Larry "Wally" Cox
Browntown/Mt. Horeb - Larry "Wally" Cox, age 47 of Browntown, WI and formerly of Mt. Horeb, WI died unexpectedly on Friday, August 30, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident in Green County, WI. Wally was born May 10, 1955 in Sterling, Illinois to Fantus & Betty (Ash) Cox. He was a USA Army veteran.
He is survived by
his daughter: Kendra L. Cox (her mother: Angie Strack) of New Glarus,
his parents: Fantus & Betty Cox,
his brother: Randy (Lois) Cox,
his sisters: Cindy (Dick) Reeson,
Sandy (Rod) Mueller,
Melissa (David) Lease all of Barneveld,
and many nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents and his infant brother, Timothy.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2002 at the Barneveld American Legion Hall, 102 Wood Street with full military honors accorded.
A gathering of family and friends will follow the memorial services. In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorials to Kendra L. Cox, his daughter.

Dorothy A. Baxter
Darlington - Dorothy A. Baxter, age 82, of Darlington, WI, died on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at her sister's home surrounded by her family. The former Dorothy Adeline Ross was born on June 24, 1920 to Maise and Ella (Christianson) Ross.
She married
Joseph M. Baxter on April 22, 1944 in Purcell, Oklahoma. Mr. Baxter died on January 2, 1997. She worked at Lafayette County Manor in Darlington for 18 years. She loved sewing, flowers, and her family.
She was a founding member of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington, WI and of its WELCA.
Survivors include her children:
Mary Ann Baxter of Clarendon Hills, Illinois
Charles (Terri) Baxter of Darlington
Three Grandchildren: Lindsay, T.J., and Morgan
Her sister: Vi Breckler of Darlington
Her Brother: Jerry "Bud" Ross of California
Her Brother-in-Law: Austin (Margaret) Baxter of Platteville
And several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am on Friday, August 16, 2002 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington, WI with Rev. Todd Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Holy Rosary cemetery in Darlington, WI. Friends may call from 3-8 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2002 at the STEIL CAMACHO FUNERAL HOME, 206 E. Harriet St. Darlington, WI.

