Marie T. Wichlacz
Marie T. Wichlacz, nee Rothenberger, of West Bend, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, at the age of 66.
She was born Dec. 12, 1934, in Edgar, to John and Angeline (nee Turzinski) Rothenberger, and in 1963 her family moved to West Bend where she was employed at the Threshold Inc.
Survivors include four children, Denise (Steve) Haendel of Hustisford, Dennis (Virginia) of West Bend, Diane (Ron) Jensen of Menomonee Falls and Duane of West Bend; eight grandchildren, April and Brian Haendel, Travis and Sheena Wichlacz, Margaret Seltrecht, Cassandra and Kyle Katzer and Amber Wichlacz; a great-grandson, Dayton; her mother, Angeline Jagla of Schofield; a brother, Kenneth Rothenberger of Wausau; three sisters, Esther Lippert of Stratford, Angeline (Weldon) Degner of Wausau and Diane (Kenneth) Kasten of Schofield; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her father, John; a son, Craig, in infancy; and two brothers, Eugene and Leroy.
A private Mass was held at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church, West Bend.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Lupus Society of Wisconsin.
The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend, is serving the family.
Carolyn J. "Carrie" Schucht
Carolyn J. "Carrie" Schucht, nee Hritz, of Brookfield and formerly of West Bend, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at her residence at the age of 78.
She was born March 5, 1922, in Milwaukee, and married Henry "Hank" Schucht on Aug. 8, 1942. They settled in West Bend in 1950.
Hank passed away in 1997.
Carrie was the executive secretary to the president of The West Bend Co. for 23 years before becoming the executive secretary to R.D. Ziegler and B.C. Ziegler of the Ziegler Co. for over 11 years before retiring.
Carrie was the past president of the Professional Secretary's International, Milwaukee and past president of PACE, a business and professional woman's group.
She was a member of the St. Joseph's Community Hospital Auxiliary and the West Bend Woman's Club.
Carrie was also active on the state advisory committee for adult education and a member of many committees of the Moraine Park Technical College.
Survivors include a loving daughter, Karen (Loren "Lee") Brunner of Greenfield; two dear sisters, Bernice (Ed) Mull of Southington, Conn. and Peggy Grossi of Wapping, Conn.; two nieces; three nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Eleanor.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 6 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend.
Fr. Jeffrey Haines will be the presider and cremation will take place.
The family will greet relatives and friends in the church hall immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the St. Frances Cabrini Church Education Fund.

Margaret A. Wiegand
Margaret A. Wiegand (nee Baldwin) of Erin Meadows passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000 at her residence. She was 64 years old.
She was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on July 16, 1936 to E.V. and Florence (nee Kirby) Baldwin. She married Dick Wiegand on Sept. 5, 1959 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Rapid City, South Dakota.
She worked in customer service for Broan Manufacturing for 16 years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Hill Catholic Church, Hubertus.
She is survived by her husband, Dick; two daughters, Kirby Ann Wiegand of Waukesha and Theresa Ann (Gregory) Bednar of Slinger; a son, Joseph (Jennifer) Wiegand of England; four grandchildren, Katherine and Emily Wiegand, D.J. and Andrew Bednar; and two sisters, Mary Lou (Gary) Galyardt of Rapid City, South Dakota and Catherine (Don) Jorgensen of Colorado Springs, Colo. Margaret is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of St. Therese, Holy Hill with Father Leonard Copeland officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford from 4 to 7 p.m., with a Prayer Vigil at 7 p.m. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, Richfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society or Holy Hill appreciated.
Willard J. Margelofsky
Willard J. Margelofsky of Neo-sho passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000 at his home. He was 74 years old.
He was born in Rubicon on May 18, 1926 to Harvey and Adela (nee Otto) Margelofsky. He married Delores Frank on Aug. 28, 1948 at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford.
Willard worked for the highway department for 34 years. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neosho. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; a son, Dennis Margelof-sky of Neosho; his mother, Adela Margelofsky of Neosho; two sisters, Arlene (Elmer) Joecks of Woodland and Delores Schmidt of Woodruff; a brother, Sylvester (Gloria) Margelofsky of Neosho; three sisters-in-law, Amanda Quandt of Hartford, Mary Ann (Wilbur) Margelowsky of Hustis-ford, and Anna Mae (Frank) Marrese of Lomira; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Frank of Hartford. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey and two brothers-in-law, David Schmidt and Victor Quandt, and a sister-in-law Bernice Frank.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 26 at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neosho with Rev. David Meister officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Tuesday at the church only from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
Memorials to St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church or Horizon Hospice appreciated. The Shimon Funeral Home assisted the family.
