Edward Becker
Edward Becker, 68, of De Pere formerly of Hartford, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999.
The son of the late Edward and Ethel (nee Mahoney) Becker was born March 6, 1931 in Saginaw, Mich. Edward enjoyed spending time at Camp Lack-A-Buck in Forest Co., hunting, fishing and golfing. Mr. Becker was a steel salesman for many years with Tectron Tube and Wisconsin Steel & Tube and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie of DePere; sons, Mike (Jill) Becker of Hartford, David (Dana) Becker of Bellevue, Neb., and Richard (Tracy) Becker of Two Rivers; and daughter, Karen Becker and fiancee David Mikolainis of Hales Corners. He was the proud Grandpa of Ben, Lindsay and Christopher of Hartford, Matt, Jessica and Alex of Omaha, and Laura and Angie of Manitowoc. He is also survived by a brother, Bill of Seymour, and a sister, Barbara (Bob) Bugalski of Aptos, Calif. He is further survived by many friends throughout the state.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation was held at the Ryan Funeral Home at 305 N. Tenth St., DePere on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon.
A memorial fund has been established.

Elmer J. Bandle, 81
Elmer J. Bandle, 81, of Wisconsin Dells, died on Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at the Wisconsin Dells Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Elmer was born March 22, 1918, in Wet Bend, to the late Charles and Emma (nee Proeber) Bandle.
He had farmed in the Richfield, Newburg and Iron Ridge area and owned and operated the Sports Bowl in Reeseville.
He later moved to the Wisconsin Dells area where he retired.
Elmer enjoyed fishing, country music, dancing and gardening.
Survivors include his children, Fr. Ron and Dennis, both of Milwaukee, Kathleen Kemp of Tucson, Ariz., Barbara (Marvin) Malterer of Iron Ridge, Fred (Kay) of West Bend, Ted of Hustisford, Tim (Bambi) of Ashland City, Tenn., John of Hustisford, Sue Ward (fiance Dennis McDaniel) of Mayville; former spouse, Dorothy Bandle of Hustisford; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl (Betty) of Theresa; a sister Ruth (Forret) Survis of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Delores Bandle of Campbellsport; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were three sons, Elmer Jr., Gerald and Michael; a granddaughter, Michelle Malterer; four brothers, Henry, Victor, Albert and Elroy, and a sister, Helen Askelson.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Friday, Oct. 1, at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home, Portage, with Fr. Ronald Bandle officiating.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Ambrose E. Wagner, 89
Ambrose E. Wagner, 89, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, in Plymouth, while under hospice care for advanced Parkinsons Disease.
He was born July 19, 1910, in the town of Fredonia, Ozaukee County, to the late John and Regina (nee Ott) Wagner, and married Elenora Possley on Sept. 16, 1939, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, town of Belgium.
The couple farmed in the town of Sheboygan Falls until retirement.
Ambrose was a member of Saron United Church of Christ where he was also a member of the men's Brotherhood of the church and the dartball league.
He was also a member of the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department and the Johnsonville Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger (Sherri) of rural Sheboygan Falls; three daughters, Janet of Fox Point, Darlene of Milwaukee and Jean (Donald) Swanke of Boise, Idaho; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a sister, Florence (Elmer) Possley of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, Violet and Arlene Wagner, both of West Bend; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 4, at 11:30 a.m. at Saron United Church of Christ, with Rev. Jennifer Dawson and James Martin, co-pastors, officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, town of Sheboygan.
Visitation at the church only will be Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
A memorial fund has been established to the Parkinsons Disease Foundation and Saron United church of Christ.
The Zimmer Funeral Home, of Howards Grove, is serving the family.
The Wagner family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Christine Faucher, who gave Ambrose loving care during his sickness the last three years.

Michael Jon Dietrich, 34
A funeral service was held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, Tuesday for Michael Jon Dietrich, 34, who died on Nov. 25, 1999.
Mr. Dietrich was born Aug. 6, 1965, son of Palmer and Alice Dietrich. He was a 1983 graduate of Cedarburg High School and graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in civil engineering. He married Janet Kiemel on May 7, 1999 and relocated to Vernon Hills, Ill. He was a project manager for STS Consultants.
Survivors include: wife Janet Dietrich of Libertyville, Ill.; mother Alice Dietrich of Cedarburg; brother Alan (Linda) Dietrich of Madison; sister Chris (Don) Roe of Saginaw, Mich.; father- and mother-in-law Kenneth and Catherine Kiemel of Frankfort, Ill.; brothers-in-law Rick (Lyn) Kiemel of Danville, Ind. and Steve (Tami) Kiemel of New Lenox, Ill.; nephews James Dietrich, Andrew Dietrich and Joshua Kiemel; nieces Amy Roe, Rachel Roe, Sarah Kiemel, Anna Kiemel, Emily and Molly Kiemel.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Hulda M. Marquardt, 90
Hulda M. Marquardt, nee Stern, 90, formerly of rural Campbellsport, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Fond du Lac.
She was born July 6, 1909, in the town of Auburn, to the late August and Johana (nee Ebert) Stern, and on June 17, 1926, married Fred Marquardt. He passed away on Dec. 29, 1988.
Mrs. Marquardt was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Dundee.
Survivors include a son, Marvin (Lucille) of Kewaskum; four grandchildren, Dale (Beth), Paul (Karen), Randy (Deanne) Marquardt, all of West Bend, and Susan (Rev. Ben) Golisch of Martinez, Ga.; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Dundee. Rev. Richard Schliewe will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, is serving the family.

Martin G. "Marty" Marquardt, 55, of West Bend, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Wauwatosa.
He was born March 18, 1944, in Milwaukee, to the late Myrtha M. (nee Giese) Marquardt, and married Linda J. Beaston on March 28, 1970, in Moline, Ill.
He graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1962 and later attended Milwaukee School of Engineering for two years.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era, he was employed as an inhouse repairman for Ameritech Telephone Co. of Milwaukee for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mindy (Thomas Klein) Marquardt of West Bend; a brother, Ronald (Geri) of Muskego; three nieces, Cheryl (Kent) Greenwald of Muskego, Rhonda (Duane) Blum of Brookfield and Rochelle Marquardt of Muskego; other relatives and many friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the C.W.A.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, West Bend. Rev. James Ziesmer will officiate, and burial will be in Newark Cemetery, town of Barton.
Visitation at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m.
Memorials are appreciated.

Grace A. Yanke, 79
Grace A. Yanke, 79, formerly of Campbellsport, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation, Lomira, where she had been a resident.
She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Milwaukee, to the late William and Ellen (Netz) Riege, and married Melvin A. Yanke on May 20, 1938, in Milwaukee.
He passed away on April 21, 1993.
Survivors include a son, Phillip (Linda) of Campbellsport a daughter, Geraldine (Herbert) Kyler of Allenton; 10 grandchildren, James (Carol), Steven (Joyln) and Cubby Kyler, Karen Rost, Christopher and Tammy Yanke, Michael, Kenneth (Sheri), Garth and Kyle Yanke; two great-grandchildren, Steven Jr. and Amanda Kyler; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was a son, Richard on July 28, 1993.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 4 , at 11 a.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport.
Rev. Stevens Hilyard will officiate, and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
