Aloysius Harter, 87
Aloysius Harter, 87, of Ke-waskum, formerly of Antigo, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan.
He was born Aug. 26, 1912, in Guttenberg, Iowa, to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Wessel) Harter, and on July 9, 1935, married Bertha Werner at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Joseph (Janice) of West Bend; a daughter, Mary (Raymond) Bies of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Jill (Paul) Rhoads, Joel (Stephanie) Harter, Jason (Kristin) Harter, Joshua Harter, Debra (Tim) Otto, Lori (Bill) Neider and Dan Bies; seven great-grandchildren, Justin, David and Scott Rhoads, Brook Fulcer, Evan Otto, Logan Harter and Ayriana Benz; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Adolph, and a sister, Sister Frances Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, at St. Wenzel Catholic Church, Neva. Father Jeremiah Worman will officiate, and entombment will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Antigo.
Visitation at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until services.
Wallace C. Margelowsky, 72
Wallace C. Margelowsky of Hartford passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999 at Hartford Memorial Hospital. He was 72 years old.
He was born Dec. 11, 1927 in Rubicon to Walter and Amanda (Gensmer) Margelowsky.
He was employed as a trucker of bulk coolers and later as a welder at Midas International. Wallace was a member of the local union at Midas and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Wallace is survived by two sons, Wayne (Diann Pruitt) and Todd, both of Hartford; two daughters, Debra (Craig) Kodai of California and Kim (Fred) Peters of Hartford; dear friend, Dorothy Margelowsky-Poole of Hartford; six grandchildren, Michelle Peters, Abbie Peters, Stephanie Margelowsky, Carrie Krohn, Scott (Shawna) Kodai and Brian (Cindy) Kodai; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Marie) of California and John (Marlene) of Hustisford; a sister, Sally (Darwin) Martinson of Iron Ridge; brother-in-law, Marvin Kluge of Iron Ridge; and sister-in-law, Barbara (Charlie) Borchardt of Brookfield. Wallace is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Terry; his parents; a brother, James; and sister, Donna.
Funeral Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 26 at 6 p.m. at Shimon Funeral Home with Father Michael Petrie officiating. The family greeted relatives and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hartford Memorial Hospital Foundation are appreciated.
Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Gerald T. Krcil
Gerald T. Krcil, 41, of West Bend died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at his residence at the age of 41.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1957, in Armour, S.D., to Leo and Luella (nee Richardson) Krcil and married Marjorie Meyer on Aug. 11, 1989 in West Bend.
As a child, his family moved to West Bend. After graduating from West Bend High School, he attended Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, where he received an associate degree in industrial engineering.
He was employed at various locations and at the time of his death he was a quality assurance manager at Pereles Brothers. He had a number of hobbies and past-times.
He was very accomplished and dedicated to radio remote car racing. Aside from spending time with his family, he was a regular participant at the race track at Jansen Park.
Survivors include his wife, Margie; three children, Nicole Meyer (fiance John Quillan of Chandler, Ariz. Shawn Hansen (special friend Jane Marti) of Onalaska and Troy Hansen of West Bend; his mother, Luella Krcil of West Bend; one aunt, Vara Richardson of Geddes, S.D.; his mother-in-law, Florence J. Meyer of Hatley; three brothers-in-law, Fred (Tracy) Meyer and Jack Meyer, both of West Bend, and Carl "Corky" (Sue) Meyer of Kewaskum; one sister-in-law, Joyce (Dennis) Held of Hatley; 12 nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and great-nephews; special family friends Becca Meyer, Kevin Haendel, Kathy and Tom Moen, Tom Holtz and Bill Sullivan; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father and father-in-law, Fred Meyer.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with Father Gerald Brittain officiating. Private burial services will be at Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday at the home from 5-7:45 p.m.
Ervin M. Mintzlaff, 85
A memorial service was held yesterday at the Gunderson Funeral Home in Madison for Ervin M. Mintzlaff, 85, who died on Nov. 25, 1999. Rev. Shirley Funk officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Gunderson Funeral Home.
Mr. Mintzlaff was born Jan. 13, 1914 in Cedarburg, son of William and Ethel Mintzlaff. He married Inez Kukcuk in 1941. He worked for Oscar Mayer in the 1950s and at Truax Field in Madison during the 1960s.
