Kapke, Mabel Lorraine
BLANCHARDVILLE - Mabel Lorraine Kapke, age 74 of Blanchardville died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at her home in Blanchardville. She was born in Madison on February 27, 1926, to William Mabel (Johnson) Sorenson. She attended grade and high school in Madison. She was married
on June 2, 1945, to Robert Alfred Kapke in Edgerton. During World War II, and before she was married
she worked for Western Union delivering telegrams in Madison. She and Robert lived in several places in Wisconsin, most recently living in Edgerton, Albany, and in 1962, they moved to Blanchardville. In her younger years she enjoyed ice and roller-skating. She loved to fish, attend softball games, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mabel is survived by her husband, Robert Kapke of Blanchardville; seven children, Roberta (Joe) Andrews of Apopka, Florida, Trudy (Neil) Blabaum of Mauston, Robert (Peggy) Kapke of Blanchardville, William (Deborah) Kapke of Clinton, Nancy (James) Uebersetzig of Cross Plains, Genevieve Kapke of Elroy and Norman Kapke of Blanchardville; four sisters, Majorie (Richard) Borchert of Jamestown, North Dakota, Marian VanderWegen of McFarland, Donna Sorenson of Madison, and Elaine (Dean) Dutcher of Stoughton; two brothers, William (Gwen) Sorenson of Cottage Grove and Robert (Shirley) Sorenson of Madison; many nieces and nephews; 30 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren, Bobbi Jo, Brian and Billie Jo; a great-grandchild; Brittany Kieffer; and a sister, Beatrice Heser; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Heser and Frank VanderWegen. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at 1:00 p.m. at the SAETHER FUNERAL HOME in Blanchardville. Reverend Mark Gruner of the Pecatonica Lutheran Parish will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the SAETHER FUNERAL HOME in Blanchardville.

MONTICELLO - Alfred Keller, Jr., age 78, of Monticello, died on Sunday, June 18, 2000, following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at ZWINGLI UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, Monticello, with the Rev. Lawrence Balleine officiating. Interment will be in Highland cemetery, Monticello. PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA - Mary Lynne (Nykl) Mayer, age 52, died on June 18, 2000, after a three and a half year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Randy; a son, William; a daughter Tina (David) Hornung; a grandson, Tyler; her mother, Betty (Jim) Virnig; sisters, Carolyn (Ralph) Walser, Bonnie (Jim) Thompson, Nancy Nykl, Elizabeth (John) Moriarty; a brother, Tom (Susan) Nykl; and many loving nephews, nieces, and other relatives. Miller, Bernadette Bonnie
MADISON - Bernadette Bonnie Miller, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 2000, at HospiceCare Inc. after a brief illness. She was born on August 15, 1918, in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Dr. Bernard and Alma (Waldorf) Finnegan. Bonnie graduated from Edgewood High School and afterwards worked as a dental assistant and later at First National Bank. She married
Lt. Col. Raymond G. Miller on December 7, 1943. Bonnie was a devoted and loving mother who always put her children first. She was very proud of each of her grandchildren and each of their talents. Bonnie is survived by her son, Thomas R. (Sue) Miller of Bedford, Texas; a daughter, Patricia (Rick) Steinhofer of Madison; four grandchildren, Ryan and Jessica Miller, and Adam and Andrew Steinhofer; a sister, Lorraine (Bill) Hughes of Madison; and a brother, Lawrence Finnegan of Rockford, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lt. Col. Raymond G. Miller, on February 21, 1999; and sister-in-law, Jean Finnegan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at BLESSED SACRAMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2131 Rowley Ave., Madison. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the family. Bonnie and her family would like to thank Dr. Mark Davis and his nurse, Rhonda, for all the wonderful care and concern they showed during her illness. MADISON - Margie M. Olson, age 79, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2000, at Manor Care Health Services. She was born on May 12, 1921, the daughter of Sam and Eva (Wiese) Ellickson. Margie graduated from West High School in 1939. On June 13, 1951, she married
