Anthony J. "Tony" Jaye
A funeral service was held at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church on Saturday for Anthony J. "Tony" Jaye, 82, who died on Nov. 19, 2000. Interment was held at the church cemetery. Schramka-Gunther Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Jaye was born in Crystal Falls, Mich. on June 9, 1918. He moved to Milwaukee in the early 1940s where he met Marie Soyka at his job with the Milwaukee Railroad. They were married in 1942.
He was a first lieutenant and an instructor at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. in the Army Engineering Corp. After his discharge the couple moved to Cudahy, and adopted two children, Susan and Timothy. They moved to Cedarburg in 1960 and continued to raise their family.
Survivors include: wife Marie; daughter Susan (James) Reynolds of Jackson; son Timothy of Texas; grandchildren James (Sandy) of Milwaukee, Jeff of New York; brother Frank (Virjen) Archek of Mukwonago; sister Ann Karwoski.
Further survived by other relatives and special friends.

Ethel L. Glander
Private services were held for Ethel L. Glander, 82, of Grafton, who died Nov. 24, 2000.
Survivors include: children Sandra June Peterson and Don (Lorna) Pitzer; grandchildren Julie Anne Ingle, Cami, Angela Pitzer; great-grandson David Thomas Ingle; brothers John (Dorothy) Degner, George (Dorothy) Degner & Robert (Gloria) Degner; sister Lillian Simandl; sister-in-law Rosemary Peters.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She will be dearly missed by Thomas, Cynthia and Cierra Ingle.
She was preceded-in-death by both husbands, Louis Pitzer and Erhard Glander Sr.; parents Paul and Hilma (nee Larson) Degner; brother William Degner and sister Virginia Speerbrecher.

Joseph W. Allen
Private family services were held at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mequon for Joseph W. Allen, 81, who died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000 at Mequon Care Center in Mequon.
Mr. Allen was born in Wilmington, N.C., but was raised most of his life in Beloit. He resided in Mequon the past 25 years. He worked for 32 years at New York Life Insurance Company. He retired from New York Life as its local General Manager.
Survivors include: wife Edna (nee Pettengill); son Mark (Margaret) Allen of Cedarburg and two granddaughters Julie Allen and Jennifer (Mark) Borkowicz. He was preceded in death by a son, David Allen.
Memorials to Vitas Hospice or Fox Point Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

Mr. Leonard E. Schultz
Mr. Leonard E. Schultz, 72, of New Fane passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1928, in the town of Auburn, the son of the late William and Violet (BAssett) Schultz and on Sept. 23, 1950, he was united in marriage to Ruth Mary Giese at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Theresa.
Mr. Schultz was employed by Regal Ware Inc. in Kewaskum for 38 years, retiring on Feb. 15, 1990, and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He served his country as a M.P. in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War, was a member of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post #384 Kewaskum and a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ruth Mary of New Fane; four sons, Leon (Karen) and Lynn (Paula) Schultz, both of New Fane, Lee (Kris) and Rodney Joann) Schultz, both of West Bend; two sisters, Vernette Wetherington of Kinston, N.C., and Marilyn (Daniel) Wilke of Howards Grove; 11 granddaughters; a grandson; two great-grandsons; other relatives and many friends.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane. Rev. Mark Eckert will officiate and burial with military graveside rites follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from noon until the time of services at the church.
Memorials to St. John Lutheran Church New Building Fund are appreciated.

Roger K. Strachota
Roger K. Strachota of West Bend died on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital of West Bend at the age of 78. He was born on March 10. 1922 in Wausau to the late Oscar P. and Helen B. (nee Schroeder) Strachota.
After graduating from Wausau High School with the class of 1940, he served in World War II as part of the 89th Calvary Reconnaissance Squadron of the U.S. Army, and saw action in the European Theater, including the Battle of the Bulge. Upon his return from the war Roger spent 21 years in the family business that operated a livestock dealership in the Wausau area for three generations. In 1965, he joined Dairyland Seed Company of Kewaskum where he served as the plant manager until his retirement in 1987.
On July 5, 1947, he was united in marriage to Olive M. Heroux in Wausau. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish in West Bend and was a member of the Adrian Neubauer V.F.W. Post 8658.
Survivors include his wife Olive; four children, Pat (Roger) Francis of Phoenix, Ariz., Dennis (Ann Stephani) of Madison, David (Elaine) of Grafton and Janet Alemi of West Bend; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia (Russell) Day of Wausau, Jean (George) Muelrath of Wauwatosa and Shirley (Daniel) Ayala of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Jim (Marlene) Strachota of Wausau and Jerry Strachota of King; one sister-in-law, Marge Strachota of Wausau; other relatives and friends. A brother, Russell, predeceased.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, 2000 at 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, West Bend. Rev. Patrick Wendt will be the presider, and burial will be on Tuesday at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau. Visitation will be at the church only on Monday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the services. The family prefers memorials to St. Joseph’s Community Hospital Hospice Unit.

