Miland P. Biertzer, 76
Miland P. Biertzer, 76, of Mayville, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at Rocky Knoll Nursing Home, Plymouth.
He was born March 18, 1923, in Farmersville, to the late Peter and ida (nee Meyer) Biertzer, and married Mary Ann Garms on Aug. 20, 1955, at St. Mary's Church, Mayville.
He was a brake press operator at Maysteel Corp. for 29 years, retiring in 1985. Earlier he had been a milk hauler and a construction worker for Mayville Construction Co.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville the Quarter Century Club of Maysteel and Ducks Unlimited.
He enjoyed gardening and playing cards, especially heart sheepshead and euccher.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Thomas of Mayville, Steven of Cedarburg and Gary of Mayville; a daughter, Joellen Biertzer of Mayville; two grandchildren, Cassie Jo and Shane; two brothers, , Donald (Bernie) and James (Mary), both of West Bend; three sisters, Goldie Schmidt of Random Lake, Beady (Norman) Dahm of Wautoma and Joanne (David) Lentz of West Bend; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday Aug. 26, at noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville.
Father Charles Wester officiated, and burial was in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Fond du Lac.
The Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, served the family.
Glen E. Grinwald
Glen E. Grinwald of Rubicon passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999 at his residence. He was 74 years old.
He was born March 12, 1925 in Rubicon to Edward and Rosella (nee Schield) Grinwald. He married Rosemary Klink on June 19, 1948 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rubicon.
Glen is survived by his wife Rosemary; four daughters Kathleen (Keith) Kindt of Hartford, Marilyn (Kenneth) Reiser of Slinger, Cheryl (Richard) Gehring of Hartford and Patricia (James) Gehring of Slinger; one son Robert (Barbara) Grinwald of Rubicon; eight grandchildren Marcus (Gina) Reiser, Bart, Brent and Becky Grinwald, Kate, Gus, Jimmy and Cora Gehring; three brothers Lawrence (Rose) Grinwald of Slinger, Russel (Grace) Grinwald of Rubicon and Edward Grinwald of Florida; two sisters Shirley (Harvey) Maher of Florida; two brothers-in-law Wilfred Lisko of Slinger and Bernard Day of Hartford. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held at the Shimon Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 3:30 to 6:45 p.m. Funeral services followed at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial was then held at 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rubicon.
Interment was Wednesday morning at St. John’s Cemetery.
EVERETT F. BECKER
EVERETT F. BECKER, 90, Hartford, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at the Hartford Care Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Aug. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Kilian’s Church, Hartford.
Visitation at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, will be Monday from 3:30 to 6 p.m.. 673-9500.
Elroy O. Butzke, 79
Elroy O. Butzke, 79, of Kewaskum, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in West Bend.
He was born Sept. 7, 1920 in the town of Auburn, the son of the late Louis and Hannah (Arndt) Butzke and on May 3, 1940 he was united in marriage to Lucille Backhaus at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.
Mr. Butzke was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. He was employed by the West Bend Co. in West Bend for more than 30 years and was a member of the 25-Year Club.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Lucille of Cedar Lake Health Care Center; two sons, Robert (Carol) Butzke of Slinger and Thomas Butzke of Green Bay; four daughters, Bonnie (Thomas) Skrentny of Sun Prairie, Mary Woolman of Winston Salem, N.C., Jan (Rev. Robert) Laubenstein of Green Bay and Kelly (Dr. Craig) Rosenthal of Lomira; 11 grandchildren two great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum with Rev. Eric Kirkegaard officiating. Private burial will be Friday in Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. at the church only Thursday.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum is serving the family.
Kathleen M. Fischer, 43
A funeral service was held Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Washington, for Kathleen M. Fischer, 43, of Port Washington, who died Nov. 30, 1999 at Columbia Hospital, Milwaukee.
Father Mike Barrett led the service, with burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Port Washington. Arrangements were handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton.
