Gertrude C. Arendt
Gertrude C. Arendt, 86, formerly of Luxemburg, died Sunday evening, April 6, 2003, at Parkview Manor Nursing Home, Green Bay.
Gertrude was born June 24, 1916, in the town of Luxemburg, to the late Engelbert and Margaret (Kelnhofer) Treml.
Her enjoyments included baking, cooking, visiting friends at the nursing home and raking her sons' lawns.
She was a member of St. Mary's Christian Mothers Society, Luxemburg.
Gertrude married
Daniel P. Arendt on Nov. 27, 1941, at St. Mary's Church, Luxemburg.
He preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1983.
Survivors include her children, Tom (Joan) Arendt, Algoma; Richard Arendt, Dan Arendt, both of Luxemburg; Jean Dalton, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Jim Dalton, Becky (Jim) Lemens, Jason (Nicole) Dalton, Nicholas Arendt; four brothers and four sisters-in-law, Edmund Treml, Casco; Leonard Treml, Anton (June) Treml, all of Luxemburg; Robert (June) Treml, Kewaunee; Regina Treml, Mayme Treml, both of Luxemburg, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy Stodola, Martha Karnopp, Peggy (Louis) Theys, all of Luxemburg; one sister-in-law, Betty Arendt, Luxemburg.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters-in-law, George Treml, Leo Treml, Jeanne Treml, Beatrice Treml; one sister and three brothers-in-law, Anna (Frank) Stodola, Joseph Stodola, Harold Karnopp; eight brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, Ben (Minnie) Arendt, Michael Arendt, George Arendt, Milton (Anna) Arendt, Joseph Arendt, Norbert Arendt, Mabel Arendt, Lucy (John) Lichterman, Lillian (Danny) Gengler.
Friends called at St. Mary's Church, Luxemburg, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 9.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the church with the Rev. Milton Suess and the Rev. Paul Paider officiating.
Entombment was in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
The McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, assisted the Arendt family.

Lawrence De Grave
Lawrence "Larry" De Grave, 52, Sugar Bush, died peacefully
Monday morning, April 7, 2003, at his home with his family at his side, following a battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 29, 1950, in Kewaunee County to the late Norman and Florence (DeGrand) De Grave.
On June 19, 1971, Larry married
Linda Umentum at Holy Trinity Church, Pine Grove.
Larry truly loved his grandchildren and was very proud of them.
His enjoyments included playing baseball, watching NASCAR races, playing cribbage, snowmobiling, bowling, hunting, and his truck driving job for PTI.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; their children, Jeffrey (Bonnie) De Grave, Sturgeon Bay; Dawn (Scott) Livingston, Sugar Bush; Greg De Grave, Bellevue, and his girlfriend (Becky Lindert); two grandchildren, Kyle De Grave, Kaitlyn Livingston;
three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Ronald (Mary Ann) De Grave, Sugar Bush; LeRoy (Barb) De Grave, Green Bay; Darwin (Rita) De Grave, Luxemburg; Rose Mary Thompson, Kewaunee;
two sisters and one brother-in-law, Myra (Tebon) De Grave, Green Bay; Sharon (Mike) Dax, Luxemburg; seven brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, Conrad (Peggy) Umentum, Green Bay; Clark Umentum, Sheri Wasberg, both of Chicago, Ill.; Michelle (Larry) Stahl, Luxemburg; Robert Umentum, Green Bay; Greg (Mary) Umentum, Willow Brook, Ill.; Cindy (Dan) Beck, Sturgeon Bay; Richard Funk, Chicago, Ill.; his mother-in-law, Mildred Umentum, Green Bay.
Larry was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond De Grave; one sister-in-law, Sandy Funk; his father-in-law, Robert Umentum.
Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, from 2:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 9.
Visitation will continue between 9 and 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Sugar Bush.
Prayer service will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday, led by Sally Reynen, Pastoral Minister.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Rev. Dean Dombroski officiating.
Entombment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial benefit has been established in Larry's name.
A special word of "thanks" is extended the Nurses and Staff of Oncology Center, 3rd floor, St. Mary's Hospital.
