mr. Biederman was born Sept. 7, 1913 in St. Louis, Mo., son of the late John A. and Olga (nee Koerner) Biederman. He was president of Oshkosh National Bank, former president of Wisconsin Bankers Association, past president of the Oshkosh Rotary Club, member of St. Mary’s Church in Oshkosh and founding director of Western State Bank. He was also on the board of directors of Oshkosh Truck Corp, Mercy Medical Center and Twin Lakes Council Boy Scouts. Mr. Biederman worked in many different ways with the United Way, Evergreen Manor and the March of Dimes.
Survivors include: wife Donna (nee Marheine) of Cedarburg; daughters Linda (William) Nelson of Lake Geneva, Nancy Mullarkey or Park Ridge, Ill. and Marianne (Michael) Mette of Cedarburg; grandchildren Tracy Nelson of Madison, Michael (Jennifer) Nelson of Pickerington, Ohio, Christine Mullarkey of Park Ridge, Ill., Jason (Amy) Gasser of Old Fort, N.C., Matthew Mette of Cedarburg and Kimberly Mette of Cedarburg; brother John (Alice) Biederman.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor (nee Voigt), sister Marie Nelson and son-in-law John Mullarkey.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Mercy Medical Center or St. Mary’s Church in Oshkosh would be appreciated.
Frederick C. Jahnke
A memorial service was held Dec. 30 at Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, Thiensville, for Frederick C. Jahnke, 82, of Cedarburg, who died Dec. 26, 2000 at Mequon Care Center.
Mr. Jahnke was born on Milwaukee’s South Side. While he was a child, his family moved to Wauwatosa, where he attended grade school and graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1936. He attended Marquette University, and went on to graduate from Carroll College in Waukesha.
During World War II, he served as a navigator on a B-17 based in Foggia, Italy, attaining the rank of lieutenant. When the war ended in Europe, he was reassigned to the Pacific, receiving his honorable discharge in 1945.
Mr. Jahnke was an active member of the Wisconsin Iris Society for many years. Many Cedarburg resident visited his beautiful iris garden in full springtime bloom.
Survivors include his wife Violette (nee Drescher) Jahnke of Cedarburg; children Richard (Susan Markel) Jahnke of Syracuse, N.Y., Leslie Ann Jahnke of Glendale and Ross (Heather Casper) Jahnke of Baton Rouge, La.; grandchildren Sara, Benjamin and Abigail; brother Norman (Jean) Jahnke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kimberly Ann Paswaters
Kimberly Ann Paswaters, 34, of Campbellsport, violently entered eternal life on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
She was born to Pearl (Fredrick) Dobbratz and Donald Dobbratz on Jan. 26, 1966, at Memorial Hospital, Watertown.
Kim was a 1984 graduate of Campbellsport High School, and married Douglas Paswaters on Sept. 29, 1984 in Elmbrook. Together they had four beautiful daughters.
She was very proud to be the first certified woman firefighter for the Campbellsport Volunteer Fire Department, and was also furthering her education to become an emergency medical technician.
Kim was also proud that she was a part-time civil servant of the Campbellsport Post Office.
She took pride in home schooling her children and the special Fridays for each of her daughters.
Kim also operated a childcare facility in her home and was fluent in sign language which she used in her childcare and taught to her daughters.
She was a very special person and excellent mother who enjoyed life with her family and friends.
Kim was a wonderfully kind person who would help anyone, any time.
Survivors include her four beautiful daughters, Cristalynn, Mistie, Noel and Heather, all at home; her ex-husband, Douglas; her mother, Pearl Dobbratz of Lomira; her father and stepmother, Donald and Rosemary Dobbratz of Juneau; her sisters, Dawn Wahl of Almond, Chris (Jon) Hagen of Campbellsport and Valerie Dobbratz of Lomira; her stepsister, Amy (Mike) Jach of Reeseville; her half-brother, Donald Dobbratz II of Juneau; her mother-in-law, Karen Paswaters and sister-in-law, Diana Paswaters, both of Campbellsport; many nieces and nephews; a great niece and great nephews.
Preceding her in death were her maternal grandfather, an uncle, and her paternal grandmother.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport.
Rev. Daniel Schmidt will officiate, and burial will follow in Auburn Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated with a fund to be established.
Kim is greatly missed by her entire family and all of her friends. Anyone who has met her will feel great pain at having lost her; she was truly special.
Dorothy M. "Dot" Schuppel
Dorothy M. "Dot" Schuppel, nee Klein, of West Bend, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at the Samaritan Health Center, at the age of 84.
She was born April 11, 1916, in Milwaukee, to the late Arthur and Mary (nee Graef) Klein, and was raised in the West Bend area.
After her marriage to Lee W. Schuppel on Nov. 1, 1941, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church of West Bend, the couple lived and farmed in the town of Barton for over 40 years.
Her husband passed away on Jan. 8, 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Richard (Joan) Schuppel of the town of Barton and Gene (Joanne) Schuppel of Kohlsville; six grandchildren, Jason, Jenny, Bill, Mike and Amy Schuppel and Melissa Riley and her friend, Brett; three great-grandchildren, Elysha, Brittany and Ciera; three sisters, Helen (Ed) Junk of the town of Barton, Margaret (Art) Nohr of Cornell and Marion Calenberg of West Bend; three sisters-in-law, Rheina Klein and Marion Schuppel, both of West Bend and Ruby Schuppel of Slinger; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Orville and Harry, and a sister, Rita Ciriacks.
She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church of West Bend.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend.
Pastor George Mumm will officiate, and interment will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
