Norman R. Walter, 68
He was born Sept. 26, 1931, in Allenton, to the late Raymon and Margaret (nee Schmidt) Walter.
Norman was an avid Packer fan, softball player and golfer and played inthe senior softball league in Arizona until recently.
He lived in Chicago whee he was a member of the Chicago Fire Department for over 34 years and was a member of the international Association Norman R. Walter, 68, of Antioch, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan, Ill., after a sudden illness.
He was born Sept. 26, 1931, in Allenton, to the late Raymond and Margaret (nee Schmidt) Walter.
Norman was an avid Packer fan, softball player and golfer and played in the senior softball league in Arizona until recently.
He lived in Chicago where he was a member of the Chicago Fire Department for over 34 years and was a member of the International Association of Firefighters Local 2. His last assignment was Truck 38 before he retired in 1989.
On Oct. 26, 1956, Norman married Dona Nicholson in Hartford.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, John (Anna) of Lake Zurich, Ill. and Jim (Donnajean) of Gurnee, Ill.; three daughters, Mary (Dave) Matzel of Gurnee, Joan DeRango of Lake Zurich and Beth(Jay) Renstrom of Arlington Heights, Ill.; two brothers, Arnold of Milwaukee and Robert (Beverly) of West Bend; 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Ben, Tim, Dan, Matt, Pat, Caitlin, Nick, Schuyler and Shea; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Oct. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Benedictine Abbey, Benet Lake, Wis. Interment will be private.
Visitation at the Strang Funeral Home, Antioch, Ill., 1055 Main St., Antioch, will be Friday from 4 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chicago Firefighters Union Local 2 Scholarship Fund in his memory.

Doris A. Diedrick
Doris A. Diedrick, nee Yoeckel, of Waupun passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999 at the University Hospital in Madison. She was 37 years old.
She was born April 20, 1962 in Hartford to Elmer and Jeanette (nee Christian) Yoeckel.
Doris was a 1979 graduate of the Hartford Union High School. She was an employee at the Dodge County Correctional Institution for the last few years.
Doris is survived by her fiance Michael Jutz of Waupun, her parents Elmer and Jeanette Yoeckel of Hartford, a brother Dale (Cindy) Yoeckel of Hartford, two nieces Becky and Angie, and her loving dog "Buddy." She is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov, 9 at 8 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford with Rev. Donald Koehn officiating. Visitation was at the Shimon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 from 8 p.m. Interment was at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Woodland.

Donald M. Schulteis, 47
Donald M. "Don" Schulteis, 47, of Slinger, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee.
He was born Aug. 22, 1952, in Port Washington to Donald P. and Doris A. (nee Beck) Schulteis.
Don graduated from West Bend High School and was employed at Millikin Mill Work Company as a truck driver.
Survivors include his parents, Donald and Doris of Jackson; daughters, Shelley and Tracey Schulteis of Slinger and their mother, Lynn; his paternal grandmother, Antoinette "Nettie" Schulteis of Slinger; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Slinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will b e held Sunday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Slinger. Father Robert J. Bales will officiate, and interment will be Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Hubert's Cemetery, Hubertus.
Visitation at the church only will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass.
Memorials are appreciated.

Frank O. Peter Jr.
Frank O. Peter Jr., of West Bend, formerly of the town of Addison, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, West Bend, at the age of 86.
He was born Sept. 18, 1913, in the town of Addison, to the late Frank and Anna (nee Schweitzer) Peter;
On Sept. 21, 1927, he married Theckla M. Zingsheim at SS. Peter and Paul Church, Nenno. She passed away on Jan. 10, 1985.
Frank worked on his farm all his life, and also worked at the Slinger Foundry for 20 years.
Survivors include four children, Joan Watry of Neshkoro, Dolores Boehm of Campbellsport, Judith (Alvin) Jentsch of West Bend and Patricia (fiance Andrew Janous) Konstanz of Cambpellsport; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a grandson, Daniel Jentsch, two brothers and a sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church, West Bend. Father Patrick Wemdt will be the presider, and burial will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Nenno.
Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.