Survivors include: sons Jeff (Janis) Mintzlaff of Madison, Bill (Linda) Mintzlaff of Orlando, Fla; grandchildren Karl Peterson of Madison, James Mattox of Florida and Amanda Harod of Florida; and sister Ethel (Ervin) Sievers of Cedarburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez, parents, sister Bernice, brother Winfred and sister Louise.
Ruth P. Hermann
Ruth P. Hermann, nee Diekmeier, of West Bend passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999 at the Cedar Lake Home Campus, West Bend. She was 82 years old.
She was born July 20, 1917 to Henry and Elizabeth, nee Meier, Diekmeier, and married Raymond Hermann on Dec. 26, 1939.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Russell (Sally) of Oak Creek and Dennis of Milwaukee; two daughters, Janice (John) Priesgen of Hartford and Deborah of Milwaukee; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and four sisters, Joyce (Al) Schmidt of Eagle River, Betty (Ed) Tripplett of Milwaukee, Lois (Don) Zwolinski of Rhinelander, and Donna Diekmeier of Rochester, N.Y; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, son David, and sisters, June (Bob) Jung and Dorothy Diekmeier.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home with Rev. Verlin Wandrey officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment was at Union Cemetery, Brothertown.
The family is served by Shimon Funeral Home.
Cheryl A. Anadell
Cheryl A. Anadell, 46, (nee Albinger) of West Bend died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at her residence at the age of 46.
She was born June 24, 1953, in West Bend to Robert and Lucille (nee Strupp) Albinger and married Gary Anadell on Dec. 28, 1990, in West Bend.
After graduating from West Bend High School in 1972, she attended St. Mary’s School of Radiology Technology in Milwaukee. Following her graduation in 1974, she became employed at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital in West Bend until October of 1998.
Cheryl was very active in her children’s activities. She was a sports mom and the best fan for Tony’s, Julie’s and Sarah’s athletic activities. She volunteered at Holy Angels School, and was a member of the West Bend High Schools Athletic Booster Club. She was also very active in the West Bend Relay For Life.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Anthony Bradt, Julie Bradt and Sarah Bradt, all of West Bend; her mother of West Bend; two sisters, Mary Jane Albinger of West Bend and Susan (James) Pable of Green Bay; one brother, Steven (Sherri) Albinger of Jackson; her parents-in-law, Leon and Delores (nee Steffen) Anadell of Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law, Carol (Claude) Bernier of New Berlin and Cheryl (Douglas) Calies of West Bend; nieces and nephews, Rebecca and Andrew Pable, Robert and Melissa Albinger and Andrea, Brian and Nate Bernier; special friends Gerald and Sandy Bradt and Stuart and Patricia Bradt, all of West Bend; Steven and Deanna Bradt of California and Shelly Bradt of Allenton; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father on April 21, 1982.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Church with Father Jerome Repenshek officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the prayer vigil at 8 p.m., and Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund or to and education fund for Tony, Julie and Sarah.
Nicholas L. Galligan, 19
Nicholas L. Galligan, 19, of N3593 Mitchell Road, Campbellsport died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999 in the town of Eden as a result of injuries received in an auto accident.
He was born on July 24, 1980 in Fond du Lac, the son of Robert and Gayle Rochwite Galligan.
He graduated from Waucousta Lutheran Grade School in 1995 and from Campbellsport High School in 1999.
He was employed at Hahn Pole Buildings in Hartford. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dundee.
He was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed bow hunting.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Gayle; sisters and brother Bobbi Jo of Waupun and Crystal, Kayla and Troy, all at home; grandparents, Darleen Rochwite and Donald and Virginia Galligan, all of Campbellsport; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Stewart Rochwite.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dundee.
Rev. Richard Schliewe will officiate and burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport, and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Memorials are appreciated to Waucousta Lutheran School Gymnasium Fund.
Dolores A. Koch
Dolores A. Koch, 84, nee Morawetz, of West Bend died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital in West Bend at the age of 84.
She was born Oct. 24, 1914 in West Bend to the late Joseph and Alma (nee Schulz) Morawetz.
She married Rueben Koch on June 8, 1940, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1993.
Dolores and Rueben owned and operated Park Service Station and Hickory Valley Orchard in West Bend for many years.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Bend, and the St. John’s Ladies Guild.
She also loved gardening and playing cards in several card clubs.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Steven) Gonske of Stevens Point; a grandson, Jeffrey Gonske of Stevens Point; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Rev. George Mumm will officiate. Burial will follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patton Funeral Home in West Bend on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
