Earl A. Ertenberg, 90
Earl A. Ertenberg, 90, of West Bend, was born to eternal rest on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1909, in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late Andrew J. and Anna C. (Johnson) Ertenberg, and married Clara Pural on Feb. 3, 1940, in Racine.
He was a sales representative for Golden Guernsey Dairy, retiring in 1974.
Earl enjoyed his retirement and got involved with the Cedar Ridge Council and School.
His wife passed away on May 10, 1982.
He was the loving dad of Larry (Jan) of Paonia, Colo., Sue (Tom) Fredenberg of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Rick (Lady Ann) of Florida and Jerry (June) of Hartford; dearest grandpa of Julie, Jill, David, Eric, Andy, Dave, Paul, Randy, Samantha and Anna; great-grandpa of James; dear brother of Homer (Helen) and; brother-in-law of Marion Pural. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Vince, and a sister, Edith.
Earl was the past president of Cedar Ridge Council.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 11:30 a.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home, Chapel of West Bend. Rev. Curtis Schowalter will officiate, and entombment will follow in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
We want everyone to know that we all were truly blessed to be loved by Earl.
Bruce A. Meyer, 43
A funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Lutheran Church of The Living Christ in Germantown for Bruce A. Meyer, 43, who died on Dec. 27, 1999. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church. Rev. John Wirth will officiate at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial will be at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Mr. Meyer was born Oct. 12, 1956 in Port Washington, son of Ralph and Marion (nee Neff) Meyer. He married Connie Riesterer on Oct. 11, 1986 in Wisconsin and worked as an insurance agent. He was the president of Lutheran Church of the Living Christ.
Survivors include: wife Connie Meyer of Germantown; parents Ralph and Marion Meyer of Cedarburg; daughters Amanda and Ashley Meyer, both of Germantown; son Michael Meyer of Germantown; sister Jo Anne (Larry) Kwiatkowski of Franklin; mother-in-law Ernestine Riesterer of School Hill; brothers-in-law Ed Riesterer of Oostburg, Dan (Carol) Riesterer of St. Nazianz and Ron (Pam) Riesterer of Newton; sisters-in-law Mary (Tom) Shad of Kiel, Theresa (Tom) Allee of Sheboygan, Margie Riesterer of School Hill and Cindy (Fred) Meyer of Adell.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Meyer Children’s Education Fund are appreciated.
Louise M. Goeppert, 84
Louise May Goeppert, nee Schaffner, 84, of West Bend, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
She was born Oct. 6, 1914, in Milwaukee, to the late Charles and Louise (nee May) Schaffner.
The late Nels and Louise Nelson served as surrogate parents after Louise's mother died in childbirth.
She married Edmund Shields in 1934. The marriage ended in 1956.
In 1979 Louise married Joseph Goeppert in West Bend. They lived a full life in West Bend where Joseph continues to work at Mill Tool and Manufacturing.
Survivors include her husband; three children, James (Marlene) Shields of Hartford, Sherry Douglas of Crystal Lake, Ill. and Margaret Shields of Littleton, Colo.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Louise donated her body to the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Memorials to the charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
Martin B. Chesak, 92
He was born March 6, 1907, in Newburg, to the late John and Clara (nee Seidemann) Chesak, and married Loretta C. thelen at Holy Angels Rectory, Wet Bend.
After their marriage, they lived in Kewaunee for a short time, and then returned to the Newburg area whee they pruchased the Chesak family homestead.
The couple alsoowned and operated Chesak's Inn.
Martin was a well known and liked person in the Newburg community where he was an honorary member of the newburg Fire Department.
His wife passed awayNov. 16, 1974.

Survivors include six children, Roy (Marilee) of Sorrento, Fla., Bonnie (Dan) Koch of Glidden, Bill (Marc), Harry (Kay), Sandra (Andy) Mayer and Mary (Bill) Kobernik, all of Newburg; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Chesak of Newburg; 33 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marcella Chesak of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two sons, John "Jack" and Harvey; a granddaughter, Linda Chesak; five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Newburg, with Pastor Jon Baumann officiating. Burial will be Friday at 9 a.m. in Union Cemetery, Newburg.
