George Olson, 62
George Olson, 62, of West Bend, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 12, 1936, in Milwaukee, to the late Young and Anna (nee Goggelmann) Olson, and married Nancy Knight on Nov. 16, 1957, in Milwaukee.
George was self-employed as the operator of Olson's Carpet Service.
He had a passion for fishing.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Sue (Kevin) Kedinger and Scott (Laura), both of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Jamie Kedinger, Jake Kedinger, Lindsey Kedinger, Travis Olson, Spencer Olson, Victoria Olson and Aubree Olson; a sister, Dyan (Ed) Wergin of Racine; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was a sister Delores Totman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Bryan O'Connor of St. Andrew Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend, will officiate, and burial will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Milwaukee.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

James W. Kissel
James W. Kissel, 83, of Glenview, Ill., passed away Sept. 8, 1999. Beloved husband of Penelope J. and the late Katherine V.; loving father of Jonathan (Pamela) and Mary (Jim) Escalante; cherished grandfather of Sarah, Hannah and Willy Kissel and William, Paul and Leah Escalante; devoted son of the late Adolph and Lillian Kissel; dearest brother of Lester (Alice) Kissel, Betsy Kissel Schultz and the late Orville and Milton.
Mr. Kissel was born in Hartford in 1915. He was an heir to the Kissel Car Company, which made fine automobiles and trucks in the 1920s. Mr. Kissel served as a supply officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a 1932 graducate of Hartford High School and attended the University of Wisconsin where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Fraternity, Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, Northwetern University, and John Marshall Law School. He was an active partner with the law firm of Sidney & Austin, where he practiced for more than 50 years. His accolades include being president of the Chicago Bar Association, a distinguished member of the Society of Trial Lawyers, and a "Fellow" in the American Trial Lawyers College. He represented the interests of several well known Chicagoans, including P.K. Wrigley, Mohammed Ali, J.D. Searle, as well as Illinois Bell Telephone Company. He spearheaded several cases before the Illinois Supreme Court, lectured extensively and authored many legal works.
James dedicated much of his life to working with youths in the Glenview Little League where he managed baseball teams for more than 17 years and earned five champoinships during that time.
Visitation was held Friday, Sept. 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. at Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 1104 Waukegan Rd., Glenview, Ill. There will also be a visitation on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at Maresh-Meredith & Aclam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., Racine.
Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Racine.

Richard Liss, 68
A memorial service was held Wednesday at St. Adalbert Cemetery Chapel, Milwaukee, for Richard Liss, 68, who died on Nov. 14, 1999. Bruskewitz Forest Lane Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
He was a retired employee for Inland Ryerson Steel Company.
Survivors include special friend Clarice Rex.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (nee Orvis) Liss.
Aloysius Harter, 87
Aloysius Harter, 87, of Ke-waskum, formerly of Antigo, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan.
He was born Aug. 26, 1912, in Guttenberg, Iowa, to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Wessel) Harter, and on July 9, 1935, married Bertha Werner at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Joseph (Janice) of West Bend; a daughter, Mary (Raymond) Bies of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Jill (Paul) Rhoads, Joel (Stephanie) Harter, Jason (Kristin) Harter, Joshua Harter, Debra (Tim) Otto, Lori (Bill) Neider and Dan Bies; seven great-grandchildren, Justin, David and Scott Rhoads, Brook Fulcer, Evan Otto, Logan Harter and Ayriana Benz; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Adolph, and a sister, Sister Frances Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, at St. Wenzel Catholic Church, Neva. Father Jeremiah Worman will officiate, and entombment will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Antigo.
Visitation at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until services.
Gene G. Kimla, 44
Gene G. Kimla, 44, of West Bend, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 6, 1954, in Port Washington, to Eugene F. and Christine R. (nee Korneli) Kimla.
He grew up in Newburg, and since 1992 had lived at the Columbus House Group Home, West Bend.
Gene was employed by the Threshold Sheltered Workshop where he was responsible for various tasks.
This past Sunday, Gene was the recipient of a very special gift. The local H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group), Chapter of West Bend Harley Davidson, gave him a ride in a side car. This event had a special meaning for him, as he enjoyed bikes of all types, especially his three-wheel cycle.
Survivors include his parents, Gene and Christine of Newburg; a brother, Jed of Newburg; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend. Fr. Robert Sampon will officiate, and burial will be Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Newburg.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to the Threshold Sheltered Workshop are appreciated.