Miss Fischer was born in Milwaukee on June 19, 1956, daughter of the Andrew and Aileen (nee Lechnir) Fischer.
She worked as an assembler at Simplicity Mfg. in Port Washington.
Survivors include her mother Aileen Fischer of Port Washington; son Jacob (Mary) Budreck of Cedarburg; sisters Lauri (Ken) Schultz of Grand Banc, Mich., Denise (Jason) Lamoreaux of Campbellsport and Andrea (Brian) Ellestad of Grafton; brother Gary (Toni) Fischer of Port Washington; grandson Noah Budreck of Cedarburg; fiance Gene Swatek of Port Washington; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Fischer.
Harvey T. Hembel
Harvey T. Hembel, 86, of the town of Polk, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at St.Michael's Hospital, Milwaukee.
He was born Oct. 29, 1912, in Mayfield, to the late Jacob and Frances (nee Hassmer) Hembel, and married Lorraine E. Hansen on July 12, 1947, in Dubuque, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Floyd, Georgia and Donna; grandchildren; a brother, Walter (Martha); a sister, Ruth Wieseke; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ, Jackson.
Private services were held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. Pastor William L. Wiederanders officiated, and burial was in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Memorials to new Hope UCC, Jackson, are appreciated.
Imelda J.'Jean' Paquet, 69
Imelda J. 'Jean' Paquet, nee Shroble, of Newburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
She was born Aug. 7, 1930, in Green Bay, to the late Alvin and Leona (nee Manning) Shroble.
She was a retired employee of St. Michael's Hospital, Milwaukee.
Survivors include four children, Paul (Yvonne) of Ixonia, Lori (Greg) Nordquist of West Bend, Tricia Marquis of Temucula, Calif. and Peggy (John) Rice of Burlington; 10 grandchildren, David, Curtis and A'Lisa Paquet, Nick (Kelly) and Jessica Nordquist, Justin, Erin and Kevin Marquis, and Jordan and Connor Rice; a great-grandson, Colton Nordquist; a special friend, Lee Whiting of Milwaukee and other relatives and friends.
Private family services are pending.

Ena Pickering Munro, 93
Ena Pickering Munro, 93, passed away on Monday, Dec. 13, 1999 at Fairhaven Retirement Home in Whitewater.
She was born April 16, 1906 in Wanette, Okla., the daughter of Joseph and Frances (nee DeJarnette) Boatwright.
She married Eugene Pickering in 1928. He died in June of 1951. She married Hugh Munro of Waukesha in 1953. He died in July of 1982.
Survivors include her sister, Joy Vestal of Farmersville, Calif.; her sons, Warney (Harriet) Pickering of Janesville and Gene (Lois) Pickering of Norfolk, Va. her daughter, Sandra (William) Brown of Pineville, N.C.; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
A memorial service for Ena will be on Tuesday at 1:30 [.m. at Cesarz, Charpata & Zinnecker Funeral home-West, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha (542-6609).
Benjamin B. Kolschefski, 84
Benjamin B. 'Ben' Kolschefski, 84, of West Bend, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at his residence.
He was born July 13, 1915, in Drake, N.D., to the late Gottlieb and Juliana (nee Fandrick) Kolschefski, and married Verna ÒMaxineÓ Fraiser on Aug. 15, 1958, in Aberdeen, S.D.
Following their marriage the couple lived in Aberdeen until moving to West Bend in 1966.
Ben worked at The West Bend Co. from 1966 until retiring.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren. Ben was also an avid fisherman.
His wife passed away Nov. 7, 1978.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Kay (Dan) Sheldon of Cornucopia, and Pamela Rose of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren, Kim Sheldon, Kari Rundle, Kristi Mohn and Kip Sheldon, Michelle Thomas, Suzanne Culps and Donald Rose; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother and two sisters.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 1398 of West Bend.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Cremation will take place at Parkview Cremations, Fond du Lac.
