Harold ‘Snuffy’ Pritchard, 77
Harold "Snuffy" Pritchard, 77, of Beaver Dam, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital, Beaver Dam.
He was born June 22, 1922, in Beaver Dam, to the late John and Etta (nee Freeman) Pritchard.
He was employed at Beaver Ready Mix for 38 years, and was a former member of First Baptist Church of Beaver Dam.
Survivors include seven children, Charles (Pam) of Fall River, Richard Sr. (Audrey), Lauretta (Clifford) Kikkert and Diane (Edward) Surprise, all of Beaver Dam, John of Baraboo, Shirley (Gene) Smith of Rosholt and Debra (Gene) Gossen of Athelstane; three sisters, Helen Kasmiski and Myrtle (Paul) Weber, both of Beaver Dam and Katherine Reuteler of Monument, Colo.; two brothers, Ronald of Beaver Dam and Roger (Sylvia) of Duluth, Ga.; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, William and Eugene.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. Rev. Robert I. Johnson will officiate, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Marlin G. Kocher, 81
Marlin G. "Marley" Kocher, 81, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday Sept. 23, 1999 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital.
He was born Nov. 16, 1917 in Kewaskum to the late Albert (Antonie Belger) Kocher, and married Helene M. McCartney on Dec. 24, 1943 at Zaboth Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
He was born and raised in Kewaskum and graduated with the Class of 1935. After high school, he farmed until 1942, when he moved to West Bend and was employed at the Koehring Company. He served with the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. After the service, he continued working for the Koehring Company of Milwaukee for over 42 years, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of the VFW Post 1393 of West Bend and past member of the Loyal Order of Moose of West Bend.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Marlene (David) Jaeger of Houston, Tex., James (Judith) of Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Corinne Kocher of Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Daniel Jaeger of Houston, Tex., Michael (Michelle) Jaeger of Plainfield, N.H., Jonathan (Mary) Jaeger of Liberty, Kan., Kimberly (Robert) Williams of Waterford, Brandon Kocher of Fort Atkinson, Nathan and Travis Davis of Seattle, Wash.; three great-grandchildren, Katie and Matthew Jaeger and Calley Becht; a sister-in-law, Lucille Kocher of West Bend; faithful companion, Buttons, and nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26 at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend. Pastor Victor Hackbarth will officiate, and visitation will take place at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
Marjorie Rodenkirch
Marjorie Rodenkirch, 90, of the town of Farmington passed away on Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in West Bend.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1909 in the town of Farmington, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Jessie (Row) Woog. On June 21, 1934 she was united in marriage to Wallace Rodenkirch at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michael’s. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1985.
Prior to her marriage, she was a teacher in Washington County area schools. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia and a member of the Boltonville Fire Department Auxillary.
Survivors include four children, Norman (Shelia) of Chelsea, Mich., Russell (Darlene) of Waukesha, Mark (Gloria) of Kewaskum and Peg (Robert) Lyons of Middleton; two sisters, Iva Donath and Mildred (Leslie) Weiss, both of West Bend; 14 grandchildren, Todd Rodenkirch, Lisa Rodenkirch, Renee (Dan) Kaehler, Michele (Peter) Wiedmeyer, Mark Rodenkirch, John (Lori) Rodenkirch, Andrew Lyons, Betsy Lyons, Jessica Rodenkirch, Ben Rodenkirch, Christine Mignano, Kathleen Mignano, Joseph Mignano and Michael Mignano; six great-grandchildren, Brett, Cassie and Zachary Kaehler, Matthew Rodenkirch, Tricia and Ashley Wiedmeyer; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. today at Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia with Rev. Barry Watson officiating. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Sunday in the St. Michael’s Catholic Church Cemetery in St. Michael’s.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of services at the church only today.
Memorials in Marjorie’s memory may be given to Zion United Methodist Church of the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.