Myrtle A. De Pas
Myrtle A. De Pas, age 94, Luxemburg, died Friday moring, April 4, 2003, at Linzmeier Fairview Home Health Care, Luxemburg.
Myrtle was born on May 24, 1908, in Tonet, to the late Silas and Leah (Willaem) De Champs.
On June 19, 1928, Myrtle married
Lawrence De Pas at St. Joseph Church, Champion.
He preceded her in death June 6, 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Erwin and Gloria Depas, Verne De Pas, all of Luxemburg; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Wendricks, Casco; many nieces and nephews.
Myrtle was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Nancy De Pas; one brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Josie De Champs; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Edward Wendricks, Joe and Esther LaCroix.
Friends called at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Prayer service was held at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church, Casco, with Rev. John Doerfler officiating. Entombment was in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

Raymond C. Krause
Raymond C. Krause, 89, formerly of Algoma, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Kewaunee Health Care Center.
He was born Nov. 17, 1913, in the township of Ahnapee.
Raymond attended one year at the Door-Kewaunee County Normal School.
He worked with his dad and uncle as a cheesemaker for Lake to Lake from 1938 to about 1966.
He then was a foreman for the Olsonite Corp. for 15 years, retiring at the age of 68.
He enjoyed playing cards and had a love for all of his pet animals.
Raymond married
Evelyn Mae Stephenson, June 10, 1938, in Sturgeon Bay.
She preceded him in death on June 19, 1998.
He is survived by his four daughters, Nancy Kratz, Algoma; Brenda Krause, Two Rivers; Kathleen (Steve) Diakoff, Canton, Ohio; and Candace Krause, Green Bay; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma from 9 a.m. Thursday, April 10, until time of services at 11 a.m., with Rev. Christopher Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.
The Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, handled the arrangements for the family.
Raymond B. Davister
Raymond B. Davister, 89, Luxemburg, died Monday afternoon, March 24, 2003, at a local nursing home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 20, 1913, in Luxemburg, to the late Emil and Barbara (Hoffman) Davister.
On Oct. 21, 1939, Ray married
Elizabeth Krines at St. Lawrence Church, Stangelville.
She preceded him in death Jan. 29, 2000.
Ray was a member of the Jefferson School Board, Montpelier, for many years.
He ran the family farm in Luxemburg until his retirement in 1978.
His enjoyments included hunting, fishing, playing cards, helping with the fieldwork, and his "two hamburgers and a cup of coffee" at the Village Kitchen.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Darlene (David) Rank, Manitowoc; Bonnie (Gordon) Liebergen, Greenleaf; twin sons, Richard (Laurie) Davister, Raymond F. (Sharon) Davister, all of Luxemburg; Robert Finnel, Denmark; 16 grandchildren, Gerald Rank, Donald (Janet) Rank, Julie (Scott) Konik, Janelle (Mike) Fiecko, Chad (Jill) Liebergen, Bradley, Allison, Kimberly and Hilary Davister, Ross, Philip and Lance Davister, Rhonda (Gerald "Scott") Reichardt, Rebecca (Thomas) Baroun, Robert Finnel II, Rochea (Dusty) Karnz; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan and Rachelle Rank, Michael and Cody Konik, Melissa and Erica Baroun, Hunter Karnz;
two sisters-in-law, Elsie Davister, Green Bay; Rose Davister, Luxemburg; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Frank Krines, Luxemburg; Beatrice (Mitchell) Budzban, Luxemburg.
Ray was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Finnel; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Henry and Irene Davister, Oliver Davister, Adolph
and Loretta Davister, Clarence Davister; four sisters
and four brothers-in-law, Viola and John Vickman, Anna and Martin Heraly, Odile and August Heraly, Mathilda and Clarence Baumgart; two sisters-in-law, Anastasia Krines, Margaret Krines.
Friends called at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26.
Visitation continued after 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Sugar Bush.
Prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, led by Sally Reynen, Pastoral Minister.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Rev. Dean Dombroski officiating.
Burial was in St. Hubert cemetery, Sugar Bush.