Betty Jean Disch
Mt. Vernon/Verona - Betty Jean Disch, age 74 of Mt. Vernon, WI passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2002 at St. Marys Care Center in Madison, WI after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The former Betty Jean Holcomb was born August 2, 1927 in Janesville, WI to Forrest & Hattie (Gower) Holcomb. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1945. She was employed by the Janesville Telephone Company and Parker Pen before she was united in marriage to the late Waldo "Duke" Disch on June 15, 1946. They lived in Belleville, WI and later moved to Mt. Vernon, WI. In June 1996, they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They bought the Mt. Vernon Mill in 1953 and operated it until 1978. In 1967, they purchased the Jack Bischoff farm and converted the dairy barn into a hen laying operation for 5600 laying hens. In 1970, they built a bigger chicken house, which housed 20, 000 laying hens. She enjoyed bowling and puzzles. She was a member of the Zwingli United Church of Christ of Mt. Vernon and a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
Betty Jean is survived by her 7 children: Dennis (Phyllis) Disch of Mt. Vernon, Cheryl Disch of Cambridge, Linda (Robert) Sies of Belleville, Judy (Dave) Ross of Mt. Vernon, Debra (Curt) Herfel of Verona, Terry (Melody) Disch of Mt. Horeb, Deanna (Bob) Prochaska of Blue Mounds, 17 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law: Betty Jane Disch of Verona, and Charlotte Holcomb of Janesville and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Duke, her mother and father, and her 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Glenn Danz officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison. Friends may call from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at the Ellestad Funeral Home, 500 N. 8th St., Mt. Horeb.
Robert N. Erickson
Lodi/Ridgeway - Robert N. Erickson, age 77 of Lodi, WI and formerly of Ridgeway, WI passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at the Lodi Good Samaritan Center.
He was born June 30, 1925 in Madison, WI to Bennett & Thora (Nygard) Erickson.
He was a US Navy veteran during World War II and served above the USS Owen in the South Pacific Theater.
He was married
to the former Elizabeth "Betty" Locke in 1946. Betty passed away in 1971. He, then married
the former Doris M. Moore Larson on November 15, 1971 in Blue Mounds, WI. Bob owned and operated Hi-Point Steak House in Ridgeway, WI from 1952 to 1976 when he sold it to his sons, Bob and Leif.
He loved to cook, wood work, fish, golf and hunt.
He was a member of the Madison VFW Post #1318, the Ridgeway American Legion Post and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife: Doris, his sons: Leif (Melanie) Erickson of Ridgeway, Robert P. (Bobbi) Larson, Jon (Pamela) Larson both of Mt. Horeb, Tom (Paula) Larson of Barneveld, Doug (Karen) Larson of Rathdrum, Idaho, his grandchildren: Carsen Erickson, Trevor Saint, Jesse (Carmen) Toay, Jared (Deborah) Toay, Brittany Leigh Erickson, Bennie (Heidi), Roman, Jason, Michael, Anne, Christopher, Jake, Luke and Katie Larson, Cody Hanson, Amanda, Richard and Kyle Schehr, 6 great grandchildren and a brother: Bennet Erickson of Phoenix, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, his daughter: Mary E. Toay, and his son: Steven R. Erickson.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at the ELLESTAD FUNERAL HOME, 500 N. 8th. Street, Mt. Horeb with Rev. Robert Jacobson officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Horeb Union cemetery where full military honors will be accorded. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Friday, September 13, 2002 at the Ellestad Funeral Home.
Selma Farrell
Pine Bluff/Cross Plains - Selma Farrell, age 81 of Cross Plains, WI died on Saturday, September 21,
2002 at Ingleside Nursing Home in Mt. Horeb, WI after an extended illness.
She was born April 28, 1921 in Cross Plains Township, WI to Richard & Annie
(Gerten) Farrell. She farmed with her brothers: Lester & Edwin in Pine
Bluff.
She was a member of St. Mary's Pine Bluff Catholic Church and of its Council
of Catholic Women.
Selma is survived by her brother: Lester of Pine Bluff,
her sister-in-law: Alice Farrell,
her 3nieces: Judy (Rob) Haasch,
Donna (Greg) Schneider,
Sharon (Jim) Kruswicki,
her nephew: Steven (Cindy) Farrell,
6 great nieces and nephews: Michelle, Scott, Christina, Stacey, Chad &
Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Edwin, Frederick and
Joseph in infancy, 5 sisters: Marie, Esther, Catherine, Margaret and
Dorothy.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 24, 2002
at St. Mary's of Pine Bluff Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Volkert
officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call from
4-8 PM on Monday, September 23, 2002 at St. Mary's of Pine Bluff Catholic
Church where a rosary service will be at 7:30 AM.

Albert R. Graham
Mt. Horeb, WI/Palatine, Illinois - Albert R. Graham, age 78 of Mt. Horeb, WI died on Monday, August 26, 2002 at his
home. He was born March 21, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois.
He was in the USA Navy during World War II.
He lived in Palatine, Illinois prior to moving to Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. He was a certified public accountant and a former comptroller for Alliant Energy. He also owned and operated his own accounting business. He was Mt. Horeb's municipal justice for many years.
He was a member of Mt. Horeb Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife: Mildred,
his sons: James (Jo Ann) Graham of Palatine, Illinois
Richard (Margie) Graham of Crystal Lake, Illinois,
his grandchildren: John, Jennifer, Phillip, Joseph and Blaine Graham
and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter: Mary Anne Graham.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Springdale Lutheran Church in Mt. Horeb, WI with Rev. Jeff Jacobs officiating. Friends may call after 10:00 AM on Saturday, at the Springdale Lutheran Church.