Visitation at the church only will be Thursday from 4 to 6:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of St.John's Lutheran Church, Newburg, or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Scott L. Bricko, 27
Scott L. Bricko, 27, of the town of Polk, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, in the town of Polk.
He was born Aug. 8, 1972, in Hartford, to Vernon and Shirley (nee Thym) Bricko, and was raised in Slinger.
He graduated from Slinger High School in 1990, attended MATC, Milwaukee, for two years in business administration and received a BA degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Scott had been employed at Scenic Traveler of Slinger for more than nine years.
Survivors include his father Vernon (Nancy) of Mukwonago; a brother, Brian (Elizabeth) of Slinger; a niece, Nichole Bricko of Slinger; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.
His mother, Shirley, preceded him in death.
He was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Slinger.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Slinger. Pastor Paul N. Reede will officiate, and burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Manchester Cemetery, Manchester, Wis.
Visitation at the church only will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
The Phillip Funeral Home, Slinger, is serving the family.
Richard N. Bell
Richard N. Bell of West Bend died on Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999 at his residence. He was 41 years old.
He was born on Sept. 2, 1958 to Donald and Eileen (nee Fehring) Bell in West Bend. He was a graduate of St. Francis Cabrini School and then graducated from West Bend West in 1976 where he had been an avid swimmer. He obtained his Realtors Brokers License in 1977. Rich was a director and executive vice president of Continental Properties Company, Inc., a company that he co-founded in 1979. He oversaw construction and development activities for the company and helped it grow to become a nationally receognized leader in the real estate development industry.
He is survived by his parents, three sisters, Marjorie (Charles) Schellinger of West Bend, Janet (Thomas) Waldhart of Hubertus, and Ann Bell of Austin, Texas; three brothers, Gordon (Rhonda) of West Bend, Alan (Sharon) of West Bend, and Brian (Melanie) of West Bend; and eleven nieces and nephews, Kurt Schellinger, Claire, Emily, David and Rachel Waldhart, Spencer and Leah Bell, Patrick, Nicolas, Chrisotpher and Penny Bell. He is further survived by other realtives and friends.
He was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church and had received the Entrepreneur of 1987 award.
Visitation was held at the Phillip Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 29 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., and also on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the closing of the casket prayers.
The closing of the casket prayers will be on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Church of West Bend. Father Kenneth Mich will officiate. Interment will be at Washington Co. Memorial Park following the Mass.
Lillian A. Rix, 86
A funeral service was held on Tuesday at Divine Word Catholic Church for Lillian A. Rix, 86, who died on Dec. 2, 1999.
Burial was at St. Francis Borgia. Schramka-Gunther Funeral Home, Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Survivors include: daughter Georgiann (Robert) Poggenburg; son James (Margaret) Rix; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Burederle, Ruth Herziger.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Lilian B. Monroe
Lilian B. Monroe, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 97, born on June 9, 1902, in the Town of Erin (Hartford, WI), was called into Eternal Life at Theda Clark Medical Center on Nov. 18, 1999.
She was the daughter of late Anton and Margaret (Schroeder) Goetz. Lilian had been a Menasha resident since 1951 where she and her husband owned and operated Monroe’s Clothing Store until retiring in 1967. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cyril J. Monroe in 1974; her sisters Margaret, Catherine, and Cecelia; her brothers, Joe and Raymond. Lilian is survived by a brother, Francis (Evelyn) Goetz, West Bend, two daughters, Hazel (Leland) Lohr, Hartford; Rita Monroe, Larsen; two sons, Cyril (Betty) Monroe, Rhinelander; Edward (Mary) Monroe, Greenville; a devoted friend, Madeleine Dishno, Larsen; seven grandchildren, Michael (Nancy) Monroe, West Bend; Patrick (Pam) Monroe, Pelican Lake; Carolyn (Brad) Hoffmann, Delafield; Colleen Monroe Appleton; Daniel Monroe, Greenville; 13 great-grandchildren, Jenny, Kristin, Mark, Paul, Kara, Jill, Amy, Steven, Markie, Paige, Jacob, Sammy and Sarah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. Funeral services were held Nov.22 at. St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha, Rev. Robert Lussier officiating. Interment, St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha.144444