Udell Dutch Olson. Margie was a retired federal employee with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She is survived by her nephews, Daniel (Susan) Murray and Sam (Chris) Ellickson; a niece, Barbara Hammond; and many other nieces and nephews. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dutch, in 1996; a sister and brother-in-law, Harriet and Leroy Murray; and a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Magee Ellickson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. MADISON - David John Riddle, infant son of Joni Noble and Christopher Riddle, Madison, entered and was baptized into eternal life on Sunday, June 18, 2000. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Dallas Knorr; maternal grandparents, James and Linda Noble, Sun Prairie; paternal grandfather, Dale (Bobby Severson) Riddle, Sun Prairie; great-grandparents, Sharon and Gary Fassbender, Waterloo; uncles, Jamie (Penny) Noble, Windsor, and Jason Riddle, Marshall. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry and Lucinda Stewart; and great-grandparents, Blanche Pixler, Edward and Joan Vurrow, and Thomas and Florence Noble. A private graveside service will be held at WASHINGTON cemetery in Waterloo. Our precious little angel, who will always be loved and never forgotten.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth, at home; three sons, Roy (Barb) Shultz of Darlington, Kenneth (Beckie) Shultz of Madison, and Loren (Mary) Shultz of Webster City, Iowa; three stepdaughters, Ruth Ann (Barry) King of Mineral Point, and Barb (Gerald) King and Vicki (Bill) Crist, both of Darlington; two sisters, Dorothy Hess of Stockton, Illinois, and Ruth Wilson of Warren, Illinois; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Allen C. Shultz will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at DARLINGTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, with the Rev. C. Phillip Burt officiating. MADISON - Meredeth M. Wild, age 81, passed away peacefully at St. Marys Care Center on Sunday, June 18, 2000. Meredeth was born on June 19, 1918, in Mazomanie. She married
Sylvan Wild on January 24, 1937, in Belvidere, Illinois. Meredeth lived in the Madison area until 1987. Following her retirement, she moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, until 1996 when she returned to Madison. Meredeth worked at Montgomery Ward and General Casualty Company. She enjoyed crocheting, working with ceramics, and traveling, and was active at the senior center in Clarksville, Tennessee. Meredeth is survived by two sons, Gerald (Joan) Wild of Madison, and Sylvan (Maria) of Clarksville, Tennessee; a daughter, Marlene Sommers of Madison; six grandchildren, Wolfy Wild, Sylvia Dunn, John (Rae Ann) Bisbee, Keri (Mark) Braithwaite, Debbie (Jim) Braund and Diane (Rudy) King; four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole, Tim and Justin; a sister, June (Roland); five brothers, Harold, Donald (Dee), Robert (Joan) DoWayne, and Richard; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, a sister, a grandson, a great-grandson, a son-in-law and a sister-in-law. JANESVILLE - Evelyn R. Yoemans, age 82, died at Rock Haven, Janesville, on Sunday morning, June 18, 2000. Evelyn was born on March 25, 1918, in Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Albert and Cora B. (Harris) Calhoun. She attended Stoughton High School and resided at Cooksville until 1955. Evelyn moved to Macon, Georgia, and lived there until returning to Wisconsin in 1986. She married
Lee Yoemans in 1962. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Loy of Crystal Lake, Illinois, and Jeanne Heinricks of Neenah; three sons, Jerry Julseth of Earlham, Iowa, John Julseth of Stoughton, and Davy Lee (Shelli) Yoemans of Perry, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Yoemans; seven brothers, Lewis, Pearlie, Andrew, Thomas, Harold, Dortha (Slim) and Frank Calhoun; and three sisters, Agnes Calhoun, Jessica Black and Pauline Kessler. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, after 10:00 a.m. at BROOKLYN LUTHERAN CHURCH, 101 Second St., with the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Graves cemetery in the Township of Rutland.