Louis H. Guth
Louis H. Guth of West Bend passed away on Friday, Dec. 29, 2000 at Samaritan Health Care Center of West Bend. He was 88 years old.
He was born in Kewaskum on June 19, 1912 to Louis and Emma (nee Engelieter) Guth. He married Theckla N. Winninghoff on Dec. 22, 1931 at Holy Angels Catholic Church of West Bend.
Louis was raised in Allenton and later moved to Little Cedar Lake of West Bend. He was employed at West Bend Malting Company for over 30 years and later worked as a maintenance man at Regner Park for over 15 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend.
He is survived by four children, Helen (William) Kreuger of West Bend, Marjorie (Louis) Miller of Fond du Lac, Robert (Rosemary) Guth of West Bend, and Tom (Susie) Guth of Hampton, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mae Guth of Wauwatosa and Marion Winninghoff of West Bend; one brother-in-law, Joseph (Isabelle) Winninghoff of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on Aug. 25, 1997; one brother, Ray; and one sister, Arvella.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church of West Bend with Fr. Patrick Wendt officiating. Visitation was held at the church only from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Interment took place at Holy Angels Cemetery of West Bend following services.
Memorials are appreciated to St. Mary's Building Fund.

Gertrude A. 'Tootie' Guerndt
Gertrude A. 'Tootie' Guerndt (nee Umland) of Slinger passed away on Monday, Dec. 25, 2000 at her residence. She was 72 years old.
She was born in Beaver Dam on July 15, 1928 to Leonard and Zola (nee Marquinn) Umland. She married William G. Guerndt on May 10, 1947 in Barton.
She was raised in the Beaver Dam area. After marriage, she and her husband lived in Slinger. She was a factory worker at Amity Leather Products of West Bend for over 18 years, retiring in 1985. She loved dancing, concertina music, polka music, sewing and quilt making.
She is survived by four children, Shirley (Jeff) Yahr of Kewaskum, Linda (Tom) Rosche of Slinger, Brenda (Mike) Hillsberg of Montello, and Robert (Debra) Guerndt of Slinger; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 brothers and sisters. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William on Dec. 15, 1986.
A memorial service was held on Friday, Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home of Slinger with Deacon Bernie Wendt officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Cremation took place at Parkview Crematories of Fond du Lac with interment of ashes at Union Cemetery, Slinger.
Vincent E. Gault
Vincent E. Gault of Neosho passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000 at the Hartford Memorial Hospital. He was 90 years old.
He was born in the Town of Lebanon on Sept. 24, 1910 to Stewart and Anna (nee Lacey) Gault. He married Molly Thomas on Sept. 24, 1935 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Rubicon.
Vincent was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and their Holy Name Society. He was an honorary member of the Neosho Fire Department and a member of Neosho Sportsmen’s Club. He farmed his whole life, loved to drive tractor and helped with the combining of this past fall’s harvest, loved fishing with his two buddies, Jim and Harry, but, most of all he enjoyed the big family gatherings.
He is survived by three daughters, Rosemarie (Dave) Wolbrink of Slinger, Jean (Ron) Reich of Hartford, and Joyce (Dennis) Snyder of Slinger; three sons, Robert (Joanne) Gault , Donald (Beverly) Gault, and James (Kathleen) Gault, all of Neosho; 15 grandchildren, Mark Hart-mann (friend Shannon Arritola) of Juneau, Cheri (Tom) Talaj-kowski of Whitefish Bay, Laurel (Tim) Jaeke of West Bend, David (Dawn) Gault of Neosho, Chris-tine (Eugene) Gehring of Hartford, Victoria Gault (fiance Scott Scharpf) of Neosho, Ken-neth Gault (friend Dawn Becker) of Neosho, Timothy (Anna) Reich of Arlington Heights, Ill., Pamela (Jeff) Gudex of West Bend, Trisha (Darryl) Fischer of Sling-er, Andrea (Tom) Schaetz of Tole-do, Ohio, Melissa Gault, Jessica Gault, Megan Gault and Karla Gault, all of Neosho; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Kay Thomas of Hartford and Ag-nes Walczak of Neosho. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Molly on Oct. 14, 1985; six sisters, Elsie (Blake) Abbott, Amber (Frank) Sloup, Alyce (Hilbert) Thelen, Eunice (Russell) Werner, Bernice Gault, and Pearl Gault; and a brother, Lawrence (Marie) Gault.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Neosho with Fr. Franklyn Becker officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Saturday at the church only from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Interment at St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Rubicon.