Raymond J. Herriges, 61
Raymond J. Herriges 61, of Boltonville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee.
He was born Nov. 23, 1937, in St. Michaels, to the late Math and Leocadia (Wilger) Herriges, and on Nov. 26, 1960, married Arlene Knutson at St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michaels. His wife passed away Dec. 18, 1997.
Mr. Herriges served his country in the U.S. Navy and was discharged in 1958. He owned Herriges Firewood, was a life-long member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michaels, and was an honorary member of the Boltonville Fire Department.
Survivors include nine brothers, Jerome (Rosalie) of West Bend, Joseph (Ethel) of Newburg, Sylvester of Kewaskum, Francis (Eleanor) of West Bend, Clemence (Edith) of Arizona, Gerald (Fran) of Sheboygan Falls, Donald (Joyce) of New Fane, Andrew (Joyce) of Adell and Albert (Sandy) of St. Michaels.; four sisters, Rita Speath of Milwaukee, Lucille Kalb of Florida Kathleen (Bill) Tills of Muldoon, Neb. and Evelyn Herriges of Marshall, La.; a stepson, Randy Knutson of Crooked Lake; two step-granddaughters, Nicole West and Corrine Ludwig; four step-great-grandchildren; many niece, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michaels. Father Robert Artmann will officiate, and burial with military graveside rites will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John of God Catholic Church Cemetery, town of Farmington.
Visitation at the church only will be Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home Kewaskum, is serving the family.

Charles Metzo
Charles Metzo, of Jackson, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend, at the age of 81.
He was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Westline, Pa., to the late Fedor and Eva (nee Ledney) Miczo.
After graduating from high school, he entered the U.S. Navy where he served in the South Pacific. During World War II and the Korean Conflict, he sailed on the Battleship New Jersey.
On Jan. 15, 1960, he married Ruth K. Hedinger in Bellingham, Wash. After his retirement on Oct. 2, 1962, he served in the U.S. Navy Reserves, retiring on Oct. 1, 1970.
He then became employed at Chrysler Marine Corp., Midas Corp. and until 1997, was employed at Technology Plus.
He was a member of the Adrian W. Frankow Chapter 58 Disabled American Veterans, the Cleveland Johnson Post 574 American Legion, and Post 6374 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Margaret (William) Gilbert of Durham, N.H., Elizabeth Metzo of Atlanta, Ga., Christine Metzo of Lexington, Ky. and Katherine Metzo of Bloomington, Ind.; two grandsons, John and Eric Gilbert; three brothers, Frank Metzo of Erie, Pa., George Miczo of Girard, Pa. and Alexander Miczo of Mountain View, Calif.; six sisters, Anne Miczo of Carlisle, Pa., Helen Miczo and Margaret Allard, both of Erie, Martha (Henry) Leon of San Jose, Calif., Pauline (Ben) Wilson of Pleasanton, Calif. and Elizabeth Letkiewicz of Erie; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, John Miczo, Peter Metzo and Michael Miczo, and a sister, Mary Miczo.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 1 p.m. at the Bridge View Cemetery in Mt. Jewett, Pa.
The Schmidt Funeral Home of Jackson is serving the family.

Rita V. Marx
Rita V. Marx, nee Mika, of the town of Trenton, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, at her residence, at the age of 84.
She was born July 10, 1915, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to the late John and Mary (nee Throener) Mika.
Rita worked as a housekeeper in Illinois.
Following her marriage to Andrew N. Marx on Jan. 26, 1957, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the couple settled in the West Bend area. Her husband passed away in 192.
She was a member of the Christian Woman's Confraternity at Holy Trinity Church, Newburg.
Survivors include a son, Nicholas (Debora) of the town of Trenton; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Amanda, both at home; three sisters, Josephine Hile of Fort. Madison, Rosemary Jack of Galesburg, Iowa and Sr. Antoine, S.S.N.D. of St. Louis, Mo.;
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Franklin and John, and a sister, Catherine Muellner.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 7, at 12:15 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Newburg. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