Antoinette M. "Tootie" O’Keane
Antoinette M. "Tootie" O’Keane (nee Olinger) of West Bend, formerly of Slinger, died Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the Samaritan Health Center of West Bend at the age of 95.
She was born to Peter (Mary Winkler) Olinger on May 8, 1905, in Milwaukee and married John R. O’Keane on July 12, 1927, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church of Milwaukee.
She was raised in Milwaukee and after marriage, the couple lived in the Milwaukee area. She was very active with the Catholic Church community and the Franciscan Sisters. Tootie was a foster mother for 18 children in the Milwaukee and surrounding areas. She was a member of St. Columbia Catholic Church of the town of Richfield.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary T. Kearns of Oak Harbor, Wash.; four grandchildren, Kevin Kearns of Oak Harbor, Wash., Colleen (Kerry) Nutter of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Kerry Kearns of Milwaukee and Kelly Kearns of West Bend; further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on May 27, 1991; one sister and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at St. Columbia Catholic Church of the town of Richfield with Father Charles Hanel officiating.
Interment will take place at St. Columbia Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Visitation will be at the church only from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass on Monday.

Donna M. Kratzke
Donna M. Kratzke, nee Brennand, 71, of Slinger, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Chesapeake General Hospital in Chesapeake, Va.
She was born on Jan. 29, 1929, in Milwaukee to the late Earl and Margaret (nee Walgenbach) Brennand, and she married Robert W. Kratzke on Aug. 7, 1948, in Milwaukee. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1993.
Donna was employed at Amity as a floor supervisor for several years and she was an avid world traveler.
She is survived by five children, Robert T. Kratzke of Reston, Va., Karen (Douglas) Weiss of Montello, David (Linda) Kratzke of Muskego, William (Kristin) Kratzke of Bayside, and Kevin Kratzke of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; 10 grandsons, one granddaughter; a brother, Thomas (Dorothy) Brennand of New Berlin; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Anita Kratzke.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 4 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Slinger. Reverend Robert Bales will be the presider and burial will be in the new St. Peter's Church Cemetery on Monday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of services.

Agnes B. Hills
Agnes B. Hills (nee Christensen), 83, of West Bend, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
She was born on Dec. 11, 1916 in Bancroft to the late Carl and Ida (nee Pagel) Christensen. She married Ivan G. Hills in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death in June 1974.
She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in West Bend, Elim Tabernacle in Milwaukee and the Greenfield Christian Center.
She is survived by five children, Ivan (Lynn) Hills of Chicago, Ill., Richard Hills of West Bend, Donna Zappulla of Rancho Cucamonga Calif., Stephen Hills of Peoria, Ill., and Jerry (Ruth) Hills of West Allis; three grandchildren, Brian (Vicki) Hills of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Rachelle Hills of Superior and ReNae Hills of Campbellsport; two great-grandsons, Hunter Hills and Parker Hills, both of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Lydia Footit of Almond; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Turner, and a brother, Carl Christensen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God in West Bend, and cremation will take place on Monday at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of service.

Dolores M. Wolf
Dolores M. Wolf, nee Schemenauer, 82, formerly of the town of Addison, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, West Bend.
She was born Oct. 20, 1918, in the town of West Bend, to the late Joseph and Susan (nee Korneli) Schemenauer.
Following her marriage to Stanley F. Wolf on June 1, 1940, at Sacred Heart Church in Allenton, they settled on a farm in the town of Addison;
She was employed part time at St. Joseph's Community Hospital in the housekeeping department.
While she was working the farm with her husband, and later their children, Dolores' interest in animals, farming and country life grew into a life-long affection.
Her husband passed away Dec. 7, 1985.
She was a member of the St. Matthias Christian Women's Confraternity, the Cedar Chips Homemaker's Club and the West Bend Chapter 732 Women of the Moose.
Survivors include four children, Ronald (Bernette) of West Bend, Kenneth (Judy) of Fox Lake, Darlene (Jim) Myers and Karen (Curt) Schrauth, both of West Bend; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice (Richard) Rose of St. Anthony; a sister-in-law, Virginia Schemenauer of West Bend; two brothers-in-law, Harold Schaefer of Milwaukee and Edgar (Ann) Wolf of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a son, James on Aug. 26, 1976; two brothers, Sylvester and Clarence; and two sisters, Ruth Klein and Cecelia Schaefer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthias Chapel, Nabob.
Fr. Alois VanBeek will be the presider, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Women of the Moose Ritual at 6:30 p.m. and a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m.