Arnold H. Seidensticker, 94
Arnold H. Seidensticker of West Bend died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, West Bend, at the age of 94.
He was born July 11, 1905 in Jackson to the late Henry and Minnie (nee Buening) Seidensticker. He married Dorothy Schoenbeck on July 17, 1937 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Jackson.
After their marriage, the couple moved to West Bend. Arnold was employed as an electrician at Regal Ware in Kewaskum for many years, retiring in 1970, and he was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Raymond (Ardy) Seidensticker of Bradenton and Robert (Lois) Seidensticker of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Mark (Cheryl) Seidensticker, Scott (Janet) Seidensticker, Tammy (John) Sheffert, Lisa (Michal) Jesse, Jeff (Laura) Seidensticker, James (Amy) Seidensticker and Sara (Scott) Huntington; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Gertrude Eberhardt of Cedarburg; a brother, Carl (Laura) Seidensticker of Cedarburg; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service with the family will be held on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Bend, with Rev. George Mumm officiating. Visitation with the family will be at the church on Monday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.

Arthur J. Goeden, 94
Arthur J. Goeden, 94, of West Bend, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, West Bend.
He was born Aug. 24, 1905, in the town of Trenton, to the late John and Anna (nee Stoffel) Goeden.
In 1925 he moved to West Bend with his parents.
Arthur was employed at the former West Bend Woolen Mills, and then as a machinist at Pick Manufacturing.
He was a 78-year member of Holy Angels Court 458 Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include a sister, Celestine "Sally" Goeden of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Leo, Walter and Clarence, and two sisters, Lydia Goeden and Amanda Schille.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Church. Fr. Gerald Brittain will be the presider, and burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until a prayer vigil at 8 p.m., and also Wednesday morning prior to the services.
Russell W. Schneider, 75
Russell William Schneider, 75, of Kewaskum, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Canton, S.D. to the late LeRoy and Isabelle (nee Mitchell) Schneider, and married Dorothy D. Gullickson on Feb. 10, 1944, in Mitchell, S.D.
After serving in the U.S. Navy during World war II, he was employed at John Morrells of South Dakota as a meat cutter for over 20 years, and later was employed at The West Bend Co. for over 18 years.
He loved coaching Little League for many years and was an avid bowler, and enjoyed camping and fishing.
His greatest enjoyment was his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Bonnie Erickson (Michael Ruvin) of Milwaukee, Russell (Janice) of LaVerne, Minn., Linda Kiekhaefer (Joe Lidington) of West Bend and Gerald of Fond du Lac; a son-in-law, Hubert Scott (special friend Lou Ann Heppe) of West Bend; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lyle of Howard, S.D.; three sisters, Esther Beck of Watertown, S.D., Opal Kaverinis and Lois Hoffman, both of Howard S.D.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Connie Scott, and four brothers, Lloyd, Francis, Loraine and James.
He was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, West Bend, and the American League of Kewaskum.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church. Pastor William Dushek will officiate, and cremation will take place at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m.

Theodore J. ‘Ted’ Mueller, 83
Theodore J. "Ted’ Mueller, 83, of Nabob, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, West Bend.
He was born Nov. 6, 1915, in Nenno to the late John and Eleanor (nee Bath) Mueller.
After his marriage to Marie M. Gundrum on May 8, 1940, at Sacred Heart Church, Allenton, they settled on a farm in Nabob, which they worked together until becoming residents of the Cedar Lake Health Care Center. For a while, he was also a school bus driver.
Ted was a member of the St. Matthias Men's Society, the Catholic Order of Foresters Court in Theresa and the Gold Star Fathers.
Survivors include his wife; seven children, Ted (Bernice) of West Bend, Anna Reinders of Lomira, David (Chris) and Beverly (Steve) Styve, both of West Bend, LaVern (Gene) Kauper of Hartford, Bonnie (Donald) Yogerst of Richfield and Dorothy (Harry) Bitz of Milwaukee; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert (Johanna) of Hartford; three sisters, Beatrice Randall of Rice Lake, Virginia Mueller and Theresa Justinger, both of West Bend; four sisters-in-law, Lodie Gundrum of West Bend, Agnes Gundrum of Allenton, Sr. Herma Gundrum of Whitefish Bay and Delores Gundrum of Hartford; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her him in death were a son, Robert; a great-grandchild, Mickey Wolfram; and a sister, Alberta Maki.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 30, at 9:45 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthias Church, Nabob. Fr. Alois Van Beek will be the presider, and burial will follow in St. Matthias Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., and also Thursday morning prior to the services.