Raymond ‘Buck’ Weis, 85
Raymond "Buck" Weis, 85, of Campbellsport, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at the St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac.
He was born Jan. 27, 1914, in Campbellsport, to the late Henry and Anna (Kraus) Weis, and married Margaret Haegler on Feb. 7, 1934, at St. Matthew's Church, Campbellsport.
Ray operated a grocery store in Dundee and then moved to Campbellsport in 1948 and was the owner-operator of Weis' Tavern.
Ray enjoyed hunting and especially camping and fishing at Star Lake with Art Berge and John Meyer.
He was a member of the Campbellsport Volunteer Fire Dept., the Campbellsport Lions Club, St. Matthew's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Tavern League Association.
Ray sponsored a number of different teams and enjoyed bowling for many years.
Survivors include his wife; children, Jerome (Bev) of Loveland, Colo., Eileen (Don) Klein of Kewaskum, Barbara (Eric) Falk of Campbellsport, Mike (Sheila) of Campbellsport and Marjean Weis of Campbellsport; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Valeria (Leo H.) Ketter of Campbellsport, and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a son, Lewis, and a grandson, Joseph Klein.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Campbellsport, following a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport.
Rev. Francis Malloy will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated to St. Matthew's Building Fund or St. Matthew's School.
Carl E. Beck, 81
Carl E. Beck, 81, of Adell, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
He was born June 3, 1918, in the town of Barton to the late Albert and Anna (nee Lang) Beck, and attended Holy Angels School and West Bend High School, graduating in 1936.
On June 20, 1942, he married Dorothy H. Sauer at Immaculate Conception Church, West Bend. The couple farmed the family farm in West Bend until 1948 when they moved to the Adell area and continued farming.
In 1965 they built a home on a 40-acre wooded section of land. Carl started working at Tecumseh Products in Sheboygan Falls, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Adell, since 1948 and served as a parish trustee for many years. He continued to be active in the church, helping whenever needed.
Carl had an active retirement becoming a skilled woodworker, creating many beautiful furniture pieces for his family.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ralph (Jean) of Grafton, Jerry (Janet) of Random Lake and Ron (Linda) of Kewaskum; four daughters, Karen (Bill) Breitzman of Campbellsport, Joanne (Larry) Herzberg and Diane (Dale) Goschey, both of Random Lake and Mary (Bob) Andrew of Harrison Township, Mich; 11 granddaughters; nine grandsons; two sisters, Angeline Schladweiler of West Bend and Margaret Schrauth of Chico, Calif.; a brother, Eugene (Rose) of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, Malinda Beck of West Bend and Agnes Gundrum of Allenton; a brother-in-law, Art (Annabelle) Sauer of Thorp; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother and three brothers-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Adell, with Fr. Richard Cerpich presiding. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Monday from 4 to 9 p.m., and also Tuesday at the church only from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Victor E. Bublitz, 73
Funeral services will be held today at David's Star Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jackson, for Victor E. Bublitz, 73, who died at his home on Dec. 2, 1999.
Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m., with Rev. James Schulz officiating at the 2 p.m. funeral. Burial will be at David's Star Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Mr. Bublitz was born May 29, 1926 in Jackson, son of the late Christian and the late Ida (nee Heidtke) Bublitz. He married Beatrice Matter on May 22, 1948.
Mr. Bublitz worked as a meter tester for Badger Meter for 32 years. He belonged to three different card clubs for more than 50 years, was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Badger Meter and was also a member of the Jackson Senior Citizens. He also attended David's Star Lutheran Church.
Survivors include wife Beatrice Bublitz of Cedarburg; sons Robert (Linda) Bublitz of Grafton and Kenneth (Shirley) Bublitz of Cedarburg; daughter Sandy (Glenn) Thurs of Cedarburg; brothers Erwin (Lucy) Bublitz of Milwaukee and Rudolph (Roma) Bublitz of Grafton; grandchildren Jason (Kelly) Bublitz, Missy Bublitz and Mike Bublitz, all of Grafton, Laurie (Rob) Lewis of Port Washington, Carrie (Mike) Baumann of West Bend, Jody Bublitz of Cedarburg, and Jenny Thurs and Sarah Thurs, both of Cedarburg; great-grandchild Jacob Bauman of West Bend; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandson Jeff, one sister and two brothers.
